And we never will, the most versatile fast bowler ever and an automatic pick in every XI there ever was

Not really true.

Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Ambrose, McGrath, Donald, Nehra all >> Wasim Akram.

You never saw him in his 90s, right?

I have, and everything is on YouTube as well.

I reckon you haven't seen the bowlers who I mentioned. Watch their videos. Especially Pathan in his prime was able to swing the new ball much better, both ways.

Wasim was way better then McGrath all McGrath did was boring bowling Line and length but I would say McGrath could easily outshine Wasim with his swing maybe bounce

I guess highlights don't do justice when it comes to reflecting player's caliber. Ambrose, McGrath, Donald were entirely different sort of bowlers. They were optimized for test cricket where line and length along with minor seam or swing would eventually hand them wickets. But they never had control or the ability to make fun of gun-batsmen at will like Wasim did.

Pathan was close, but for a very very short duration, and mainly due to Pakistan's lazy batting display.

Nah, Wasim is the most skillful bowler I have seen. I have seen all bowlers starting from late 80s and early 90s. Pathan or anyone could swing it both ways, but Wasim can do that as well and then some more.

Skillful, but not the best bowler.

I would put wasim ahead of Donald... but maybe behind Mcgrath and Ambrose.. but the other names.. not even in the same league. smh..

I have never ever seen a left armer swing the new ball both ways. Please post a video. Please no seam movement and going with the angle won't be counted as swing.

From a skills perspective, he was a complete fast bowler.

Could do everything at an ATG level.

That's a super rare talent we might never see again.

Skillful but under-achieved in tests.

Many test bowlers eclipsed him despite being less skilled.

400+ @ 23 are still ATG numbers its equivalent to 10000+ runs at a batting average of 55 that to playing mainly in sub cont.

Countless dropped catches. Maybe in range of 80-100. Some serious umpiring blunders. And diabetes.

Guy still managed to become a bona fide ATG :)

And arguably the GOAT.

No way was McGrath boring. He was so beautiful to watch. McGrath is better than Wasim.

Of course he is ATG.

Still the point he could have done better based on his skill.
