[VIDEOS] Pakistan players in Big Bash League 2025/26: Performance Watch

It is definitely one of the meekest knocks by a top tier batsman against a minnow team.

From that context, this is an ATG knock. So not sure why the outrage now.

I have seen Babar play some outstanding knocks too and also some meek knocks but this is a decent middle of the road knock that helped the team, so not sure why the nitpicking now.
I mean, if you are comparing any knock to one of the worst knocks, it'll look good.

Not a smart thing to do.

Nitpicking because hardly anyone defends his USA knock.

Not a Babar fan especially in t20s. He should never play, those signing and playing him are fools.

But, Whatever Smith did was not acceptable at all. You could have anyway got strike in the next over, and it wasn't the last over of the match as well.

Would love too the reactions if any Asian does this to any Non-Asian frontline batter when you have half of the overs left.
This would have been fair if Smith hadn't backed that call the way he did. He tore that next over apart. With 4 sixes and a four on the next five balls, Smith totally justified that decision

Whoa just noticed how come Naseem Shah hasn’t been picked for Big Bash? He would have been more valuable than Babar and Rizwan for sure?Is he injured? Don’t get the criteria sometimes how these teams pick even overseas players. He probably would have been the most useful Pak player in these conditons.

This is a comment from a Babar fan.

How deluded are these people?

Babar played solidly, hitting 30 runs, but Smith should've taken a single as the match was under Sydney Sixers' control. The balls were tough, so Babar Played dots, otherwise he'd have played at a 150+ strike rate. Meanwhile, wickets kept falling after Babar's departure, and notably Babar's top scorer streak continues when Pakistan chases 200+ with 2 centuries under his belt in such chase.

“Champion team never afraid of results. They know only process”

@Rana How big of an injustice this is that now players like Babar will be welcomed in T20 international with open arms. While the likes of Hasan Nawaz is nowhere to be seen near the team.

Now I'm feeling sorry for our boys. The amount of 'tactical' academia they've been through this tournament is a generation above what their brain is designed for.

Babar is playing to the gallery here. Just trying to show that he's being proactive out there. He's embarrassed he was exposed like that in front of everyone. You are so fussed about one single, what about all the dots you've played?

Also, what kind of shot was that on which he got out?! lol

However, the commentators need to chill. That's a totally normal reaction and there's nothing about it that is "not a good look" - they are just used to Pakistani players not being expressive.

RizBar fans defecting from the Sayalluminati after the embarrassing performances in the BBL, just remember we remember who you are, we will never forget.

Your social media footprints will remain for all to see in the next 20-30 years.

You had a chance to walk away, but you chose to side with evil tuktukery.

We forgive, but we won’t forget.

Players who should be picked in BBL - 'NONE'.

Naseem will get exposed once again in this WC, as usual.

Difference in cricket attitude and culture.

One guy was looking to make the chase easy by taking the power surge and get the maximum score so that by the end overs there was no pressure, while the other guy was interested in getting 50 completed and feel happy that he has a 50 in BBL, not giving a **** that his team will win or not. Like its disturbing that babar wanted a single for selfish reasons and smith caught him there

The aussies were angry the way this jahil hit the boundary cushion. Your team is in a winning position, after that brilliant over by Smith and you are upset about you not getting a 50.

Rizwan and Babar have been exposed and their t20 days are over......

Team won, kept in the competition and man didn’t come out to shake hands

Pathetic! Imagine he’s dropped or benched during the World Cup because of crap performance? He will ruin the team dressing room!

He probably felt he was 3 runs away from securing his spot in the WT20.

His fanboys would’ve been yapping away cos he scored 3 50’s.

I've heard the Aussie PM made a personal visit to the changing room to apologize to Babar for the treatment as well.

To be frank, if Babar truly is sulking over this, the Sixers probably will realize they are better off without him. This Primadonna behavior is so against the Aussie culture that no one is really going to stand for it.

I agree with everything there except the reaction to hitting the boundary rope. Aussie cricketers are the worst behaved and we've seen batsmen do this among other things a million times. Nothing wrong in expressing your emotions - he's getting judged just because he's a pakistani cricketer.

Nothing to do with Asian or non Asian.

Aussies are ruthless and play to win.

issue was, SMith already told Babar he would take the next over as the power surge. Babar played 4 dots and than tried to run on the last ball to hog the strike to get his 50. SMith was like nawww mate, saw what you did.

Smith told him that he would choose that particular over for the surge as the boundary was shorter.

Babar was frusturated about his personal milestone and not that his team was not in a better winning position.

That shows you are not a team player.

Babar and Rizwan got exposed here.

Just watch how after a few hours we will hear how Babar is not happy, than a tweet will be hared where the team has apologised to Babar. Same drama with both these dramaybaaz cricketers.

You have NOT HIT EVEN ONE SIX in the entire innings. Why would the team want to waste the precious surge over on you when the other batsman is going all guns blazing???

Babar is such a poor judge of the game.
It is as simple as this.

If you wanted to play the anchor role. Then you shouldn't have gotten out like that and shouldn't have gotten angry after Smith refused you the single.

If you are not the anchor batter. Then why did you played so many dots and batted at 120 SR?

Don’t you think Misbah is getting exposed here as well?

He created the RizBar duo.

These guys are crying about “humiliation”. You’ve had 4 years you jokers. Not learnt a thing about t20 batting - pampered like little babies by the PCB. What did they expect, another country team was gone bend the knee to them?

The Aussies have actually overdone the hype around especially babar. You haven’t lived up to it, so stop your petulance!

Exactly. If Babar wasn't happy being a second fiddle then he shouldn't have played so many dot balls and batted at 120 SR

The amount of science, physics and chemistry these so called Pakistani experts on social media express on what’s considered a meme league in Australia is hilarious!

What Smith did to Babar was just a meme moment. There was no desperate cricketing reason to do it.

Sixers most likely would have won the game even if they did just take the single and Babar statpadded his way to 50.

The real issue for Babar is the crunch games now and the inevitable “retired out” that’s like an axe looming over his head. It’s going to happen, he knows it.

This sums up the problems with us Desis. We love to play victim but never find time to introspect with any of our shortcomings.

You need to look in the mirror and cut a Ric Flair style promo on yourself, I done it loads of times, called myself an SOB and what not, but am better for it.

These guys though just want everyone and their dog to blow smoke up their behinds, how can you move forward like that?

No amount of paisa can fix this mental deformity & narccisitic personality disorder

Exactly. Look at how our ex-players blame foreigners with their toxic rants. Pakistan cricket and their fans need to accept that they their is no cricketing intelligence. If we did, these PR campaigns of Babar and Rizwan would be getting no views on social media and we would have produced at least one good coach by now after all these years.

Babar and Rizwan are tarnishing the reputation of Pakistan cricket. The state of them. I'm not joking they should be playing in some retired league or they should just stick to the Ramadhan Cup. That's their level.
Bro all oppositions have to do now is remind Babar of Steve Smith not trusting him and get into his head

Babar clearly showed that the mistrust in him encroached into his mind, and was bowled the next ball he faced.

Unless he is picked in ipl and performs there , he will not be a serious contender.
He deserves to get picked in the IPL. In the last 11 BBL matches he has averaged 87 and struck at 177. IPL teams have selected BBL players in the past who have done far less

Smith had a very clear plan in mind - he wanted to take the Power Surge, target the shorter boundary and try to get 30 off the over. He ended up getting 32. Nothing wrong with what Smith did, infact more batsmen should have this kind of confidence in their abilities. He called his shot and took it, that's what being a gun batter is all about.

It's not about Asian batters vs. non-Asian batters, it's about killer instinct and the desire to play the game the way it's meant to be played.

Babar did okay in powerplay I agree. But afterwards he slowed down massively hence his impact took a hit.
he always slows down when he nears fifty. He could have scored 50 off 35 Balls. a decent outcome. but in 11th over he played 4 dot balls and then got out in 13th

Always after milestones

Most asian cricket players have ego as big as himalayas. Aussies are practical and ruthless, that’s why they have won so many ICC titles. :kp

he played three dot Balls which he could have taken advanatge of. So Babar gets the blame after Smith Rightfully refused him a single on last Ball

Babar probabaly thought he is playing for Pakistan and he can assert himself on other players.

Hitting the boundary cushion because he did nt get to fifty and then staying in Dressing room after match was over reeks of stinking and toxic behaviour tha palgued our team in last t20 wc. Im pretty sure Garry Kirsten reported the same to naqvi after tournamenr was over

Babar is an extremely toxic and selfish person and player. He literally ruins the team environment. Same feedback on Rizwan by the way.

Babar has been Playing International Cricket for 10 years but he has nt improved either as a player or person off the field. the way he carries himself and talks with media , he gives paindu vibes from Androon lahore lol yet his fans continue to drool over him

I have not played cricket at too high a level but in street cricket these are the most embarrassing things

Team mates making you retire
Opposition happy to not get you out
Your own team mate not giving you strike.

All of these have happened to our player in BBL.

Most embarrassing thing in street cricket is when a fast bowler starts bowling spin against you or even bowling left handed for a laugh or coz they think you are a bacha.

I hope that this final embarrassment doesn't happen to our players in PSL.

He didnt come out of the dressing room?

If the same BBL had selected champion players like Maaz Sadaqat, Farhan, Saim Ayub - they would have a smash hit on their hands.

But just like the low IQ pakistani awam they got caught up with the PR machine of Babar and Rizwan and results are for all to see.

Let me remind everyone that BBL barely has any international aussies playing for them.

These guys cannot even bat well against aussie domestic bowlers. Absolute frauds. Total scam artists. Keep on trying to stay in Pakistan t20I squad so they keep on getting these domestic leagues.

Its all about the $$$$

In PSL the same fraudsters are placed as holy cows.

Theres a reason why Saim Ayub wants to badly leave Peshawar Zalmi. I hope he gets to leave that toxic team.

Umm, no. People always knew Babar and co. had strike rate issues. But those kept getting masked until teams realized what was up and also covid ended. Their purple patch lasted 2/3 years.

We can all thank the loser Indian team who lost by 10 wickets for gifting us Babar and Rizwan.

Not a good outing for Pak stars. Haris Rauf probably is an exception i suppose.

Funny - the so called "champion" Pakistani players are always unknown and obscure without many games on their CV (to play and get exposed).

This is happening from long long time , they always hyped next generation player when current player's exposed. Rinse and repeat :kp

Your previous generation couldn't even defeated India in any world cup game's. Lol

The Aussies are extremely professional athletes, even at the domestic level and they contrast sharply with the unprofessional and egotistical fake superstars from Pakistan.

In fact, for me, the most telling part of the match was during the 16th over (15.3 to be exact) when Babar was fielding and his laziness allowed the ball to roll into the boundary. His Aussie team mate puts his hands in the air in disgust and disbelieve and couldn’t imagine how unprofessional Babar was.

Mind you, Babar is the biggest cricket star out of Pakistan today and this is the disgust he invokes among even foreign domestic players.
