[VIDEOS] Pakistan players in Big Bash League 2025/26: Performance Watch

These guys are so predictably poor. Bat like cowards every time
Not cowardice.

He was genuinely trying.

But it was horrible horrible outcome. Edges and miscues. It was like he has been plucked from the second XIs at the last minute to play in the firsts.

He just couldn't contend with the bowling.

35 needed from 3 overs now

How’s Rizwan’s Innings feeling now if you are a renegades fan?

I don’t think he was

He was genuinely trying to just anchor
The problem with that buffoon is he doesn’t try to start off with and when he knows he should get a move on doesn’t have the ability even when he tries

This happens when you lack skills as a batter. Rizwan has failed to work on his batting skills and thus has fallen behind with world's t20 Cricket.

Maxwell called it perfectly on the mic when Rizwan and Brown were batting

He said along the lines of “if we get brown, game will open up. Rizwan is doing nothing, just playing second fiddle to Brown”

Nah man he just couldn't hit.
Commies called him out on it straight away. It was just hoicks and mistimes.

It's the time of innings that you would think a player's eyes are gone and he gotta retire.

Rizwan tried hard to score a 50 at 100 strike rate...LOL

41 off 38.... Useless..

Rauf expensive as usual... 4 over 44 runs and 2 wickets

For how long can Rizwan continue to be in the team?

The thing is with Shadab, Haris Rauf and Hassan Ali, they do a serviceable job in what is essentially a domestic level competition. They are not great, but neither are they very poor - this is probably their level, decent domestic type stuff.

Babar, Rizwan have been exposed to the world - for most of us, who have seen them regularly, it has just confirmed their level. They are playing second fiddle to players who essentially wouldn’t even get in to the Aus C team. It was funny watching Josh brown at times farming the strike with Rizwan very early in the innings. He knew he had to do the heavy lifting.

Shaheen, even with a curtailed campaign looked poor too. Average pace and no penetration at all.

Rizwan has a chance to withdraw midway from BBL citing personal reasons. Only this can save him now. Better than more mediocre performances.

Horrible horrible innings by Rizwan. Played well below the required rate and when it was time to step up, got out.

Pakistan players today in BBL:

Haris Rauf (Melbourne Stars):
2-0-44-2
Mohammad Rizwan (Melbourne Renegades): 41 (38)

Another poor show for Babar today.

Not sure what is more embarrassing- Babar himself or the awaam who cheer his name and pray for wickets to fall.

HEAT ADD OVERSEAS QUICK | Zaman Khan Joins Brisbane

The Brisbane Heat will welcome Pakistan pace bowler Zaman Khan as the replacement for his injured countryman Shaheen Shah Afridi for the remainder of the KFC Big Bash League.
Khan, 24, will be available for the clash with his old BBL team, the Sydney Thunder, at the Gabba on Saturday afternoon aftre being cleared by the BBL Technical Committee to join the Heat as an International Replacement Player.

The right-arm quick, who has a distinctive slinging action, played four games for the Thunder in BBL|13, taking eight wickets at 16.38.

He has since played 10 T20 Internationals and a One Day International for Pakistan.

Khan, who is captained by Afridi at the Lahore Qalanders in the Pakistan Super League, has recently been playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament where he took a hat-trick in his first game of the competition.

As well as playing in the PSL and BBL, Khan has experience in The Hundred in the UK where he played for the Manchester Originals.

The Heat take on the Sydney Sixers tonight at Coffs Harbour in a crucial clash, with a top four spot up for grabs as the BBL closes in on the Finals.

Brisbane Heat coach Johan Botha said the addition of Khan would add depth to the team’s bowling strikepower and experience.

“He’s a genuine wicket-taker up front but he can also control an over with his variations and pace,’’ he said.

“We know he can complement our attack nicely and give us some additional options in the key bowling periods in the game.

“Zaman was a handful for batting line-ups when he first came on the scene but he has really evolved his game to offer plenty of options with the ball.”

The Heat return to Brisbane tomorrow to begin their preparations for the return clash with the Sydney Thunder at the Gabba after the Thunder won their encounter in Canberra before Christmas.

Connolly had Rizwan on a string and now he is stumped after scoring 21 of 25.

I don't think BBL has ever had a worse overseas signing in terms of impact than Rizwan. Not only he is not scoring but he is also eating up balls. Effectively leaving a negative impact for Renegades.

Both Rizwan and JFM are pulling Renegades down. If I'm the coach. I'm putting Rizwan at 11 as a specialist Keeper and JFM on the bench.

Push Sutherland up the order.
Or give JFM the opening spot with Brown, move Seifert to 3

Seifert keeps and Rizwan sits out

I’m always watching Rizwan play with the perspective of wanting him to fail or expose himself…

But from a cricketing/anchoring/requirement of the game POV, why did Rizwan play that stupid shot against Connolly at that moment? He had JFM at the other end to do the hitting. What was the need when the required rate was still only 6?

JFM needs time off. Atrocious form. Seifert as a keeper will cost you runs and crucial chances
I was reading through Renegades social media channels etc

They feel a bloke called Caleb Jewel is unfairly being kept out for Rizwan. Just make the adjustment, no one will care if Rizwan is dropped for him

Add the extra middle order batter, make Siefert keep

It puts ICC ranking scrutiny in the limelight. Rizwan and Babar are currently in top 10, or even top 5, but they have batting like tossers all throughout.
