2.55pm No news to bring you, alas. The rain seems to have settled in, and there's no prospect of an imminent start. Oh well.

3.10pm Apparently there had been a brief intention to get underway right now ... but the rain is back, and so now we won't be starting for a little while longer. It's a good ground for drainage at the new-look Kensington Oval, so there is still some hope of a match of some length. Let's see what happens. The latest we can get underway is 5.10pm, which would be long enough for a five-over thrash.

it is now 3:44 there

4.05pm There is a glimmer of a prospect of play. The umpires, Billy Doctrove and Clyde Duncan, are sizing up the conditions and the rain has undoubtedly stopped. Watch this space. We have another hour and five minutes before the cut-off of 5.10pm local time ...

4.10pm We have a possible match. If there is no more rain, play will get underway in 11 minutes time, and it will be 11 overs a side.

players are on the field. it is 0-0 - and Australia batting
Shawn Marsh and Ronchi to open

one bowler can bowl 3 overs. rest 2 overs max
Marsh hits a six over the bowler's head to end the over
9-0 after 1 over

Benn the spinning giant to bowl. sight screen problem again. no one to change the screen to black. There are people sitting close by but they were pointing at some other guy

Target too small. That useless knob Watson needs to step it up.

X Marshall opens with six first ball off Lee
WI 9-0 after 1 over - need 89 off 60 balls

Both WI openers Marshall and Perkins are playing their for international T20 match
Johnson starts with 4 byes that goes over keepers head and then six next ball by Marshall

that was massive six

1.5 Johnson to Marshall, SIX, massive! Massive! That was fetched off a good length with the most monstrous of wind-ups, and that hits the roof of the Greenidge and Haynes stand. West Indies are brawling, as a replacement ball comes out

25 runs off Johnson's over
WI 34-0 after 2 overs - need 64 off 54 balls

2.1 Lee to Perkins, FOUR, ballsy cricket! Perkins goes down on one knee, to Lee of all bowlers, and defies all dental appointments by flicking the ball over his shoulder for four!

wow!

Marshall is coming down the pitch to Lee....and this other guy played the scoop shot off lee

Stunning batting

Great calypso cricket!! West Indians really enjoying this!
Just a shame about the boring commentary

LOL is MJ trying to set a record for highest economy rate bowled ever.

End of over 2 (25 runs) - West Indies 34/0 (65 runs required)
XM Marshall 25* (9b 1x4 3x6) MG Johnson 1-0-20-0
WKD Perkins 1* (3b) B Lee 1-0-9-0
This has been an expensive over ...
1.6 Johnson to Marshall, FOUR, galloping down the track, and a chancy under-edge, but that'll do for West Indies! No fielder at fine leg, and another boundary to the cause
1.5 Johnson to Marshall, SIX, massive! Massive! That was fetched off a good length with the most monstrous of wind-ups, and that hits the roof of the Greenidge and Haynes stand. West Indies are brawling, as a replacement ball comes out
1.4 Johnson to Perkins, 1 leg bye, a squawked appeal, but that pitched outside leg. Another run
1.3 Johnson to Marshall, 1 run, full length, and an inside-edged drive into the covers
1.3 Johnson to Marshall, 3 wides, chaotic cricket. A wide, a fumble, a cheeky run, a desperate dive, and more runs for the cause
1.2 Johnson to Marshall, SIX, a vast strike! Clobbered high and handsome over deep midwicket. That was an open-shouldered drive, and so sweetly timed
1.1 Johnson to Marshall, 4 byes, bonus runs! Short, and climbs steeply off the deck, over the sprawling keeper and away to the boundary
Here's Mitchell Johnson

X Marshal 35 off 13 balls

When did he get so ballsy?

GONE!!!!!
run out, Marshall goes
53/1

Well done Marshall!!

Marshall is DA BROTHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad he got run out, but man each of those sixes were BANG!!

and the good thing is these two are taking all the singles they can

Marshall out on a Mishab. looked like he didi the paddle thing but the ball hit his pad and came to the bowler and got run out

Just jumped into my SPace Shuttle, and made it here from the Euro 2008 game - Turkey just beat Croatia.

So, whats happening?

Isnt this a late start?

And OUT!

Ramdin goes....Johnson gets him

64-3

34 from 33 balls

that guy in the yellow shirt is the captain of the world's best cricket team and was also the captain of the world cup winning teams in 03 and 07.

HAd the privilege of watching Ritchi Richardson bat yesterday.

WI could do with him....

2 wides from Oz spinner....dont know who he is....and 2 byes

Still need 29 off 27

The SIXER knocked the spectator over - female - OUCH!!!!

Nah the Windies cant mess this up.

66666666666666666666666666666666666

82/3

Another SIXER!!!

82-3

And its 1 handed again!

16 off 21 balls

I just dont rate Mitchell Johnson - something very 'average' about him...

Direct hit - overthrows - referred to 3rd umpire.

ITS ALL HAPPENING HERE AT (wherever they are playing)
