Gayle gone, bowled by Broad for 104.

Windies 220 for 2, Sarwan on 99.

Marshall gone second ball for 0, cricket is a humorous game.

Marshall gone for a duck!

220/3

He shouldnt have been picked in 1st place!

"You mention Bob Marley, but forget to say that it's also Rick Astley's birthday today," reminds Dominic. "For goodness sake - you can't mention one legend and forget another!" I do apologise Dominic. And Rick

Four minutes until lunch. My word - I know Chanderpaul has a weird stance, but this is taking the mick. He's practically facing the bowler...

Lunch. 2 absolutely vital wickets that have reignited the game, perfect timing. A couple more after lunch would be great.

yeah they both got a century but consider, 2-60 in the session for England. very impressive, considering they were bowling to 'in' batsmen of a high standard, on a good batting wicket.

Broad strikes back with two full deliveries, first removing the centurion, than the promising beast Xavier for a duck.

224/3

If they nip Sarwan after lunch, they could restrict them to about 350 which would be a decent effort.

Chanderpaul sweating. If he is taken out cheaply, England are well back in this.

well worth a referral, when the best player pads up he may be given out. you have to be positive. he isn't looking like a player who averages 100 at all right now, let's get him.

England feel as though the world is against them - like Mikey says, poor decision to refer.

no I think it was a good one to refer, its all about pressure. maiden overs, and referrals. and now the pressure has told. big big wicket - what do we always say about them on pakpassion - Collapso Cricket!! I said it happened in 2004, and the same thing has happened again, a handful of wickets!

Pressure of runs been dried up has told there!

Nash new man in. W.I need to re-build here!

nearly another one. I knew 318 wasn't the awful score some people thought it was, merely a below-average one. If you bowl well, you can defend it. Gayle and Sarwan played very well, but this isn't a 500 pitch by any means. how about 350? I think we will win if we get them out for another hundred runs.

Batting seems to be getting harder here so which ever team can get a lead may be in box seat. I think batting last will be very tricky!

Chanderpaul 9(56) - Nash 1(12)

Current partnership 3 runs, 4.4 overs, RR: 0.64 (Chanderpaul 2, Nash 1)
WI 238-4 after 96 overs - trail by 80 runs
last 10 overs 8-1
47 overs remaining today

9 off 56. hard working, great concentration but just not on the level of a Lara, Tendulkar, even Inzy. he is a Dravid at best.

new ball still not taken. 40 minutes to tea
WI 244-4 after 100 overs
Chanders 14(70) - Nash 2(22)

244/4

Runs have dried up and w.i pretty much losing initative here... poor stuff!

Chanders punishing Panesar. Hits a four. Turning point of the match

102.2 Panesar to Chanderpaul, FOUR, that's big from Chanderpaul - he goes for a slog sweep and connects well, and it falls just short of the boundary

Wi 249-4 after 103 overs - trail by 68 runs

Dravid is miles ahead.

agreed. only Dravid's poor run of form in 07/08 allows Chanders to approach his level

Harmison on. this will be either 300 all out, or 400-6!

nai navaily ball taken. Harmisson the first one to bowl with it
WI 251-4 after 104 overs - trail by 67 runs

cricket authorities were hoping they could save the $10 for the ball but Eng took it

At this rate west indies might crawl up to englands total by close of play today!

zzzzz!

Chanderpaul gone and england in charge now

Broads bowled very well today!

A very adventurous innings by chanderpaul.. took one too many risks in the end.

A huge wicket for Broad and England. Interesting to see how Chanderpaul reacted to the review. Nash ran up to him and clearly suggested "look - you're the best batsmen in the side. We need you" and he then asked for it.

105.4 Broad to Chanderpaul, OUT, this cuts back into Chanderpaul at pace and a huge appeal goes up. Up goes the finger - will there be another review? Yes there will! Chanderpaul's asked for it and after a short delay, which showed no doubt in Hill's initial decision, the finger goes up for the second time
S Chanderpaul lbw b Broad 20 (86b 2x4 0x6) SR: 23.25

Ramdin starts with a four

WI 258-5 after 106 overs - trail by 60
38 overs left today

Ramdins come out to play some shots! Great to see!

Ramdin hammers another 4, hope he stays in a while

Nash and Ramdin doing well here.

295/5

Nash playing some nice shots of flintoff!

300 up now for west indies... probably 20 overs play left today with current over-rate and light.

This test may have an interesting finale but so far barring some of KP's and Gayle's batting, this match has been very dour.

Thats 2 (fairly tough) chances which have gone straight through Bell and short leg. He got a hand to the first one, the ball lobbed up into the air but out of his reach. Second chance went right through his legs (both off Nash and both straight off the face off the bat).

310-5
8 runs behind

15 overs remaining but only 32 minutes left in day
Nash 31(111) - Ramdin 31(69)
WI 313-5 after 129 overs @ 2.42 - trail by 5 runs

Games almost gone dead! Come on play some bloody shots!

GONE! Ramdin out, edges Panesar to slip

320-6

The (little) animation in the commentators voice almost gave me a heart-attack! :37: :37:

Ramdin gone, Monty Passenger gets his 1st wicket

320/6

superb bowling by Panesar. Set up the dismissal perfectly.

WI 320-6 after 131.4 overs - lead of 2 runs
12.2 overs left in the day - 20 minutes left

Taylor in, has a test ton.

Nash may need to start opening up a little soon. Hopefully west indies can get 400.

In test match last played here between sides west indies collapsed big time in 2nd inns!

Forgot sidebottoms playing this test hes been pretty average in game so far lol

140.1 Harmison to Taylor, OUT, Harmison finds one to swing back into Taylor who, perhaps expecting it to swing away, shoulders arms and is rapped on the back pad in front of the off stump. Clever bowling from Harmison and that's a really useful late wicket for England
JE Taylor lbw b Harmison 8 (28b 1x4 0x6) SR: 28.57

West Indies 341/7 (140.2 ov) - lead of 23 runs

chaar admi ballay kay ird gird

2 overs left

Chaar admi phir say ballay ko gherao main liye hoay. Aisa lagta hay koi ajooba dekhnay aaye houn
Aur aik aur Chokkaaa! Bahot he shandar ballay baazi ka muzahira Benny ki taraf say.

Excellent team effort by England, who put yesterday's lacklustre performance in the field behind them, creating intense pressure with accurate, disciplined bowling. Although it was England's day, West Indies are still on top in this game. The Windies team of not so long ago would have lost patience and utterly capitulated against bowling like this, but there's some backbone there now, and they no longer seem totally reliant on Chanderpaul. I've been particularly impressed with Chris Gayle, who until recently I never rated as anything more than a limited overs pinch hitter.

It's encouraging to see a proper crowd at a West Indian Test match, too! I know there were lots of empty seats in the big (expensive) concrete stands, but parts of the ground actually looked quite full today, and I would expect even more to turn up tomorrow, with it being a weekend.

Windeez 372-8

Broad gets Mr Benn

Any update on Stuart Broad's height, has he stopped growing yet? 6'7" last time I checked.
