But i think virat kohli is going to do exactly what i have stated. Declaration is most likely during the last drinks break.
 
Kohli signals the number two from the dressing room, clad in his whites. Two more overs for Mishra to get fifty before the declaration? Shannon Gabriel comes back into the attack
 
Ok now I understand why they batted for a little longer.

So that the min req to enforce follow on would be higher.

Or else, we would have to bat again if WI pass that by a whisker.

A bit of test for these Indian bowlers. Lets see if they can get 20 wickets here. I am a fan of Yadav hope he does well.

Ashwin has 176 wickets in 33 games. What a record. Should easily end up with 400 wickets with amount of test cricket India will play from now.

Mate its a no win situation for us
If we do take 20 wickets certain posters will say BCCI bought them and if we don't same posters will say we got a lulloo attack and their world class tailunt would have ripped up this batting lineup

Well I will say you have done well because this pitch even though it's slow and low you can score runs on it. Different people will have different opinions bhai.

Ugh!

Chandrika might be the worst opening batsman in the history of cricket. Averages 25 in domestic still opens in tests. 4 ducks in 4 tests. Bin this guy please.

I think Virat wasted a touch too many overs with pacers. Should have given 6 overs to spinners (Ash got 3...Mishra should have got 3 too). May be we would have got another breakthrough.

Actually all bowlers bowled well but Yadav never made the batsmen play with his swing so he was a bit ineffective. Tomorrow, he needs to sort that out and make batsmen play.

Ishant looked threatening and Shami had probing lines.

Lots of chances created.

All in all a good day.
 
A 4 man attack with Holder and carlos braithwaite ??

Some Pakistani have big egos bro it happens. Cricket it's gentlemens game, if someone performs I respect that.

I'm looking forward to seeing how current Indian team develops under kohli, like the way he manages the bowlers. Lets see if they can get 20 wickets away from home. On a decent batting wicket here, getting 20 wickets will be a good confidence booster for the attack. Personally think you will do it, Ashwin is brilliant spinner and Shami will do well on this tour I think. Maybe should have played Jadeja though

I like Yadav but he shouldn't have opened the bowling!!!! Should have been Shami! Yadav should be used in bursts as an attacking bowler. He has something about him hope he develops into a good bowler for you guys! :)

Moen is average. A decent batter and a below avg spinner.

Shakib is good but not World Class.

Angelo I forgot. A potential world class AllRounder.

Let's hope we develop.

Early days.

Batting is shaky for now which I think may take a year to develop. Bowling needs probing spells overseas not just "talent".

They really fought for it hard.

Scorecard doesn't do justice to their impact.

At one point, we were staring down the barrel at 230-4 with only Kohli and no established bats. Saha, Ashwin and Mishy boy were there.

These 2 piled so much that it became easy for everyone else to come and have a nice go.

Haha indeed it is!

Batting will be fine in the long run, Rahane and Kohli seem to thrive away from home, in Asia any problems will be corrected by them. Too good not to be corrected and KL will come good when he breaks in.

Hahaha yes your bowling is a little bit of a worry, good performances in this series will give them confidence. Aren't there any Indian young bowlers coming through bro? Even Pakistan is finding some batting talent with potential :)) (who if developed correctly can be good players)

Don't know much about young Indian pacers.

Plus Indian pacers need to be judged after 2 years. Whatever they do in the first 2 years is good but 2 years is the cutoff to judge.

History teaches us that.

Hahaha very true similar thing happens to our batters start of well and fall off badly after a while. Something seriously wrong with the way you develop bowlers and how we develop batsmen it's even worse.

The way BCCI is investing in tests you will need some quality bowlers soon!!!

Chandrika doesn't look comfortable against anyone. What is a batsman with a FC avg of 25 doing opening in international Test cricket ?

I don't blame the player, I hold the selectors responsible. Leon Johnson should replace him in next match.
 
A score of 550+ without getting all out. Not sure when was the last time this happened with our young batting lineup. Awesome to see the lower middle order contribute.

Now for 5 specialist bowlers to take remaining 19 wickets in 3 days. Hope rains stay away and we take our catches
 
The Indian fans will never be entirely happy, even if Kohli gets an octuple hundred and in response the opposition scores 4 all out, however to the neutral observer this is looking like one of India's better overseas performances in known memory. Credit to them.

There are some with really high standards, some wary after India's repeated losses to better teams while some just wanna fit in on a Pakistani forum by downplaying anything good by Indians. Take your pick who's who.
