The Dark Knight beats all. Wonderful understated performance from Bale. And words arent enough for the Joker. The movie completely explains why Batman has to be the Dark Knight.

Edit - had to remove spoilers since some people havent seen the movie yet

The Dark Knight- The best superhero movie.

Swaraj, I agree with you brother, but don't leak the story here, a lot of people have not watched it yet.

Watched Bollywood film 'Hulchul'. A good film for a change. Enjoyed it a lot and I have to say was a wonderful film. I liked it :) ! I think I´m a year or so late in watching this film.

I remember watching Hulchul with my friends and we had a blast, really had fun watching it.

Thanks Wasim. Kehra haal ahin Saeen? hope u r doing well. just busy yaar, will give you a detailed answer in ur intro thread later.

Jumper- Amazing, I know critics and some big brains are calling this movie a crap, but the movie works. whenever you watch a superhero movie, you gotta accept it the way it is, of course the plot could have been better, but I really had fun watching it. The movie excited me as much as I got excited watching a movie back in my teen days.
Acting-
Hayden- improving with his every new release. He was decent. Doug Liman can get anybody to act.
Jamie Bell- Outstanding. Hayden was not bad, but Jamie made him look so ordinary, He simply dominates the second half.
Rachel Bilson- Her voice is to die for, She is cute, but not very beautiful. Face expressions and strong acting are her strengths.
Samuel Jackson- An institute of acting, but seriously I am kinda getting tired of watching him in every second hollywood movie.

I watched Wanted, it was very good, Jolie was stunning :O

The last line did me in, and its a good laugh if you're bored

last one I watched was Kismet Konnection, and before that Meet dave, which was a complete flop...

I watched Knocked Up - very funny, enjoyed it.

7/10

The Happening- Time pass, usually have really high expectations from M. Night Shyamalan. He has not really delivered after "The Sixth Sense", "Signs" was just okay.

watched Ocean's 11. It is entertaining but dumb at the sametime. I like it

We watched The Orphanage.

A Spanish horror film with English subtitles. Quite scary in parts.

A decent film - 7/10

Watched it at the cinema...loved it!

The Dark Knight last night.

I absolutely loved it. I already used to read the Batman comics, so I had been awaiting this since the end of Batman Begins.

They'll obviously make a sequel, but with no Heath Ledger and the bar set so high, I don't know how good that can be.

Mad Max 2: Road Warrior

Was at the cinema presented by Eric Bana at the Melbourne International Film Festival. Still excellent.

Bollywood's Love 2050. First half is banal but second half looked good on the big screen, even if it was a fusion of Blade Runner/Matrix and loads of other Hollywood scifis.

Donkey Punch - once you get past the orgy scenes the movie's not a bad thriller, just the first bit is lewd.

Dark Knight - loved it, lucky enough to see it at the IMAX (booked in advance but still couldn't get a presentation before August 1st), will see it again.

Watched Singh is Kinng yesterday. First half was funny and decent, but the second half was dire.

Overall not a great film, barely watchable, with Katrina Kaif particularly wooden in her role. Akshay Kumar is a decent actor who makes this film half decent. 5/10

Watched Jaane Tu Jaanu Mein. A wonderful film :) . I will give it seven out of 10.

The Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Mummy 3 - 3/10

ive been a mummy fan, mummy 1 was just brilliant, mummy 2 was just the unexpected happend and was even better than the 1st

the third was as to be expected nothing suprised me although i was looking forward to something exciting something special but it wasnt, waste of time!!!

and they had a new evelyn (looks too old for brendan, her english accent wasn't upto scratch as was Rachel Weisz (the original evelyn of mummy 1 &2) and her brother since when did he have an american accent??? LOLZ he was kinda funny

i think if they couldnt think of anything better then there shouldnt have been a third mummy, they totally ruined it!!!

Journey to the Centre of the Earth, however I didn't get to see it in 3D. The old, James Mason version remains tops, though Brendan's a cutie.

Mummy 3: awesome, I'd see it again. Made that much more enjoyable because I'd been to the First Emperor/ Terracotta army exhibition at the British Museum in April.

Love 2050...is by far the worst movie ever made

Karate Kid - great movie/documentry. I will watch it again sometime in next 2-7 days

Before that in last 3 days I saw The Bank Job (robbery) and I am half way through Vantage point (presidential assaination)

I just saw Iron Man. It was way better than any of the spider man movies and quite unique from all the other super hero movies. RDJ was perfect as iron man, doesn't take himself too seriously but also brings intensity to the role.

We watched Awake last night. A film about a guy who is "awake" during major heart surgery.

Good film, worth a watch and it has Jessica Alba in it :)

Watched 'Singh is King' yesterday. A hilarious film :)) ! Superb acting by Akshay Kumar and co. :) .

My rating: Eight out of ten.

Just finished watching 'A Wednesday'. Such a fantastic movie. You dont get to see such movies nowadays.I strongly reccomend this movie to every one here

stars Naziruddin Shah and Anupam Kher

Yesterday was a public holiday in South Africa. Wife and I watched a few movies. Was meant to watch Hansie, but settled for some comedies instead.

Swing Vote was a comedy starring Kevin Costner and Kelsey Grammer. About the loser alcoholic dad who has his 15 minutes of fame when he has to cast the vote to decide the president.

The House Bunny was a typical romcom. Anna Faris can really play the role of a dumb blonde. Anyway story is about a Playboy bunny that leaves the mansion and becomes the house mother of a sorority. The sorority sisters aren't the best looking and the ex-bunny does the makeover.

A movie I watched on TV on the weekend was a drama called Reign over Me. Probably most of the most touching films I have ever seen. It is the story of a man dealing with grief of losing his family (incl. the dog) on 9/11. This is not about what happened on 9/11 at all or pushing any political message etc. It is about a man who has given up on life i.e. Adam Sandler and how an old college friend (Don Cheadle) helps him.

I've seen that. I actually got it out thinking it would be a comedy (I saw it had Adam Sandler in it) but it turned out to be a VERY serious and moving film. Definitely well worth a watch and Sandler does a brilliant job in a serious role.

I just saw 'Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?'.....quite funny and worth a watch. Though I was hoping he would spend a bit more time in Pakistan than he did....he just dossed around the dirtiest parts of the NWFP and made Pakistan look like Afghanistan.

Bachanna Ae Haseeno. An average movie I would say. The first half was pretty good but in the second half the movie failed to deliver big time. Ranbir Kapoor was superb though. Didn't really like him in his debut role but he does prove his talent here.

There will be blood - violent, sickening, got a big draggy in the middle

The curse of Golden Flower with chow yuen fat - and you think Bollywood is corny and OTT??

I just bought there will be blood. Actually i bought it five days ago haven't been able to watch it yet but looking forward to seeing Daniel's award winning performance.

I saw don't mess with the Zohan recently. Adam sandler was hilarious in it although i could have done without the excessive humping.

We watched 21 yesterday.

Based on a true story I believe about a Maths whizkid who made and lost loads of money from the Vegas casinos.

Enjoyed it - 8/10.

Saw Wall.E yesterday. Not sure how much I would have enjoyed it otherwise but having a friend called Wally who we could relate a few things to made it pretty hilarious

Watched Ocean's 11 again. Well just half of ut. I fell asleep in middle and then woke up put it back on and went back to sleep

I watched Welcome to Sajjanpur (sucked balls to be honest lol) .... and i am planning to watch eagle eye tomorrow...

Hey i don't know about anyone else but i've been watching some old school chinese martial art flicks from the "shaw brothers". Some of the most amazing martial art movies i've seen. Just wanted to know if anyone else is interested in these kind of movies.

Welcome to Sajjanpur- didn't enjoyed much it was an ordinary movie.

A Wednesday- starring Naseerudin Shah, Anupan Kher and Jimmy Shergil.

One of the best movies to have come out Bollywood this year. If you liked Aamir you'll like this as well.

Heard that this movie is against Muslims and they are shown as terrorists , is that true ?

The movie is about terrorism and a pissed off common man. It has nothing to do with religion. One of the officers is also a muslim and maybe even the character of naseerudin shah.

good movie though.

And you just gave away the suspense.

All the terrorists named Muslims ?

Alright lets be realistic here. Where does the character of naseerudin get the source of information about the terrorists from? Media nothing else. When was the last time you heard about a non-muslim terrorist in India? If they had non-muslim terrorists in this movie it would be nothing but sucking up to the muslim community.

I agree...

I saw "Romeo must die" or something like that. Nice love story. It maybe a sequel to Romeo & Juliet or something like that. There were few songs and some memories of past. I don't understand these artsy movies well so I don't try to think much but this was fun and if I think who Romeo was, then he didn't die and was strong enough to survive and face the realities of life. A good lesson to all

I watched Wrong Turn 2 the other night, sick and pretty predictable to be honest.

Last night I watched Dog Soldiers, horror film with a comic touch, enjoyed it and thought Sean Pertwee was particularly good.

Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo...

one of the funniest movies ive ever seen

We watched a couple of films. One called Gone Baby Gone about the abduction of a young child and the ongoing investigation. Pretty good film with Morgan Freeman in it - 6.5/10

Also watched No Country for Old Men which was quite good, but the ending just seemed a bit rushed and sudden - 6/10

Bollywood film 'Kidnap'. Quite a good one:)!

My rating:

Eight out of ten:19:!!!

watched Body of Lies today... not bad.. but not that good either... Leonardo Dicaprio could have done better...

Saw the remake of awesome old Bollywood film 'Karz', which is now done by Himesh Reshammiyya. Apart from his own work nothing else was particular or special about it. Old one was obviously better, and whoever has seen that would be quite disappointed by it. But however, I still enjoyed it very much:19:! The music is fantastic by the man himself:13:!!!

My rating:

Five out of ten:)!!!

On TV: Lucky Number Sleven - had not seen it before, good movie. Intend to see Bond at the cinema next week.

Stop being so silly - plenty of incidents of terrorism not involving muslims in India

Bollywood just release loads of garbage, no imagination when it comes to scripts hence the reason we see plenty of copies of western/far east asian movies

Making the terrorist characters muslim is not realism, its just garbage BUT anyhow thats what to expect from an industry which churns out junk 99% of the time

Dark Knight the last movie i watched

Last movie i watched on TV was Independence Day, was on about a week ago

Last bollywood movie i watched was Jodha Akbar - the next bollywood movie i will watch is Kaun Bola Hai (only cos it was shot in Newcastle)
