It's a TV movie. But a very high quality one. A peek into the disturbing mind of a psychopath. It aired in 1986 when the real Bundy was on death row. He reportedly didn't watch it.

Another high quality TV movie was To Catch A Killer about the pedophile and murderer John Wayne Gacy. The real Gacy was really impressed. The actor portraying him in the film was creeped out.

Hmmmm. I'm not a big fan of TV movies. Something about them makes me get all lethargic.

This is probably the best TV movie I have seen..based on a true story.

It's better than the dreck released in cinemas most of the time. Excellently directed, acted and written. Think of it as a two-part miniseries.

Yes. This is on my watch list. Andrei Chikatilo was another evil nutcase.

Truly, some of the stuff these maniacs like Bundy, Dahmer, Gacy and Ramirez pulled makes you wonder whether watching horror movies and gore flicks is actually more comforting than facing the reality of these monsters.

This. This. This has always been the scarier thing for me. The realisation that we can be bigger monsters than any that we can conjure up in our imagination. As a child, unsolved mysteries episodes were the things keeping me up at night, not horror films.

Watched Jurassic World a week back .... best movie evaaaaaa ! :D

Just sad that had to break my will to watch it in CAM print , will watch it again when the pirates come out with the blu-ray rip .

Watched Dr. Strangelove..one of Stanley Kubricks best..black comedy with a great performance by Peter Sellers..

Gentlemen..for heavens sake..please don't fight..this is the WAR room

Watched Inside out

What a movie, I loved it. Best of Pixar

10/10, I rarely give a 10.

Batman and Robin 1997 - 6/10 It was a cluster no doubt but still enjoyable for me given that I had watched it in my childhood.

Clooney was an awful batman but he couldn't have done much in that movie. Enjoyed the performances of Dick Grayson and Poison Ivvy.

Batman Begins - 8.5 Brilliant Reboot by Nolan after the schumacher "error" :)) with darkness and realism being major themes. I'd have liked to have seen Rah's al ghul be given more screen time but loved how the focul point had been the development of Bruce Wayne as a character and his origin.

12 monkeys 8/10 - excellent movie about time travelling with a good ending, amazing acting by pitt and Willis.

Unbreakable 7/10 - surprisingly good movie, thought it would be another M. night shyamalan flop

Another flop?

The Sixth Sense is a classic; Signs and The Village are both pretty good; Unbreakable is better than good.

Four consecutive films of genuine quality, thoughtfulness and originality - that's a commendable contribution - it's more recently where he went way off the boil!

Was in the mood to laugh so had a stand up comedy rewatching marathon

Lewis Black - Black on Broadway
Dylan Moran - Like Totally
Bill Bailey - Dandellion Mind
Jimmy Car Live

Wow...I so want to see this movie! Tom Cruise did that airplane stunt scene himself also the water scene where he held his breadth for 6 mins under water -- no CGI.

Fan of the original animated series by any chance? :))

The stuff between Bruce and Dianna was hilarious, was watching some clips on youtube a few days ago. I wish they got together and lived happily ever after :(

Check these out:

:)))

In the animated series Bats and Dianna had amazing chemistry, am surprised there is no comic from DC which implies a love interest between the two or some kind of relationship which is beyond friendship

Really excited for the adaptation of the Little Prince into an animated movie and of Macbeth into a period film with some big names. Could be the best Shakespeare adaption yet.

Haha actually its not been long since i developed an interest in batman and justice league. As a kid , for some unknown reasons, i always used to think Batman is boring without even actually watching it. But now i believe its the greatest superhero that has ever been created. Has it something to do with the saying "Superman (and Likewise) are for kids , batman is for men"? Lol
Just finished watching "the batman" series (2004 onwards i think; 5 seasons). Enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah the romantic angle between wonder woman and batman is nice but batman has many a times repeated that he doesn't have time for it. Also he seems to have catwoman and couple of other chicks in his romantic life as well. Seems villains aren't the only ones that fall in front of him. :batman: because well, he's the batman :batman: :)))

Hey have you seen batman's encounter with count dracula? That was one amazing concept and i found it to be one of his greatest battles. Must check it out if already haven't.

Its the best i have seen, much better than the one were Robin goes rogue or Superman supposedly kills 'batman'.

Yes. It was released in 2005 i think. Absolutely beastly stuff. Many of the scenes in it were epic really eg. Dracula turning joker into Vampire joker, dracula staying alive for a couple of extra moments due to batman's shadow (what a scene that was *claps*) etc.

There is a trailer of batman vs terminator on youtube where batman takes on skynet by himself . there is a mention of john conner too. Cant find the movie though if there ever was one. That looked great as well.

If The Village had been an unknown indie director's debut it would have been lauded as one of the best films of the Noughties.

Most people have an anti-Shyamalan outlook which they don't feel they have to rationalise.

October sky was the last movie that I have watched. Its really an inspiring movie and I think every teenager should see this movie.( oh I wish I could be a teenager again ;-) )

Totally agree plus Dracula actually thinks of Batman as someone who will take his legacy forward which is weird and amazing.

I think that's a Fan made video.

To be honest about Batman i hated the cartoon in school but after seeing Batman begins i thought of giving the entire(animated) series a try and i must say i got completely into it with its amazing writing and characters plus Batman movies(animated) are only ones which are worth it.

Lets be cops
9.0/10 - Hilarious film :))).

The movie received horrible critics but it made over 130 million dollars through word of mouth. This movie was not meant to be serious, so why take it seriously ? It is a must watch.

Thats exactly how it happened for me as well.
Never really liked batman as a kid, thought what can a guy without superpowers have to offer. Hardly ever watched an episode or two on cartoon channels. I was a huge fan of spiderman. But Nolan's trilogy changed it for me.

Nice, amazing how film directors can make or break a superhero ,lucky for Daredevil they have brought a TV series now if not it was all but gone for non comic book readers.

lol.

Snoozefest. Horrible direction. Poor editing. Lack of character development.

Is it another one of those 'let's make a big budget movie and forget the essentials of a good movie and bank on the big budget production?'

That hold true for Bollywood as well atleast 98% of the times

Silent House

Quite atmospheric & creepy but a poor ending lets it down.

He certainly is, how can anyone route for a perfect superhero that wins 99% of the time :)) (barring the two devastating beatings he took from Bats). Supes is the first gay superhero in comic history, well high profile one anyway and a symbol of hope for homosexuals that's his legacy :yk Which one was the 2004 series? the 90's Batman animated series was very, consistently ranked in the top 3 greatest animations ever made and I tend to agree. My favourite episode is the 3rd one of season one, I think when Scarecrow first makes an appearance. Love the line Bats uses in that episode "I am Vengeance, I am the Night, I am Batman" and finally overcomes his fear; Scarecrow had gotten into his head and awoken his fear which was his father looking at him with disgust and being ashamed of what he's done to the Wayne name.

He loves his women and pie but never commits to a relationship, he's had high profile ones with Catwoman and Talia-Al-Ghul though (even had a kid with her I think).

I've been told to avoid that :)) Batman v Dracula is an animated movie isn't it? am going to check it out at some point, finished watching the dark knight returns and Red Hood though both were Brilliant. Another great animated series which came out not so long ago was the Young Justice League, was cancelled though after 2 seasons  too edgy for Superman fans :)))

Was a decent timepass. Plot sucked to some extent.
Saqs It wasn't really a big budget movie. A few scenes shot in California with 3 actors and the rest was shot in one house in Karachi. Mahira's clothes seemed expensive but I'm sure those were probably given by Elan as a marketing gimmick and hence, they didn't end up spending too much on this.

The difference between this movie and bollywood movies was basically that bollywood movies can take a simple (or a non-existent) story and still make a good movie by adding some decent comedy and various characters. This move lacked both. The editing is so poor that it seems as though a bunch of random stuff is happening and the movie gets really boring in the middle because basically it has 3 characters and none of these are developed properly.

Yes, yes, yes! Great comedic movie. Loved it.

2004 series was named "the batman" first couple of seasons show a young bruce wayne who has been batman for a couple of years only. He isn't at the peak of his powers and isnt as dominant against his opponents which include joker, clayface, penguin etc. Then he grows with each season involving Robin (takes him as a foster son) and batgirl (who is the daughter of gorden) along the way. In the 4th season i think , it shows batman's first encounter with superman where batman saves him from metallo who has kryponite in his possession. In another episode superman comes under the possession of poison ivy and goes crazy and batman basically defeats him and then frees him from the influence.
The 4th season is where there is a mention of justice league and by the end of 5th season Justice league becomes functional as a unit.

Yes batman vs dracula is animated . great encounter. Must watch.

Hyena - A wannabe "Bad Lieutenant" from Britain. Except for its Meh ending, liked the overall grittiness and bleak nature that the director tried to project.

Its just not the same unless you watch it on the big screen.

Thats what people have been telling me. I don't really goto the cinema anymore with all their silly laws plus an English movie in German is just not the same. I watched The Dark Knight on the big screen and didn't like it but have rewatched it 15 times at home.

Coolie no 1.one good thing with govinda's comedy movies is no matter how many times you match them, you will never get bored.

I have a deep crush over Kriti Sanon, A massive one, She is perfect. So Gonna watch heropanti 3rd time :D

Basically the story is, someone is killing women violently in 1983. A woman is murdered in front of her child and the lead investigator promises to catch the killer who is revealed to be a little man. The little man escapes but is then found dead or is he? 17 years later, the killings begin again. Is it the same guy or is a copycat on the loose?

On the face of it, this looks like a winner. Argento is an absolute ATG in Horror cinema. His run from late 70s to early 90s was paralleled only by John Carpenter. You got a brilliant, pumped-up score by Goblin who ALWAYS deliver. Then you got freakin' MAX VON SYDOW who is no stranger to horror fans and cinephiles alike. Argento was going through a lean phase after Trauma having made a couple of mediocre films. This does arrest the slide IMO at least to an extent and shows us a brief glimpse of how awesome Argento at his best truly is.

The movie has a fantastic first 30 minutes and the pace doesn't drop till the end. It's also BRUTAL. People aren't killed. They are massacred. Where it falls apart is the identity of the killer. It opens a bunch of plotholes. Then again, there is the terrible acting/dubbing apart from the legendary Max Von Sydow who brings a lot of dignity and grace to his retired insomniac chief inspector.

On the whole, even an average Argento is better than good stuff by many other directors. It is a very slick and stylish production which helps to mask some of the obvious shortcomings of the film. Do watch it if you like murder mysteries.

7/10

Bajrangi Bhaijaan 11/10

The best movie of the year so far, the last time I cried like this was in 'Kuch Kuch hota hain' when Bhai loses Kajol to Shahrukh :asif
A must watch, if you watched a stupid movie like P.K and wasted your time, you won't be disappointed after watching Bhaijaan's movie, this is the first movie where Bhai got beaten very badly. Watch it with your little cousins, was an enjoyable experience.

Dawn of the Dead.Saw it only for 30-40 minutes.Found it decent. Is it worth a full watch leatherface58 ?

There is a 1978 original and 2004 original. Both are very good for different reasons.

2004 is more action-oriented, has fast zombies and better acting. Direction by Zack Snyder (300, Man of Steel).

1978 is by the grandfather of zombie genre, George A. Romero and is widely considered his best film. It's more satirical, brutal, has the usual slow zombies and focuses more on the characters than the 2004 one.

Both are recommended so whichever you saw, do finish it. :19:

ghosthouse0.jpg

4.5/10

If I am watching an Italian B Horror movie, I want copious amount of violence in it. Sure there can be the terrible dubbing, bad writing and laughable over(AND under)acting. but the violence compensates for it. If there is suspense, then even better. But Ghosthouse fails in that regard. It starts off well with a suspenseful and violent scene but then descends into a cookie cutter and very silly film and it's surprisingly tame. It's even more disappointing when you realize the director is Umberto Lenzi who made his name actually killing animals in his deranged, lunatic flicks like Cannibal Ferox.

I have not seen a movie which violates it's internal logic more than this movie. There are pointless characters like a hitchhiker who acts as cannon fodder and a murderous caretaker who is proven to be little more than a red herring for a (non-existent?) mystery.

AVOID THIS ONE. Even the presence of Lara Wendel doesn't save it.

Hadn't had Pacino shout at me for a while so rewatched Scarface and The Devil's Advocate.

The Matrix - 1 & 0/10
Sixth Sense - 6/10
District 9 - 9/10
Twelve Years A Slave - 12/10
21 Grams - 21/10
300 - 300/10
500 days of summer - 500/10 (Winnner)

Lol! This is post of the year!

2000 BC, 2046 and 2001 A space odyssey wins this.

Changeling 7.5/10
Excellent movie based on true story
Bhajrangi Bhaijaan 9.5/10

Heart touching movie emjoyed it last 6-7 mins gave goosebumps
Second hand Husband 6/10
Nice comedy by punjabi actors though it is in Urdu

horrible bosses 2 - 4/10, really boring, part one was good, part 2 was really boring

area 51 - 6/10, wasnt expecting anything from this film, kind off good for a low budget film, i did expect more from it especially at the end, generally very typicall horror/sci fi alien film, but for some reason i never felt i was bored watching- it drew me in.

Get Hard - 8/10, have no idea why this is this low in ratings, this film is typicall will ferrell- really stupid comedy parts and 1-2 parts which you think thats Will ferrell for you- where he goes into the mnes toilet with the other guy - really didnt think they would show that part.

Rage. Absolute rubbish.

Nicolas Cage looks completely wrong in his role as a former gangster who seeks revenge for the death of his daughter. 2/10
