Bajrangi Bhaijaan

A little mute girl from a Pakistan village gets lost on her return back from a trip to India. In Kurukshetra, she meets Pawan - a devout Hanuman Bakth - who is in the midst of a challenge posed by his lover's father. In trying to discover her parents, he develops an unshakable bond with the kid. He tries to get into Pakistan through a path righteous to his conscience and later, with a smart Pakistani news reporter for company and makes the search, a story that captures the imagination of the public in both countries.

One of the best from Salman Khan. Some very good scenes stitched together.
Nawazuddin does a brilliant cameo.

8/ 10

:))) :))) Haha you saw that? It got very popular here in Pindi when it originally came out. :))

Obviously :))) most of the scenes were shot in Azad Kashmir and Gujjar Khan and most of the talent is from there as well. That little nigga is a legend in our village :))). Doesn't matter what language, when it comes to south asian dramas Pakistan ones are the best. The sequel to that series was maye ni maye, revolved around the theme of love for your mother; that was just as good.

Straight Outta Compton - Enjoyed it. Probably the best hip-hop film to date. Obviously with Dre and Cube being producers they are portrayed as the martyrs and a lot of their misdemeanors are glossed over. Dre at that time was particularly wild and it has been established that he was abusive towards women. But now with him being corporate I am not surprised he isn't claiming that he used to be a gangster anymore and is shoving his past under the carpet. Overall though a good film. With the amount of money it has made I really hope we see a film on the East coast-West coast feud now with a big budget, big director and good actors.

Bajrangi Bhai Jan. Could have been a great movie if it wasn't for the typical Bollywood masala formula.
Baby
Was an unsuccessful attempt at copying the music and theme of the Bourne series and Mission Not Really That Impossible.

A very entertaining murder mystery. Bava culls a lot of suspense out of the movie which automatically makes him better than 95% of the horror filmmakers today.

The killer is predictable with the small cast though the reveal is sufficiently disturbing.

Wild Tales - 9/10

Collection of short stories, absolutely brilliant; can't recommend it enough. It's a black comedy with the major themes revolving around violence and revenge.

Need to give the gift a watch; shockingly has been well received by critics. Unheard of for a horror in this day and age although it is listed in the psychological genre as well

Yeah. Jason Bateman in a dramatic role. Joel Edgerton showing his directorial skill. I am really interested in watching it but unfortunately don't get the time.

Definitely one of the years best foreign films, unique and highly entertaining.

Should have won the foreign academy award.

It took a while to nail a version with English subtitles but was definitely worth it :)) Hopefully there is a sequel. There must be some similar movies out there, trying to look for them.

Supremacy.

Based on true events about a white supremacist who ends up in the house of a black family and holds them ransom.

Good film, worth a watch 7/10.

Yeah, saw that. Was okay, nothing special barring a good performance by Danny Glover.

Straight Outta Compton

9/10

SPOILER ALERT

two beautiful, epic, touching scenes. The Tupac recording Hail Mary at death row records and Snoop Dogg Freestyling Aint nuthin but a G thang

Another interesting part about the movie was the depiction of Suge Knight. Ive heard, read plenty of rumors about how this guy can be so mean and dangerous. The guy was an absolute nut case! Definely shots fired by Dr Dre suggesting this guy had a big role in getting tupac and biggie murdered. The guy would do anything for his personal cause

Should have but didn't have time. Heard its a very good film.

Suge = Don King of hip hop labels. Excellent promoter but you would always second guess whether he had your best interests at heart.

I've been on one of those spree's a long while back, I might have been a bit depressed :))) use to eat Ice Cream and watch them. I've seen those movies pretty good, not given Rushmore a look though will have to check it out since it's entertaining.

You should give Midnight in Paris a go, I really enjoyed that a long while back.

I've not seen Notebook though, everyone seems to recommend it to me but I can't seem to get motivated to see it.

I have watched both these movies which you mentioned. The Notebook is certainly very good and it has a rating of 7.9 on imdb. Usually a romantic movie rated above 7 on imdb is very good. Midnight in Paris has its own appeal.
Among recent ones About Time and Fault in our stars are good ones.
Few others which i enjoyed very much are A walk to remember, 10 things i hate about you, Big Fish, Edward scissorhands, The Graduate, the princess bride.Ferris Buellers day off, Shakespeare in love, The breakfast club

Obviously, you might not enjoy all of these but i am most certain that barring one or two you would enjoy the rest.

Cheers Buddy, I've seen Edward Scissorhands before one of my all time favourite movies; watched it when I was a kid. Might give The Graduate a go out of that list

Wasn't it California Love? am not sure

Wasn't it California Love? am not sure

It was both. Started off with Hail Mary and Dre comes in and hits California Love.

Although im a bit confused, i thought hail mary was a track that was made after Tupac died. I thought they used his voice on a track later on. Im surprised at how comes Tupac never got around making a video for Hail Mary in his lifetime!

I actually have most of their songs on my phone, I'm a fan of hip hop too, I knew the rivalry and controversies but didn't know many things that went behind the scene. No typical bad acting you see in black gangster movies. I thought Dre and Ice cube would have make themselves look like gang bangers in the movie when they weren't really like that, but they didn't do that, the movie is genuine good film. After the movie, I wanted to become gangster rapper, blasted Straight Outta Compton the next few day while driving my Dad's Toyota Corolla while taking my mom for grocery shopping. Im giving this movie a 10/10

I finally got around watching straight outta compton, I really enjoyed it! was surprised by the performances and how each character was depicted so accurately. The performance of the manager was great to and his addition was vital in providing some great comedy moments :)) Am such a huge fan of Easy E, that was guy was a Legend LOL The only issue I have with the movie is the length, felt it was too long but they never really wasted any screen time if am honest but I was a bit hungry and wanted the movie to end; was surprised that I was able to keep interest for such a lengthy period. Anyway these guys were pioneers of gangster rap and to this day there are always going to be two sides to the coin in favour and against, both make some valid points but I think it's important to be able to speak freely. Hip Hop is not just about spitting barz there's a method to art, it's basically like poetry when done the correct way but that art is long dead. There's a kid that has been around for a while called the astronomical kid, he's so good for his age and reminds me of Biggie. Has more talent in his index finger then most so called hip hop artists today.

Anyway I'd give the movie an 8.5/10. It was great, I doubt it will win any awards at the Academy though CUZ THEY BLACK :)) #PUCKthePoLice #POPO #PIGS #SCREW_WHITE_SUPREMACY #BLACK POWER

I found him pretty hilarious :))) Not going to argue with the way he was depicted, the guy is mentally handicapped. Isn't he going to prison or are they still faking his illness? the guy deserves the worst possible life for all the people he has murdered. He was such a Hitler, am still surprised Dre was able to get away from him.

He was on another level such a shame to see him go, if that was his prime imagine what he'd have developed into. Leading up to his death he was in the studio 24/7; there's quiet a bit of posthumous material out there.

I think Dre made it clear that him leaving Suge meant Suge gets all the money anyways. I think Suge would have killed Dre even if 1% of the money went with Dre.

Tupac wanted to leave Death Row records because he was big enough to make money without Death Row, just the way Dre did. Suge steps in

Pac was literally in the studio 24/7 according to a lot of people that worked with him.

Straight outta Compton.

Loved it. What a trip down memory lane. Loved the references to Pac, Snoop, and at the end Bone Thugz. And especially Friday the movie.

Ice Cube's son looks more like Ice Cube than Ice Cube.

Watching this just made me realize how amazing it would be if we had a film on Pac like this. I hope somebody like Spike Lee takes up a project like that. Would be amazing.

Not yet, may not watch it. IMDB gave it a 9.6/10. It is actually running in 2 theaters in my city. Usually Jeyam Ravi's movies are restricted to one. I see it is made by his brother, I wonder what movie did he copy this time ? :srt

I liked the movie so much that few days later I tricked my 6 year old cousin, took him to show Antman, clearly knowing it was sold out and made him watch Straight Outta Compton :akhtar. He had to learn why black people songs have swear words in them. After all their gangster rap is reflection of their reality :icecube. Now he is humming Eazy E's Real M*tha F**ing G's and the song wasn't even in the movie :murali. I think he is gone full black now.

Don't think Suge Knight is stupid enough to make guys shoot Tupac while he was in the car in middle of the street. I truly believe that Tupac would have known about Suge's plan sooner or later and would have beefed with him. I do firmly believe that he was the one who murdered Biggie. He even threatened Vanilla Ice to sign a contract by dangling him from top of the building. Cannot believe all the money Dre had was in hands of Suge Knight. I watched a documentary where Tupac's mom says none of Tupac's things were his and they were under Suge's name. Suge is a psychopath.

However, it is not as good as Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocal (4th movie0

Brothers (2015)

I was simply amazed by the great direction and more importantly remarkable acting by the lead actors in akshay kumar, sidhart malhotra and jackie shroff! Sidhart is making great choices in his career and pulling off good performances one after the other.

Its a remake of hollywood movie warrior which is better than this movie but by bollywood standards this movie was awesome up untill the last 10 minutes of the movie. The end was realistic but very flat for me. I was waiting every minute of those last 10-12 minutes that something mindblowing would happen but nothing did.

I was sure the movie is an 8/10 untill i saw the end. But the end was so flat that i would give it a 6.5/10 out of disappointment.

Straight outta Compton 5/10 stupid film about one of the worst music genres: rap

Goodfellas 7.5/10

Badlapur. Started off well but lost its way towards the end like the director suffered from ADD or some variation of it. Dhavans acting was superb though.

Legend 7/10 I guess it was refreshing for a gangster movie and you'd expect that with it being a biopic on the Kray twins, it was decent but not compelling enough for me. The highlight of the movie were easily the superb performances by Tom Hardy as the Kray Twins, majority of the best bits surrounded the demented Ronald Kray; hilarious guy :))

Black Mass looks great, wouldn't be surprised to see oscars down the way. The Assassin's creed movie should be good too since it has the same names as Macbeth.

I'm also pretty excited for Spectre. Cleopatra

The Visit 7/10

Dark, jumpy & funny all in one. Defo worth a watch..Shayamalan's best movie in years.

Just watched the movie "The Shawshank Redemption". Been really really really impressed by it, it completely justified its IMDb top rank - in my opinion. Sadly the movie also emulates the current situation in Pakistan a bit, but also shows that "Where there's a will, there's a way".

Garage sale Mystery – All that glitter

Jennifer Shannon (Lori Loughlin) has a gift for finding rare treasures hidden in garage sales that she can resell at her consignment store, Rags to Riches. But her keen eye for finding valuables also gets her involved in the criminal investigations that happen at the very second-hand sales she frequents. When Jennifer's friend and self-storage facility owner Martin (Michael Kopsa) turns up murdered-just hours after auctioning off an abandoned storage unit full of unique items to Jennifer-she is immediately pulled on the case as a key eyewitness. Working with Detective Lynwood (Kevin O'Grady), Jennifer helps single out a disgruntled customer as the prime suspect, while she and her business partner, Danielle (Strange), sift through boxes from the auction. As her husband Jason (Bacic) worries about her safety, Jennifer starts to get over her head when there is a break-in at her store, and a run-in with Martin's angry wife. Then, Jennifer and Danielle discover their new merchandise
