Dead Snow is another good norwegian horror comedy. Absolute mayhem in the last half hour and an ending which is darkly humorous.

Taken 2... Just saw first 20~30 seconds. At Janazah (Muslim Burial) some Albanian Mafia were burying their dead ones and swearing vengeance to 55 y/o Amreekan hero who had killed them all, and I was like Ok... W*T*F.
Awful crap!

Space cat.. You seen any good foreign movies lately? Need some recommendations.
What were you expecting? A romantic comedy or something.
Headhunters
Been wanting to watch this for a while, a norweigan thriller about a headhunter/thief whos extravagant life changes dramatically when he decides to steal a rare and very valuable painting
Entertaining, slick and full of violence, this was a good watch however the storyline is more than a little unbelievable and absurd
7/10
I tell you some people are too sensitive. It's a dumb action movie and nothing else. Not trying to make a political statement at all.
Watch Troll Hunter- another Norwegian gem.
Not really bro, I haven't had the chance to watch many movies.
Finally got round to watching The Prestige.
First thing I have to get off my chest is that the music was nowhere near as strong as usual with Nolan, so that was a disappointment. I can't recall one standout track, let alone the usual three or four.
And the ending asks a little too much of the audience. I enjoyed the dualism and doppelganger ideas because they were philosophically relevant, but by the time all of the supernatural extras had been dealt I was exhausted.
Nolan's storyline is at odds with his themes; the film unfolds like the three stages of a magic trick it introduces (the pledge, the turn and the prestige), a beautifully analogous narrative structure indeed - but stage magic relies on the willing suspension of disbelief of the audience, and my own suspension of disbelief was slightly unwilling during the credits.
Still, an undeniably strong production of high quality actors, and an ambitious script of jealousy, paranoia, obsession, duplicity, wizardry and metaphysical dilemma that I predict will age well. As in Memento, the quirkiness, bitterness, and will for catharsis in human nature seems Nolan's key psychological concern. Jackman and Bale meanwhile competently portray the blurring of good and evil: I was unsure of whom to boo and whom to cheer.
Four stars out of five.
lol same with my case I was also unsure of it..finally after watching it I chose bale and watched it again.
I lean towards Bale as well, he seems like a daft lager lad who makes mistakes but always has something up his sleeve (ahem), he is clearly the superior magician. Angier meanwhile seems a clever but desperate and nasty man. But I need to watch it again.
Good point I read, their rivalry is like Mozart (the flawed genius) and Salieri (the envious, cunning mediocrity) in Amadeus. Great film if you haven't seen it.
Angier story is more about revenge and nurture rather than nature.
Anyone here seen the hindi movie "Oh My God"? Pretty bold for a hindi movie and a satire on orgaized religion
Sinister: It was more disturbing than scary
Table no 21.
Really good hindhi movie. It has touched upon a serious issue that prevails at most universities in the world not just in India but also in Pakistan. "Ragging is not a joke, but a crime." I have been ragged by my seniors during my freshmen years and it was no fun at all. 18-19 years boys entering into universities could take certain things personally to their hearts. Could easily be mentally screwed. Some students did suicide in real life because of the humiliation and constant ragging up.
Different bollywood stuff. 8/10. Some food for thought.
PS: This practice has been banned at some of Pakistani universities which is a good thing. If anyone gets caught doing it, he or she is going to pay monetary fine for it.
Lawnmower scene was class.

saw taken on star movies today..liam nesson is a legend..10/10.
How does it make for family viewing? Please let me know.
If that family is used to watching Hollywood or Emraan Hashmi stuff, then they can bear a song shot in a bikni and a deep making out scene that lasted only for 30 seconds. The rest of the film is devoid of such stuff. However, if that family is a typical desi family with a chip on their shoulder, they should stay away from it.
..... The problem here is not about a couple being together in their bedroom, because you realize it immediately and can skip it with a hint being obviously there.
Problem arises when words such as 'condom' are used repeatedly. Some films have a story line which is bound to contain such scenes and references and that is what I avoid. Sometimes, females in the film not covering themselves throughout the film also causes problems. Occasionally, such contents being there for a few minutes is okay since you can skip it but not the entire film or it being basically the theme/topic of a film.
Lawnmower scene was class.
What a wonderfully bold and informative post! Two things,....
1. We don´t watch Hollywood films.
2. the last Emraan Hashmi that I watched was some 11 months ago......
Here´s what I posted some time back.....

So yeah, can skip the scenes that you have mentioned. But, a film without any big star-cast will only find a lone viewer in me from my family. Thanks anyway
.
Saw Tarantino's Inglorious today. Watched it when it came out but this is the first time I've seen it since. Got to say I thought it was bloody brilliant.
If anyone's up for a wider discussion on this let me know. Lots of aesthetic, moral and historical contexts to get to grips with.
I think QT believes this is his best film to date. Although he probably believes that about every film he does.
Loved the ending of it though. QT basically getting Brad Pitt to say out aloud that he thinks he's just made another masterpiece lol the nerve.
I thought the scene at the dinner table and at the pub was quite amazing.
It also lacked the more obvious QT fingerprints which can be a good or thing or not. In this case it was a good thing. A more subtle touch.
^ I have seen all of them except before sunset
Watched Forrest Gump with my mum, and we never liked it as much as everyone else.
The storytelling through aesthetics and colours, the quality of the script and acting (Christoph Waltz in particular), and the manner in which all of these fed the narrative left me hugely impressed.
The French country cottage and underground pub scenes have been the most lauded, but my personal favourite was Waltz at dinner with the Jewish girl he thinks he knows, choosing to order strudel and cream and making a point of devouring it. Absolutely terrifying! Also thought the final scene however audacious was both satisfying and justified.
Earlier in his career Tarantino had assistance with the scriptwriting, and also had his own image heightened by towering performances from the likes of Keitel, Travolta and Jackson, but through Inglorious he becomes for me a true auteur for the first time. Granted, it's difficult to compare Inglorious itself to Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction because it is so different to them, but from a certain point of view it is his best film.
Then again, my opinion could prove to be unstable: planning to watch Kill Bill Parts I and II today either side of a gym visit. Got the films in a boxset for Christmas and never seen them.
Seven Psychopaths-8/10
Hilarious, unpredictable, violent. Sam Rockwell gives another excellent performance....and is overlooked as usual by the Oscars.
My Django review......
Negatives
-Tarintino's use of the N word
Killing Them Softly - 7/10. A movie with really no plot. But amazingly it held my attention thanks to the great dialogues. Brad Pitt did a great job.
Zero Dark Thirty - 8/10. A well made film even though it really exaggerated Pakistan. But the story and acting were on point.
Django Unchained - 9/10. Wow, what an amazing film. QT is one of the greatest directors of today and he shows it again. Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leo DiCaprio all excelled in their roles. Waltz and Leo were phenomenal. Amazing story, action, music etc. Everything about the movie was awesome.
Seven Psychopaths- 8.5/10. Another well made film from the director of In Bruges. It's a great comedy film that makes sense and has a great story. The cast was great. Colin, Rockwell, Walken and Harrelson stood out in their roles.
