Bangladesh whom are ranked the worst test team have been very impressive in tests since 2012. This 3rd test currently is their 15th since 2012 and they have only lost 1 by an innnings, won 3 and drawn 4 and this final test looks like another win/draw. Yeah its not outstanding obviously but by their standards it shows a lot of progress considering the dreadful decade of 00s in tests where they mostly lost by a large innings even at home.

They apparently have test series against Pakistan, India, South Africa and Australia so a massive test awaits for not just for team but for players. This is the year which should clarify whether Bangladesh are still a minnow or not and whether Shakib is truly world class who recently regained the world number 1 all-rounder position in Test Cricket and way ahead now.

Sorry to say but we were not VERY GOOD in tests. We have been simply ordinary and managing draws on flat decks and winning against a 10th ranked team is not a reason to boast. We are still minnows in tests although i think we are better in the shorter formats of the game.

Two good test fast bowlers and and two good batsmen in the middle order. Bangladesh can be competitive.

I didn't say we were 'very good'. I stated by Bangladesh 'standards' we have shown a lot of progression since 2012 compared to that dreadful decade of 00s where we mostly lost by an innings and inside 3-4 days. Please don't put words into my mouth. Obviously we are still a pretty weak test team but signs are positive. Bangladesh back in the decade of 00s couldn't even draw on the flattest of pitches but now they at least can.
