The whole current indian batting lineup except pandya who has overachieved :inti

Flintoff. Had real pace but usually bowled too short and didn’t get the nicks. Only three fivefers tells a story.

Stokes. Should be hitting more centuries by now.

Root. Conversion rate slumped when he became skipper.

Shahid Afridi - although very popular as a personality, he didn't do justice to his talent on the field. Could've been an atg but the fame done him in

Wasim Akram - should have picked up more wickets especially in tests. Diabetes didnt help his cause.

Waqar - his back injury caused the world to lose potentially the best fast of all time.

Inzimam - didnt do justice to his talent. Weight issues, running between the wickets etc. Even Imran khan said Inzi under achieved.

Damien martyn - retired too early

Shane bond - due to injuries

Flintoff - retired too early, didnt make full use of his bowling talent.

Ashraful - lost his marbles, became corrupt

Umar akmal - lack of cricketing brain

Vinod Kambli - lack of cricketing brain

Ajit Agarkar - always had a soft spot for this guy. Thought he was more talented than what he achieved. For me, he is among the top 3 Indian pace bowlers ever in ODI cricket.

Stuart Mcgill - thanks to Shane warne.

Mohammad Sami - As once famously penned by Slog, even IK couldn't save him when he came out of cricketing hibernation to help Sami revive his career :)) :))

Batsmen:-
Alec Stewart
Damien Martyn
Virender Sehwag(ODIs)
Kevin Pietersen
AB de Villiers

Bowlers:-
Shane Bond
Shoaib Akhtar
Mohammad Asif

All-rounders:-
Andrew Flintoff(with the bowl)
Shahid Afridi(with the bat)

That's 10 for you those I have watched.

Marcus trescothick / brad hodge
Andrew Flintoff
Shane bond / Sidebottom
Macgill/ hogg

For cricketers who have played for 25+ tests or 75+ ODIs, I don't think underachievement can be associated with them. They had ample time to achieve and wotever they didn't achieve would be down to lack of capability.

Underachievers would be the ones who didn't get ample time to prove it because of selection, injury or anything that cut short their careers.

Few I can think of -
Mohammad Asif
Shane Bond
Brad Hodge
Sunil Joshi
Narendra Hirwani
Azhar Mahmood in tests

Saeed Anwar, there was a time he was on par with Tendulkar. He should have played for much longer, loss of his daughter really affected his career otherwise he was an ATG batsman, overly underachieved. There hasn't been a better looking batsmen since his departure.
