This is a great pitch, India will need 310-320 to defend with the bowling attack they have.
Whatever the par score is, India needs to score 30 runs extra just to accommodate our trundlers.

280 is the par here
Very unlikely India have the firepower to score 100 in the last 10 against Steyn and Morkel.
Going at less than 5 an over on this pitch is criminal.
Nothing in it at all, the average score here is 280, with the attack India have that means you'll need 310+.

We nearly defended 270 against a much stronger Aus batting line up.SA have only 6 batsmen today so 280 should be more than competitive for Indian attack
Dhawan has surprised me big time. I thought his inning against Pak was a fluke.
To be fair, there is a fantastic ODI going on.
I gave up on India v South Africa when I realised that it was just a horrible batfest on a terrible pitch, but Afghanistan v Sri Lanka is restoring my faith in ODI cricket.
232 plays 188-8 with 45 runs needed in 36 balls is a proper ODI.
Whereas 120-1 from 24 overs is just garbage as a spectacle.
For those of you still misguidedly watching the India match, have any of the 150 balls so far moved off the seam yet?

Not just that, no Maxwell or MarshIndia missing a Corey Anderson or Miller at No.7 or 8.

Warner -- Amla (Easily when a target like 270 +)
Finch -- De kock
Smith -- Du Plessis
Watson -- Devilliers (!)
Maxwell -- Miller
Marsh -- Duminy
Australia is superior, is it?

This is a road and neither side has really been able to assert dominance, you'd give SA the advantage as India have been going at a very slow pace on a belter. This is such a high quality match this.
Batting and fielding has been topclass...even bowling has been ..its just that batsman have negotiated it very well.
SA recently chased down 300 quite easily against Aus in Zim.SA are extremely poor chasers . Our bowling may negate that , but Aus has lot more firepower in their batting
Stop your garbage man. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
Or if you really want to cry, be consistent and do this in all non-India matches too.

Quality wise the SA side is better, in terms of scoring runs quickly Aus > SA.I do agree that Faulkner provides the x-factor to the Aussie line up but both line ups are pretty much equals

In what way is it anti-Indian to point out that the Australian curator has produced a terrible pitch at the MCG which is flat, boring and delivering a flat, boring spectacle?
It is killing ODI cricket to have these terrible batfests.
Quality wise the SA side is better, in terms of scoring runs quickly Aus > SA.
But still, you will always find some rondus infesting the match thread, trying their hardest to prove that the match is garbage.
Our ceiling is now 250
I'll put it this way - on wickets which are assist bowlers, the SA batsmen will outscore Aus 9 out of 10 times on flat wickets Australias hacks and bits and pieces cricketers would outscore them 7 out of 10 times.Aus play to win and win, their attitude is unmatched in cricket
