I want everyone in the dressing room happy. Look at Argentina when they had that dance, led by Martinez, after they won the WC. That's what I want to see from Ramsdale if we win the league this season.
This is why I'm glad we don't have Richarlson even though he's a good forward. He would be having fights with the likes of Martinelli and Ramsdale every week.
Stick to a strong XI and decent back ups on the bench. It's a good formula to have for unity.
In response to your question. Grealish is a back up left wing forward. Mahrez isn't an automatic starter nor a backup. He's somewhere in between.
Kanu and Wiltord were backups for Henry and Bergkamp.
Edu is an invincible and has pulled out what might be the transfer of 2023 after the acquistion of Trossard. He deserves more respect.
Happy dressing room? I never even brought up the point about the dressing room.
Richarlson ? No one has even mentioned him, so I don't even know why uve brought that up randomly.
Strong X1 and decent back ups Is proof of team unity? Based on what? Uve just expressed ur personal opinion here.
My main point in regards to grealish / mahrez was that city have like for like quality players in midfield / attack, the quality level doesn't drop.
Look at city's team vs spurs tonight.
Manchester City XI: Ederson, Lewis, Ake, Stones, Akanji, Gundogan, Rodri, Grealish, Alvarez, Haaland, Mahrez.
Subs: Ortega, Laporte, Walker, Phillips, Dias, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Silva, Foden
City have gundogan, rodri, grealish, mahrez, KDB, silva, Foden who are all similar quality players, they don't have a set starting 11 and just "decent back ups"
Now that Arsenal have signed Trossard we are getting towards that sort of luxury
Partey, xhaka, oddegaard, ESR, martinelli, saka, Trossard
The like of Nelson, Vieira (unproven yet), lakonga, elneny are not same level. If we want to sustain longterm competition then you bring in players to rotate and healthy competition for places. City and Liverpool have proved that over last 5 years.
So what Edu is an invincible, so are other Arsenal players. He's in a different career now he's not a player, just because you were a decent players has nothing to do with how you are suppose to do your job as a DOF.
Where Edu has done well he deserves praise, and where he's done badly he deserves criticism.
It's same for all ex players OLE was a CL winner for united and was a mediocre manager, you think united fans weren't going to criticise some one when they did a bad job just because the won the Clun a trophy as a player. Life doesn't work like that in any shape of life.
Rameez Raja was a pakistan world cup winner, look at shambolic job he did with PCB. Should we all show Rameez respect because he was a member of a winning team years ago. You earn respect in the job you are doing now not living of past glories.
