For 15M a year, no pressure to win trophies. I'm sure ud call the owners vest owners in the world.

It will only get worse, looks like Rosicky might be made new director of football.

Amazing player, but will just be a glorified yes man for Arteta, this current mess will only get worse from here.

The fan base is to busy crying about injuries, refs and other rubbish to actually instead call the owners or the manager out.

I think 2 of these would have been as Bournemouth manager

As the record at Newcastle is 8 meetings, 4 wins to Howe, 1 draw and 3 wins to Arteta

Prior to Howe the 18 previous meetings resulted in 17 wins for Arsenal and just the one win for us

Though I wouldn't necessarily read a huge amount into it, since Howe and the takeover we've improved as a team so it was inevitable we wouldn't just be whipping boys

And I think there were a couple of games, especially when you beat us 2-0 at SJP season before last where Arteta really did a number on Howe, got the tactics spot on and we deservedly lost. Last season at the Emirates we got battered

I was fully aware some meetings would have been Bournemouth ones. But that was not specified in the question 😊. It asked about Howe.

I actually like how Newcastle play. Play according to the situation and opposition. Frustrating when you are playing against them but actually good tactics when you deep it.

I'm not nervous. We should win. Anything less and it's a cup upset let's be honest. Would be a disgrace.

Only way we lose this is if Arteta does one of his weird line ups like playing kiwior, Neto Jorginho etc. I wouldn't put it past him.

Whether Arsenal fans like it or not this is a must win game. Lose this and the daggers will get sharper.

On the contrary, it shows his self-confidence and conviction in his own words. He knew exactly how his words will be interpreted but he wanted to say what he felt.

The likes of Mourinho, Pep, Conte etc. have fallen into such “traps” many times as well and Arteta is cut from the same cloth. They are the bosses not the media.

Surely a Utd win cant be deemed as a cup Upset. You've seen our Performances against City and Liverpool, on any given day we can be a match for anyone.

And its not as if Arsenal are setting the world alight with their performances, from what I saw against Newcastle, I fancy Utds chances. 😁

Maybe your predictions of Multiple title wins for Arteta in the future will then insure, Arteta is cut from the same cloth as the likes of Jose or Pep.

Arteta is a man of great self-belief and stout character. It takes courage to start your managerial career by taking on one of the most difficult jobs in one of the most complicated periods in the club’s history.

Arteta could have started his managerial career at a small club with most expectations and build his way to the top, but he knows he belongs at the top and this is where he started.

He has also proved his detractors wrong. First they said he won’t survive for more than 12 months, then they said he won’t get Arsenal into the top 4, then they said he won’t make Arsenal into title challengers, now they are saying that he won’t win the league with Arsenal and has taken the team as forward as he can.

They will be proved wrong again.
 
The style of football is awful. No creativity. Hate seeing Partey at right back, Partey is Arsenal’s best midfielder right now. Without Partey in midfield, Odegaard in form and Saka playing, it seems Arsenal need all three of these things to properly attack.

2 seasons ago Arsenal played free flowing attacking football. Last season, he tightened up the defence, while bringing back the goals once after the defence settled, with Arsenal still having the highest goal difference . However this season it has just been a lot of anti football, time wasting, with very little creativity. Sure the defense looks mostly ok, but attacking it feels poor.

If Arteta doesn’t win the league or CL this year, think at the end of the season, Arsenal should see who else is out there. And if there’s a standout candidate, should seriously consider giving them the job. I don’t know if he actually should be sacked or not it’s a tough one, but it deserves some thought being given now. I do sympathise with unluckiness of injuries, however I’m not sure it’s that acceptable to play a brand of football this bad. And if he had no choice but to play like this, clearly this shows fault in the building of cover for the squad in the midfield and attacking options, with Merino, Jourginho, Havertz (not strengthening midfield) or adequate replacement for Martinelli.

Don't insult GG name by comparing Fraudeta-Pulis In same conversation.

Arsenal under GG didn't have a losers mentality like the current mentally weak squad.

You don't win a title at Anfield etc.. if you don't have a good manager or mentally tough footballers in dressing room

Of course GG was a genius but would often win 1-0 , adapt when needed.

His football wasnt like Wengers teams but he won things at a difficult time.

I just feel sorry for arsenal fans having to watch this lame style of football. It has to improve or the manager and club should start reducing ticket prices. I can't imagine liverpool ever playing like this, the manager would be gone quickly

I wouldn't call it a cup upset.

United as bad as they have been this season, are the Cup holders, just remember they have reached the last 2 FA cup finals. We can't even get past the 4th round since we won it.

Whilst we do have home advantage, and a good home league record vs united recently. On laws of averages, they are likely to get a decent result here at somepoint, they have beaten us in FA cup at home before.

Yes we should beat them, but won't be easy.

Nah, that's an insane level of spin, he's been made a laughing stock and it's not borne from confidence, rather he fumbled the answer

All he had to say was "the ball is different but it affects both teams equally", instead it sounds like he's attributing the result/performance partly to that

You can go back and see I've actually given Arteta credit, as an outside observer with no skin in the fight I think what he's done has been downplayed. Taking Arsenal from jokers to challenging deserves credit but he's entering a critical stage now, repeatedly finishing 2nd for a club like Arsenal isn't good enough.

You had sly digs towards Newcastle and talking about Isak staying with us shows a lack of ambition, well let me get a mini payback, if Arsenal fail to win the league or CL then sticking with Arteta shows a lack of ambition. That will be 5 trophyless seasons, ambitious clubs don't tolerate that
 
Arsenal have got past the FA cup 4th round once in last 7 seasons. So even though we have won it the most, the record in recent times is a shambles

The injuries excuse holds no substance, every club gets injuries. That's whole point of having a squad. This fan base wanted to cry and throw its dummy out when oddegard got injured. Yet reality is this guy has 2 assists since April. Since he's been back from injury he's been nothing more then a ghost.

As far as the squad building goes, even stevie wonder can see how badly the so called squad depth is.

Seems you like others are finally seeing reality. Same happened to MK7Z, IMMY69 and topspin, reality is this clueless manager ain't getting Arsenal over the line. Even Stoke City and Bolton wanderers wouldn't put up with current rubbish.

0-0 at home vs everton, 1-0 vs Ipswich, 0-2 Newcastle and now 0-0 at HT vs man united

I wouldn't be shocked if fans start walking out early again watching this current dross

Also this notion that there are no better options than fraudeta. 15M a year for not winning a trophy for 5 years.

This fan base deserves the reality check its gearing right now for accepting mediocrity and failure in 1st place

Embarrassing nearly an hour with an extra man.

utd deserved the win , showed a lot of fight and defensively sound . Their keeper looks world class . Ruben will take this club back to the top if he is given time and money.
