Mamoon , Sokratis,Luiz,Mustafi, and Ozil are all out of contract at the end of the season so they are definitely gone. Kolasinac,Lacazette, and Elneny will all have 1 year left on their contract in the summer so they will either be sold or we have them for 1 more summer.
Guendouzi and Torreira will be sold to raise funds.
So a lot of incoming should be happening.
Exactly. Which is why Arteta needs to be given 2-3 windows so that he can oversee the transition and create his own squad and his own identity.
This is a dysfunctional squad with no chemistry. He has spent enough time with these player to know what type of players should they invest in.
Sacking him now and bringing a new manager will not help because he will be starting at scratch with this group.
The next 2-3 windows are going to be the most important ones for the club in the premier league era, the club has truly hit rock-bottom now. A club of Arsenal’s stature and brand value cannot sink lower than this.
It is very important to have someone at the helm who also wants a long-term project. Arteta will leave the club one day but he will oversee this period of 4-5 years if he doesn’t get sacked because he genuinely loves the club.
People clamoring for Allegri or lamenting losing out on Mourinho need to realize that they are not interested in long-term projects. They would (would have) demand a £200m kitty right away and that is not something the club can afford at this point.
If Arsenal are smart with their transfer policy, they can become a top 4 team within 3-4 seasons and have the type of resurgence Liverpool had under Klopp.
