'Can the Men in Blue strike back, or will the Aussies tighten their grip on home soil?' - that’s the big question as the action shifts to the Adelaide Oval for the second ODI of this blockbuster series. After a forgettable outing in the opening game, India will be itching to find their rhythm again, especially with the top order yet to click and the middle order craving stability. The visitors will bank on the experience of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to lead the charge, while Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will look to convert their starts into something substantial. KL Rahul has been consistently scoring runs in recent times, while the all-round abilities of Axar Patel will be crucial as well. Their bowling, spearheaded by Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh, will need early breakthroughs to challenge an Australian lineup brimming with intent. Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar add good depth to the spin attack, but they will have to be at their absolute best to make an impact on this Adelaide wicket.

The hosts, meanwhile, will be buoyed by their disciplined bowling display and a composed chase in the first ODI. Even without Pat Cummins, their attack looks potent with Josh Hazlewood’s precision, Mitchell Starc's express pace, and Nathan Ellis’s clever variations, while the likes of Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, who scored a half-century, and Matthew Short provide the firepower up top. Also, Alex Carey and Adam Zampa are back in the mix for this game, which makes them an even stronger unit. With Adelaide known for its true surface and high-scoring potential, both teams will fancy their chances, but for India, it’s about bouncing back strong and keeping the series alive, while Australia aim to seal it with authority and continue their home dominance. Whose side are you on?

South Africa also lost a couple of tosses vs Pakistan. They will be hoping to win tosses vs India a month later.

After all the selfless drama, rohit is trying to be normal opener when his career is on the line.if he was captain, he used to say 30(20) is the modern approach.

Imagine leaving out Jaiswal with the kind of form he is in only to accommodate 38 year old who won't be in scheme of things for 2027 wc anyway. No other team is as ruthless as Aussies when it comes to team selection. Probably that's why they've won so many ICC events.

:kp

Basically these two bozos are going to use the entire series as practice matches and hurt team in the process.
Imagine the fans and pr team trying to troll people who called for the youngsters to let play.whats wrong with 40 year rohit vs 23 year old jaiswal. Same goes for kohli too.

What happened to Rohit Sharma and his "Selfless" approach? Sad to see the hitman struggling. 6 of 23. Pressure of retaining spot in the team. Pathetic

:klopp :kp

Only aussies can retire indian players.

Ended Ashwin's, Kohli and rohit's careers in BGT. Now ending kohli and rohit from all formats

Just leave india and migrate to Australia. That should be the focus of undeveloped countries.

All the talent is in Australia :klopp

Kohli should do himself a favour and retire gracefully without degrading his own legacy and eventually the ODI average. :kp

Dhoni talked a big talk about seniors being slow and pushed Sehwag, Gambhir and finally Sachin out. But he clung on to his place and it took us losing the WC semi in 2019 for him to finally trudge away. He's still embarrassing himself in the IPL 6 years later because there are stupid CSK fans to thalafy him.

That set the standard I think. People talk of Sachin hanging on, but it was only by his own high standards. Rohit-Kohli still hanging around is the MS paint effect

Sachin is one of the few who lost form but didnt lose it to such an extent.

He was still top 3 odi batters in 2011-2012. The difference was that he was no longer the undisputed no 1 due to age.

But it's a negligible difference. Not the case with kohli.

STAT: First time in his ODI career Virat Kohli has been dismissed for duck in successive innings
Clear signal for him to retired along with Rohit. Jaiswal, Abhishek are waiting .

Apposition will fear when Abhishek, jaiswal and gill will bat in top 3

:klopp :kp

Aus will go 2-0. It's inevitable. I raise my passport up and waive it around for the whole world to see.

Look at it 👺👺👺👺👺👺👺👺👺

Iyer is proving why he shouldn't be there in 27 wc.he is completely clueless on bouncy wickets/ outside sc .Jurel should be dragged in place of him.

India's batting not clicking... BCCI to blame here not the players.....

1) No practice matches before this tour, at least 2 practice matches should have played as per earlier tours.

2) nowdays no Indian player is playing county cricket where ball is swinging. Greats like Gavaskar, Tenkldulkar, Dravid, Ganguly n VVS played county cricket in their era
