Warner? That must be some fluke one like how Sehwag had against you guys.He was all at sea against Indian bowlers in the recent ODI series whenever there was swing.Even Kohli isnt that good.He batted well against Lankans but I would reserve my judgement till the England tour next year. Not sure about struggling, but he has been dismissed several times by nicking off against the new ball. I rate Rahane, Kohli, Warner (scored a brilliant 100 against us on a green top) and Smith higher tbh.
He totally deserves to take away all of Sachin's records on tests. However, he relies more on hand-eye coordination rather than technique and unfortunately such players dont last much as their reflexes slow down once they are in the wrong side of 30's.Of course that's a possibility, but I've been saying he'd get figured out for years...now he's scored 21 centuries and is only 20 away from Pointing at the age of 28
He's going to take all the records, including Sachin's. Best to accept it as a inevitability, if he had flaws they would have been worked out by now.
Getting concerned about Cook, he seems to have lost “it”.
Bunch of softies watching a soft code, that's not an atmosphere.Has nothing on this Tonga-England SF.
LMAO Tonga nearly won it in the last 5 mins. Extremely tense last minute.Bunch of softies watching a soft code, that's not an atmosphere.
Don't have time to check in, nor do I want to. Got no time for a poor imitation of rugby.LMAO Tonga nearly won it in the last 5 mins. Extremely tense last minute.
England survive 20-18.
You say that, but I've never quite seen the passion Tongan fans had for their team did tonight in any sport in NZ before.Don't have time to check in, nor do I want to. Got no time for a poor imitation of rugby.
Will tune in for the Wales v. AB game tomorrow morning, that's real footy.
They're minnows and are finally achieving something in a sport, expect a crowd considering the large Tongan population in NZ.You say that, but I've never quite seen the passion Tongan fans had for their team did tonight in any sport in NZ before.
They broke the Mt Smart Stadium attendance record tonight.
And they have celebrated these wins like Indian fans![]()
Really? That was an epic session, can’t remember the last time I watched something and felt so on the edge of my seat!
Would they become stars in India though? Indians like their stars to be pleasing on the eyeCan take some kids with otherworldly hand eye coordination and teach then "the smith technique"?

Played as we expectedCricket is a game of uncertainty but only thing certain in australia is that
Smith will score heavily
Khawaja wicket would be more prized than Smith a certain poster said on here .)
Khawaja is a great flat tracker. But seems his spin weakness is even worse than I thought to be embarrassed like that at the Gabba by a mediocre finger spinner.
Moeen ali is still considered mediocre even after so many match winning spellsKhawaja is a great flat tracker. But seems his spin weakness is even worse than I thought to be embarrassed like that at the Gabba by a mediocre finger spinner.

Best played of swing bowling of this generation is probably Rahane.
Mohammad AmirGood bowlers don't average 37.
The Aussies aren’t always the greatest team in the 4th innings. It has historically been one of their few weaker areas for some reason. England need to put a minimum 230 lead on the board to be firmly in the game in my view - yes they could defend 150 or so but that would be extremely difficult.
Australia are ahead by a nose. I think England will struggle to struggle the initiative back after Smith's epic. Nonetheless, a ton by Root and contributions by the surprisingly impressive Stoneman, Bairstow, Malan and Moeen can set the cat among the Australian pigeons again.
Stokes would probably have won this game for England.

Root needs to get a 75 with fifties from Stoneman and Bairstow; target of > 225 will be tricky if Smith falls cheaply. If ENG fold for 150 odd tomorrow then AUS will chase 120 in 25 overs with Warner blazing to a quick fire half century!
Dhoni, Sehwag and even Bumrah are examples.Would they become stars in India though? Indians like their stars to be pleasing on the eye![]()

Aussies are not the greatest when chasing a significant total these days. Succumb to pressure easily.I dunno. The wicket might go completely flat and AUS could walk it to 250-2.
Is it just me or was that catching / fielding / diving effort thing from Uzzy in the gully just then a bit pants?
The Australian quicks have been sub-par this morning, but I honestly cannot lay much blame at the doors of Stoneman and Malan for their dismissals to the spinner. Lyon has been breathtakingly good.
Graeme Swann talking absolute rubbish on commentary about how a batsman should approach the second innings, as a lower order slogger who had only way of playing he clearly has no idea what he is on about.
