Australia [389/4] beat India [338/9] by 51 runs in the 2nd ODI

India’s really messed up their transition to be honest.
 
Honestly speaking, Kohli’s eyes are telling a different story. Looks like a different man, the passion or lack of fight is clearly invisible

Lol these are always cheap convenient comments. If India was on top and Kohli was killing it; people would be praising him for being Captain Cool and not letting pressure of captaincy and match show on his face
 
Contrary to what many Indian fans think , Kohli made a big mistake dropping shreyas after just 6 games around 2017 in which he aveeaged around 40.
This guy is miles better than karthik and pant who both played the WC semi final.

But you can tell from recent history the guy looks, seems disinterested. Something isnt right with him. Maybe he is just burned out due to so much cricket in his life. Just an observation, I could be wrong
 
Kohli should take a break from cricket and be with his family. Clearly missing the killer instinct.
 
Good start from India despite 2 wickets, though target is stiff ground looks good for stroke play.

He played the most out of games I. This decade.
Smith barely played half of what Kohli did. Kohli is exhausted.

Smith is lucky h has the 2 year break.

This I completely agree with. He was unfairly dropped after SA tour.
 
Henriques looks unwell. How is this guy playing cricket looking like this during a pandemic?

Pakistani players are quite likeable but their fans. Dear god they are annoying. When will you understand it's Asia vs the rest. We are.not against you but you make it difficult.

Can we please have a Kohli special finally? Been too long. Looked like he was gonna have kangaroo for dinner last game but got cut short after some clean shots.

Do the Australia team bat like this just to annoy Pakistani fans and make our batting look even more pathetic in comparison?

Yes feel free to score nearly 400 runs in 50 overs , I have no problem with that , but how dare do they do it like this with every single one of the top 5 batsmen making big contributions of 60 plus ? That is total disrespect to Pakistani batting tradition and values.

I’ve been watching Pakistan cricket for many years and even on the flattest wicket and against the smallest minnow team with the most mediocre bowling , Pakistani batsmen always maintain the tradition even when we score 300+ , at least one out of the top 5 should be out for a duck , a couple of cheap dismissals (typically a run out) after batsmen getting a start and scoring 25-30 , and one hero to the rescue with a supporting act..to save the day.

The Australian batsmen have no mercy or compassion on bowlers at all.
 
Kohli hasn't scored an ODI ton in over an year. Ok, 8 of those months have been spent in lockdown, still it's rare for Kohli not to score an ODI ton for that many months.

So many factors.

Someone like Hafeez or Ahmed Shahzad would only play 10 games in Aus/Ind/ENG/NZ/SA.
Pakistan lack modern ODI cricketers. Only Babar and Shaheen are world class players.
 
Kohli is just a beast, best ODI player of the last decade. Till he is there nothing is impossible
 
Big wicket, not Kohli but this partnership was taking the game away from them

Obviously ability but conditions play a role as well. These are flat, fast decks but, that being said I dont believe even India or NZ could have scored 370+ here or anywhere in two consecutive ODIs let alone Pak, Sa or anyone else.
 
I think Shreyas did a fine job, batted at a good rate and got out at a right time. Now bring in Pandya.
 
Iyer has a tremendous average agaist spin and not very good against pacers and Aus fed him spinners.
 
As much as I want to see India lose I wouldn't mind witnessing a Kohli masterclass only reason I'm watching at the moment is him, once he gets out I'm going to bed.
 
australia should allow some sporting wickets for next matches , these are absolute phattas. Great disgrace to bowlers. Better bat against bowling machines.

It doesn’t work like that man, Kohli batting with him loves pace..you will run out of pace bowling options in the last 15 overs if you waste them in the middle because you want to get Iyer out. The guy is not so threatening either way at this level
 
Tbh, as good as Zampa’s record is against Kohli...the guy is a mediocre leg spinner.

Defo better than Karthik, Dhoni and jhadav though. But yea. Still pissss poor vs bounce. But he can play pace well. It makes no sense at all

There is Pandya coming behind as well, so you want to save your pacers for him rather than wasting them on Iyer.
 
India should have sent Pandya. We need to get to 200/3 after 30 to stand a chance.

Kohli loves pace and spin - he is a master batsman. Iyer would have gone out a lot earlier and that could have put a lot of pressure on Kohli and batsmen to follow. Surely they have other medium pacers to help out like Stonis.
 
Pandya and Moises both doing well on a track like this.

Hopefully Pakistan are watching and looking for a batsman who can bowl some decent cutters etc at 120-130kmh
 
Looks like entire Australian team participates in Movember except for Zampa.

Yes. Even Stoinis went for 20 odd in 7 overs in the last match. Pretty surprising when the team is chasing 370+, maybe struggling with the pace variations and wicket to wicket bowling.

Yep also night time under lights makes it harder. Want to see if Aussies can chase in night time next game hopefully.

I think that the lad Hussain Talat with some proper coaching could be a very handy One Day player for Pakistan because I believe he bowls the same kind of pace as Henriques and what Pandya is bowling now.

But we have Misbah and Waqar as our coaches so I don’t really see him becoming that kind of option for us
 
Starc seems really rusty, man hate to see it he's my favorite Non-Pakistani Bowler hopefully he can get back to his best.
