Besides helping Stokes get over the line at the end, Leach hasn't really offered much. And I struggle to see what purpose Denly serves, it's actually sad that things must be so bad that he opens the innings, goodness me![]()
poms are just no match for OZ's.
What happened to the Passion here on Pakpassion?
Batsmen smacks the ball to his pad, infield umpire gives it out lbw..
Then third umpires says not enough evidence to overturn decision...
The whole world could see it came off the bat and it could have gone down as the worst piece of third umpiring ever...
I wonder who has the following records in an Ashes series:
Best batting average
Most runs scored
Can Smith challenge these ?
Who are you supporting Immy
In my eyes it was a fantastic decision !

Spot on
Difference in the series has been Steve Smith.
Can’t think of anyone having such a great record other then Bradman.
Mind you I do recall Steve Waugh in 1989 (I think) and Slater in the 90’s being run machines in those respective ashes series
The Don leads on both those counts....

Come on guys. DOn't let it slip yet again. You are so close.
96 balls to draw.
how many overs left before a draw>?
England's shambolic batting lineup deserved nothing less.
Time to bin Roy, Denly, Root as captain and Buttler.
But but Australia are ovverated. Cummins is ovverated. Australia look flat. Without Smith, Australia can’t even beat Pakistan. Australia bowling is ovverated.
All famous quotes from Mamoon. Now look who has the urn. Don’t want to hear your rubbish excuses of Australia only winning because England are poor. Australia won because they are better prepared and a better team than England.
Only one team is ovverated.
Never ever disrespect the greatest cricketing nation.![]()

No disrespect but I was watching Cummins he is good against top order but failed against lower order,he just bowl short balls,i watched his debut against southafrica and he was pitching it up and also had a yorker, now he just bowls short, not a versatile bowler.
Congratulations to Australia.
Two teams with mediocre batting and good bowling, but Australia’s bowling is better and they have Steve Smith.
I wonder how India fans now view their Test series victory in Australia last southern summer? Does it feel hollow now that Steve Smith has made such a comeback? Same applies of course to Pakistan’s UAE victory last year.
I’ve said all along that these are two mediocre teams, inferior to New Zealand and South Africa and probably also India.I thought you can’t win in England if you don’t have a all rounder and batting to number 10?
Don’t worry about how Indians feel, your theory is absolute garbage lol.
If he adds more variation, more tricks then he will become much betterSo he isn’t good because he bowled short balls to the tail? He’s not versatile?
Poor analysis.
England don't need an overhaul. They need to replace their coach with a batting specialist.

I actually think that Mitch Marsh would have been a better choice than Matthew Wade, as you write.
As for the batting, they meet my specifications. Only Hazlewood and Lyon are tailenders, at numbers 8 and 9 they have two of Cummins, Pattinson and Starc who are capable of regular fifty partnerships.
That’s PRECISELY what I think every team should have.
England do need an overhaul of the County Championship and selection policies. They've been a mediocre Test team for four years and that's mainly due to terrible batting. Every innings they are 30-3. They're like Pakistan in the 2000s where the top order is hopeless against the new ball and middle/lower order has to keep bailing them out.
There are hardly any young, technically sound batting talent in County Cricket, people next in line like Sibley and Crawley average in the 30s. ECB are to blame by pushing the County Championship to the margins of the season (April and September) when batting conditions are a lottery. We need more FC cricket in July/August when pitches are flatter and youngsters gain experience of batting for long periods.
However ECB aren't listening, infact white ball formats will take even more precedence with this idiotic Hundred competition nobody wants.
Ed Smith also should be under the scanner for continually selecting white ball specialists like Buttler and Roy in Test cricket where their techniques have been exposed. I called Roy's failure two months ago. What were they expecting from someone who pushes at the ball with hard hands ? Ollie Pope should be given a run.
England basically lost to Smith. Smith demoralized entire English team, he completely destroyed their self belief that they could win this. It was like a mortal fighting a demigod. Total destruction.
Smith and Cummins pretty much carried them to the Ashes. Incredible work from the two Australians.
Congratulations to Australia.

England have to pick test players and bat them in their correct positions.
Vince should open
Bairstow shoul bat at four
Foakes to keep
and don’t drop Woakes in England
Congratulations to Australia.
