Australia defeat India by 3 wickets in the 3rd ODI

Most players ,including Smith, kane,Root would play the same way as Kohli is doing.There is not much wrong with the way Kohli is batting.The difference is that those guys have bowlers who can defend 300-310 but its we only who need 20-30 runs more for our bowlers.

That's the difference between Kohli and AB, Kohli even if he stays till the end will get India to a maximum score of only 290 wheres AB can get the team to around 350-360 with his brutal hitting.

People generally tend to hate players who have aggressive antics and swag like Ronaldo (not comparing him with kohli but just their body language) and people generally love down to earth players. I won't lie, I hated Ronaldo initially too for his antics. But the thing is, there are a few players who play the game with extreme passion and tend to channel their aggression in their game which will give them better results. For example, kohli always performs better whenever he is aggressive or gets into a fight and he has been on record saying that in press conference too.

And because they play the game with their heart on the sleeve, it may often rub in the wrong way for many fans. The truth is, Ronaldo is a very friendly guy off the field and he is a very good person by character too (does a lot of charities). In short, kohli is the sort of guy who people would hate (I would've hated him too probably if he had played for any other team) but would love to have in their team.
 
Focus on individual milestone will cost India yet another game

AB is a freak.He can do that.He is at different level But most top players would play the same way as Kohli does and its pretty fine.Kohli's other positive factors makes him a clear cut second best batsmen and better than Smith and co..
 
As usual people will be satisfied with their hero scoring 100 despite their team loosing.. Pathetic

People are happy about their hero scoring hundred, if you have a problem with this, go sulk in the corner.
 
Why does India leave it so late to go after the bowling. They've got a great batting order. I mean if you're 2 down after 35 I would think you'd immediately start going mental. 300 is nothing in Australia now.

Exactly my thoughts.. But somehow it's too hard to understand for some people around here..
 
I have a feeling that paratrooper training did a world of good for Dhoni. I can see a new purpose in his shots. Yes i know he has had only a couple of short stays at the wicket, but I get the feeling, this is a different Dhoni.

Good for India in upcoming WT20. I'm banking on Dhoni to finish well there.

Lower order isn't so good especially with no Raina now. Dhoni has been underwhelming for a while now (though this innings is a bit of an exception). Gurkeerat & Jadeja not reliable.

Yes, the way he is hitting the ball..hasn't done it for a long time. Looks very different.

Yes he is connecting them amazingly well. Most of those shots, today would be sixes on Indian grounds.

Also, I think he has decided to take it easy, as he may plan to retire after WT20

No we haven't. The middle order is weak. We don't have a power hitter either. someone who could score a 60 of 30..

You have done some "Bahart maa ke jai" stuff here indirectly as well. You were cringeworthy at times. The ones who just migrated might do some stuff like that, but ones that had been living there for 10,15,20 years won't over do those stuff. Then again why do you care if Indian fans cheer for their team ? :inti:kohli
 
Didn't see the batting at all. Dhoni has 2 more odis to prove himself. Kohli should be the Indian captain. LOL at Dhawan.

We should be proud of cheering in any part of the world for our team. Doesn't matter what others think.
 
India has 2-3 unknown bowlers who may or may not be very good but might be successful today due to novelty factor. Best chance to win today.

Drop dhawan and bring Raina in the team.Manish Pandey or other newcomers ( whoever proves) should open with Rohit.Rahane at 4 has find rythm now.No need to change his position anymore. That's how it should be.

R Dhawan to S Marsh, no run, his bustling run-up completely confused the batsman. The way he bulled in, Marsh expected much more than 120ks, didn't get up from a short of length and sneaked under his attempted pull through to the keeper

I miss Sachin + Sehwag days when we used to touch 100 runs in 12-15 overs. :(

To have this performance INSPITE of Starc not playing is pathetic on so many levels.
 
This will be a whitewash. The only place where we can out-bat them is subcontinent. Elsewhere, we got no chance.
