You forget that Salman Butt averages 42 in Australia and Umar Akmal has a good record here too in Tests and A Tests.

Against better bowlers, like Mitchell Johnson at his peak.
 
If only Pakistan had selected Salman Butt and Asif. Pakistanwould have won this by now #excuses

And these batsmen - unlike Butt and Akmal - haven't learned that Down Under you can't hit balls outside your eyeline.

Pakistan seriously need to rethink playing in UAE. We cannot produce fast bowlers or batsmen who can play fast bowlers. Nobody like to watch UAE tests.

Back in 80s/90s, we would not see a test match when scheduled for Faisalabad or Multan, tons of runs, nothing for seamers, mostly draws. Now every fricking UAE match is like that. How can you watch that or produce quality product on those wickets ???

Younis' last 6 inns - 0, 2, 1, 2, 11, 0 (Ave 2.66)
 
Why are some acting surprised?

The batting line-up was humiliated by Boult, De Grandhomme & Southee, why in the world would people think it would be different against Hazel, Starc & Bird?

Diff is YK at least scored a 50 if you include his last 7 innings, like you did for Shafiq. Also YK got a 50 in the warm up match. Plus YK has been a match winner for years.
 
As I said, we are in steep decline as a Test team. We fluked in England because we played in late summer and the pitches favored us, but now we are getting exposed and are in free fall.

Will be 5th/6th very soon, and that is the rightful position of this rubbish team.
 
Not sure if this even makes sense, but Younis Khan has to be the worse ATG ever. What other ATG has ever looked quite this inept as Younis in the last 5-6 innings?
 
Pakistan must not do changes as of now. It is important to stick with this bunch. They will come good..

Couldn't agree more, that series was some sort of perfect Storm of Pakistan playing above themselves and England well below. from memory, the 2 tests England won were comprehensive.

When they did get to number 1 I remember looking at the players in their side and shaking my head in disbelief, that those bunch of players represent the best team in the world. Didn't feel right.

Injustice against shafiq,we should have played umar akmal in away tour and bring asad back in uae,you can't let your best player play at the top order and in overseas conditions.

well its not liek the current number 1 side is better

they cant draw in england even in late summer conditions and went a whole tour of australia where they didnt win (including practise matches)
 
Guess everyone has to agree with Junaids, Butt could had been better but always the best player in Pakistan team is not selected.
 
Somehow just don't be bowled out today and start the 2nd innings tommorow after slogging some runs early.

I have to apologize to Aman. I thought Pakistan would manage to survive 3 sessions and score 200 odd.
 
I was wrong to say Pakistan will struggle to get 200....

they are struggling to even get 80
 
Time for a bold declaration. Hope that they don't enforce the follow-on and try and knock over a couple before stumps. :djb

'Better' Pakistan teams than the current lot have been beaten in more humiliating fashion than this.
 
shambolic...approach like sarfaraz would have ended like 150 or 200 all out which is better.

Don't give up hope, we've got 68 runs so far and I reckon we can manage 130+ runs in the second innings. :srt

You're deluding yourself if you seriously can't see that India are miles better than Pakistan at the moment.


There's no way what's currently happening here would ever happen to this current India side with batsmen like Vijay, Kohli, Rahane and co. I also think Shami and Kumar are as good as Amir and Wahab
 
where are those ppers who never miss a chance to undermine kohli's 4 centuries in Australia?

their team are unlikely make a single though
