Anderson needs to bowl to Warner, Broad not consistent at all atm. Good and bad balls in each over.

Warner looking great ay bud?

In good form for NSW. 4 centuries this season (including one dayers).

Mostly 100s and 50s in the Shield at a strike rate of 90

Not overly confident that he won't get out to a shot that isn't there.

Anderson bowling great, broad bowling pies, broad gets the wicket. I love cricket.

Can see the confidence in his batting. Fortune favours the brave.

Everywhere we go!!!
People want to know!!
Who we are!!
Where we come from!!
So we tell them!!
We are the army!!
The Barmy Barmy army!!

Barmy army Barmy army Barmy army!

Can't beat the Sky commentary team's banter, definitely the best in the world - probably because a lot of these guys are from similar eras but with the old and new. Botham/Bumble/Gower/Holding and then Warne/Hussain/Atherton/Strauss.

Watson playing the pull to Broad, crowd booing again. :yk

Australia's batting line up looks really weak..

Smith at 5..

Would have tried to squeeze in Faulkner he's pretty handy with the bat.

Swann into the attack, hit for four second ball. Australia going well.

Warner goes after Swan straight away. I was expecting a few wickets to tumble early but a solid start by Aus.

Wicket is really flat, expect one of Clarke, Cook and KP to go big.

I miss C9 commentary as sky has their own team. Sky might be good at in depth analysis but C9 guys are top notch for providing excitement.

That's lunch. Eng slightly on top now having got Watson's wicket.

A lose shot from Watson. Bowling has not been that impressive but Aus gave away 2 wickets anyway. First one was fine but second was really stupid from Watson.

Is it sad that I'm satisfied that Watto faced 70 balls.

It's more than I expected from him

Watson would be probably be better at #5 and make him use his bowling skills.

five pacemen is idiocy.

Lyon does have a decent test record as well

With rain being on the card in the last couple of days going in with an all pace attack wouldn't have been that bad a call imo. I expected a lot more for the quicks on this wicket though. Seems to have flattened out already.

And then Clarke gets suspended for overrates.

Faulkner is slow, can't swing it and isn't tall. Not sure why he'd be more of a wickettaker than Lyon.

Faulkner is a bit underrated by Aus I reckon. The guy may not look much with the bat or ball but from what I've seen of him a real fighter and seems to somehow find a way to get the job done.

On this flat pitch, he should have played at least one more session. Another 70-80 runs partnership and Eng would have been under pressure.

Yaah, he has familiar old Aus attitude. I like it as well but I am not sure about his bowling adding much value in Test format. In ODI's, batsmen are trying to score so it is bit different.

He's got strong character but he doesn't have the tools to be a test cricketer.

Don't forget Faulkner picked up 6 wickets and 40 odd runs at the Oval. Not too shabby that.

Last day when England went the tonk.

Faulkner's a fighter but test in test out he'll never perform.

Needs a bit in the wicket to be a threat.

Huss great addition to the ch9 commentary team.

Anderson looks the best bowler today, but Broad gets wickets somehow.

Would make a top notch coach down the years as well me thinks.

Oh my god, Clarke gone to Broad, again. I don't know how Broad does it.

Broad executes the plan perfectly..captain clarke gone!

Does Clarke have problems with the short bowl?

Should be studying for a test but just came here to say that Broad, when on song, is a wonderful bowler.

If he just fixes up his attitude and become more consistent, he'll become one of England's best ever.

Dismal effort from the OZ so far, good bowling by Bambi.

A lot depends on Warner now. Smith will chip in with a few as usual. Bailey has a terrible record at the Gabba for some reason.

At the start of the match I was hoping for a first innings score of around 350. After this I would be happy with 250.

Hey.. Did anybody else noticed.. Michael Clarke got out to a front foot no ball i think!

Too late for that now.

Well, it's a very flat pitch so if Aus can get one good partnership then 250-300 is not a big total.

Watson wicket was key for Eng. 72/1 would've been a fantastic position to be in.

Warner seems to be seeing them like beachballs

Wow, Broad again. Average ball, excellent reaction by Kp to catch it.

Wow, Australia being bullied by England at home again. That too, with chief villain Broad who's set for a five.

Save us George Bailey...you're our only @#$% hope

Bailey is some form..lets see if he can translate that to test match cricket

off the mark with a good shot for 3

Stage is set for a Bailey century, what an Ashes story it would be on the first day of a series from this position.
