Australia vs England @ Perth: 3rd Test, Day 2

And KP perishes...Symmo makes no mistake, KP cowlashes one shot too many to long off and KP is on his way for 70. That was a brainless shot for the 2nd last ball of the over when he could've held back and attacked Warne next over.

Here comes Full Monty.

Searing yorker from Lee but Monty digs it out.

Big appeal from Warney for LBW but Dar is unmoved.

LOL, Warney asked Dar what it was missing (ie what stump) and Dar replied "everything".

And Monty breathes a sigh of relief that Harmy, and not him, is the one to face Lee next over.

This is what Lee is brilliant at - bowling to hapless tailenders who can't even see the ball. His no-plan style of bowling is suitable here.

Tail wagging furiously here with Monty and Harmy cutting loose.

The Barmy Army are cheering every single like it was a boundary!

22 off 32 deliveries this partnership is worth.

Geez Lee is bloody hopeless eh. Why can't he get these bunnies out?

Here comes Clark to put an end to proceedings. Harmy hits another 4 to fine leg.

9-209. Monty, the bloke who couldn't bat has the 5th highest England score in this innings.

444444444444444 more to Monty, straight drive. Crowd are on their feet! Monty goes to 16*, the 4th highest England score in the innings.

This is the best partnership of the innings at 39.

9-215. McGrath on to bowl now to put an end to this. :)))

I would be bloody embarrassed if I was an English batsmen to see the 10th partnership have the highest partnership of the innings.
Shocking.

Shocking.

Bit embarrassing for the OZ bowling too, though. But Harmy skies one and Lee takes a safe catch to mid on.

England all out for 215. OZ have a 29-run lead, much less than what they would have thought right after lunch. But I'm sure if they'd have taken any lead if they'd been asked after their innings yesterday.

The Aussies bowled very well but England really should have been bowled for 170.
Monty and Steve batted very well at the end hitting some batsmen like shots.
Is Monty's only shot the sweep shot? Thats all I saw him play. But he plays that very well.

FOW: Fall of wickets1-36 (Cook, 5.6 ov), 2-37 (Bell, 6.6 ov), 3-55 (Collingwood, 17.2 ov), 4-82 (Strauss, 24.2 ov), 5-107 (Flintoff, 33.4 ov), 6-114 (Jones, 35.6 ov), 7-128 (Mahmood, 40.6 ov), 8-155 (Hoggard, 51.6 ov), 9-175 (Pietersen, 54.5 ov), 10-215 (Harmison, 64.1 ov)

OZ Bowling:
Lee 18 1 69 2 3.83 (6nb)
GD McGrath 18 5 48 2 2.66 (4nb)
SR Clark 15.1 3 49 3 3.23 (1w)
SK Warne 9 0 41 1 4.55
A Symonds 4 1 8 2 2.00

match is alive once again after 10th wicket partnership.
But don't think Eng can win it though.
They need to ball well so can restrict Aussie to low total.
Hoggy & Harmison should start with new ball

Bowled through the gate by one that swung back in. Here comes Ponting to open the innings. Ponting is most vulnerable in the first four overs of his innings, if they can knock him over then it's game on.

65mph ball that swung in and just missed the inside edge to knock Gnome's stumps over.

Hayden needs to make a biggish score today.
He really needs to make 50 an make a partnership with Ponting.

England batsmen have blew it big time! This was their only chance to put the Aussies on the backfoot and they fluffed it by batting horribly

Good pull shot by Hayden goes for four.
Panesar dives but just misses it.

Harmison into the attack and bowls a ball that bounces and surprises Punter.

GJ takes a nice ball down the legside.
Not out, it hit the thigh pad.

Hayden creams the next ball through point for 4.
Awesome shot. Hayden now on 20.

Pulled for 4 runs.
Awesome shot. The best player of that shot in the world.
1/37

444444444444444444444 for Ponting, pulled through the onside.

OG, where are ya?

I'm here, having some problems trying to print with Firefox.

44444444444444444444444 again, pulled through square leg.

Another brilliant pull shot from the equal best batsmen in the world at the moment. (Equal with MoYu)(I thought I should say that or I would be classed as Bias).
9 off the over so far.

Harmy getting punished here bowling too short.

You use firefox eh? Is that faster than IE? I use IE and I have never used MF

Current battle: The Fanatics (The Boony Army) V The Barmy Army
Great contest to see who is the loudest. I think TBA are louder atm.

Monty such a legend. Batted like a proper batsman today, even hit a delicious on drive.

Hayden moves to 29 with a lovely flick off the legs.
1/51
Hayden creams the next ball and it looks like it will go for four Bell dives and takes a wonderful stop.

Was he planning to pull it anywhere else? Possibly the offside? :P

Here comes the Full Monty again! Can he break this partnership? 57 runs between Haydunce and Dubya.

I once saw a player execute a beautiful pull shot. Only problem was he executed it a bit too early and the ball hit the top edge of the bat and ricocheted for a boundary - on the off side. :))) :))) :)))

IF only I had that luck when I was batting...

I never seen anyone insult their players ever more so than you. Explains why you so liked on PP. :D (yes i will secretly admit you are my fav aussie with your cracka jack nicknames!)

I feel insulted :( :P lol nah jks.
Lead is nearing 100 now.

1-67 now, both batsmen looking comfortable at the crease. GoJo spills a possible caught chance. I thought he was a better keeper than Read?

LOL I have some even better nicknames for the OZ (and others) that I can't use here, unfortunately (particularly a certain Simon Katich).

You've got to have the ability to laugh at your own I reckon. Keeps your feet on the ground. :D

Damn, gotta watch the cricket on my phone now.
Mum has taken the tv remote and changed channel. >: (

You have to admit, he does look like Dubya though:

OZ lead by 105 runs, 1-76. If we can get to the end of the day with these two at the crease or at least Ponting still at the crease then we'll be really well placed for a Day 3 assault and then bowl last on this pitch. Good RR 3.95.

20 overs to go.

England desperately need a breakthrough. You can just see that little urn slipping out of their grasp.

1/82

Hayden 39
Ponting 38

I feel something big is going to happen soon. Whether is be a wicket, dropped catch, missed stumping or a big shot, I dont know.
