Stakes could not get any higher as Australia and India square up for the second Test in Adelaide with the series precariously placed after India romped to a 295-run crushing win with the narrative just beginning in Perth.

India would be one win away from making an absolute statement in the series. Another win for India would put the visitors on the brink of a historic series win, while Australia must regroup quickly to avoid going 2-0 down

Australia are imperious at home under lights, and the pink-ball record in Adelaide will be a formidable place to fall on.

However, their problems are great; including the absence of Josh Hazlewood due to injury and the underwhelming form of their top order. Mitchell Marsh is expected to contribute with the ball.

India come into the game with confidence but with a lot of doubts surrounding their pink-ball performances after collapsing 36 runs in their last night-day Test here

Oh i tought i have to wakeup at 5 AM( IST) so set the alarm but forget its a day night test so it's 9:30 AM start.

Great no worry about time zone now .

Can’t wait to see Starc with the ball in his hands under the lights swinging it both ways!

If these 3 players perform well the Australia will definitely win Stevie Smith, Travis Head, Scott Boland

Only way india can compete if bumrah perform well

I still think our batting is very fragile .

1-1 :kp

So 6 mm grass.
I have watched a prodcast where Vaughn and Gilly were talking about day night Test's.

Most Wickets were Fallen in 1st session where ball is new rather than under the lights.( Adelaide oval stats)

It is going to be a lottery in essence.

If India put runs on the board again, it will be trouble for a very flimsy Aussie batting line up.

Pink ball tests should be banned. Apart from Australia, no other country does them.

You need to apply extra laker on the ball to make it shiny pink. Then need to leave a lot of grass on pitch so that the ball doesn't get roughed up quickly. It is also difficult to sight the pink ball compared to red cherry and almost impossible to sight during twilight.

Against lower ranked sides they can experiment. But two top teams playing pink ball test makes no sense.

Adelaide oval is not a bouncy wicket. That is where i believe AUstralia will negotiate Bumrah better. When there is bounce and pace Bumrah is a completely different type of bowler. Hope India doesn't bank too much on Bumrah here. Others have to step up.

Lol australian team is awful all the batsmen have average under 30 in 2024 and their average age is 33 which is way too much.

Most of them should be in nursing home. LOL

Yea they are so bad they are like 61 points ahead of second best team in the ICC test ranking

Mcg has good bounce
Gabba has steep bounce
Perth has steep bounce

Scg low bounce
Adelaide low bounce.

Correct

Bumrah only has issues on slow low bounce pitches but reverse swing is a weapon and he can still swing the pink cherry

Shami surprisingly is bad in swing conditions and also with pink ball

Only team have lost just 4 tests over the last 2 years. Every other team had lost more at home. They are a quality side.

Disappointed to see Sundar dropped but don't think he can contribute much in the role he is being asked to play. Feel his batting might be better suited for top 5.

India will not be worried , The way Bumrah bowled in first test , India will be always in the game.

Looks like starc was a bit too slow for Jiaswal that he chose not to wait too much and chose to get out instead... Classic Starc dismissal.

Pleasantly surprised Rohit decided not to open.

Nah that's too harsh on him. On songs Starc is one the deadliest bowler in the world cricket #Fact . :kp
second innings left. ball tampering loser starc wont be spared next test anyway. enjoy the pink ball for now.

Gill is looking good here. Injury hasn't impacted him too much.

Very first ball. What seemed like going down straightened. SO can't blame him. First ball you don't prepare yourself for that
His balance was completely off. Look at his head position he was expecting the ball to be well outside off stump

I think Boland will be more threating than Cummins becouse Boland is hitting 75% ball to the stumps .

Boland is always Bowl fuller length which is not bounce much compared to Cummins

That is mostly happen When batters are facing first delivery of a test match .

So I'll give jaiswal some leverage. hope he can score some runs in 2nd innings like 1st test.

Gill yar don't play this type of rash shots. Its not a T20 cricket .have some patience

Rahul being the Pujara of this tour. 0 (18)*
