Dropping Babar and Rizwan was a sensible move and the right call for Pakistan in this format. But bringing back players like Khushdil, Nawaz, and Faheem feels like taking one step forward and a hundred steps back.

Tbh i will take Babar, Rizwan over bottlers like Khusdil, Nawaz and Faheem anyday. Hesson doesn't look like he knows what he is doing to be honest. He failed to arrest Islamabad United's decline in their last 5 games in the last PSL season

I do not think Babar or Rizwan would have made much difference here. The honest truth is that Pakistan has to go into a long term re-building phase . This way the cricket is going nowhere . Yes , a lot of youngsters are playing and love this game , but they are not good enough for International cricket. You need to place a long term plan , and be prepared to lose 3 - 4 years.

Not even close. Most teams will struggle here. Pakistan has been whitewashed in Bangladesh on very good tracks that too in ODIs.
 
Mustafiz needs to improve fielding. Gave away a boundary. Dropped a catch last game too.

These things add up.

While I don't agree with Hesson's reliance on 'allrounders', still he is a breath of fresh air in Pakistan cricket. Most teams have struggled on these tracks so I won't look much into it.

I said 2 years ago capitulation was close.

We have been declining since 2005.

International grade players are just not coming through. Before it was just bowlers not coming through, now its all roles. Filthy techniques. Fast bowlers have terrible biomechanics, some of them struggle to run and bowl properly. Batters can barelty connect cleanly.

They are just good enough for T20 tourney money and that has locked them down at this level.

This won't change until players with professional pride and ambition come through who want to be more than a medicore T20 league journeymen.
 
This series defeat has nothing to do with Babar anf Rizwan not playing. Decisions by Selection committee and team management is questionable. Why Fakhar cant bat at Number 3 now? he did that in last 3 years.. so to adjust khushdil and Nawaz we drop Sahibzada farhan who had prolific IPL season and Fifty against BD. we stuff team with wanna be all rounders this what you get

It wasn't this bad until these zero knowledge fans and toxic cricket experts decided to put unnecessary pressure on our best players.
 
Please don't fight between yourself. This is not just an issue that Rizwan isn't playing or Babar isn't playing.

Our cricket has been rotten for many years. Now that rotten tree is bearing rotten fruit.

It is going to be a tough slog for a while.

This is what I don't like about Tanzim. He did the same in UAE. Bowls loose deliveries when under pressure and when things get casual.

I would drop Tanzim and play Taskin/Ebadot/Khaled Ahmed.
 
Pitches are bad but not that bad where Pakistan struggling to reach 50/7 in 14 overs . Surely you Can't entirely blamed pitches for These embarassing performance :kp

Harry Brooks is the greatest young talent of this generation followed by Steve smith the greatest test batter after Bradman.

Its an undeniable fact. Indians are losers who lost fighter jets and trampled on their own during IPL.

That is fine, but I am happy that the narrative that Pakistan has been held back by those two or that we have quality young players ready to take over from has also been destroyed.

They make the best Pakistan XI along with Shaheen in all formats with ease.
