I’m talking about Pakistan

For BD to win, they need to bat till day 5 with a lead of maybe 150 (highly unlikely), and who knows what can happen on day 5 with Pakistan
 
Pakistan should not have declared so soon, what did they think ? That Bangladesh team would get All Out for a cheap score and 450+ is enough. Pakistan by declaring in advance has allowed Bangladesh to have a small opening where they could fancy their chances or atleast if they reach Pakistan's target, Pakistan will have to bat sensibly in the next innings. Can't afford another 16/3.

They did the right thing. They knew the pitch is flat so they needed enough time to get those 20 wickets.

Thanks to our dumb think tank for not playing a proper spinner. I have been saying for ever, play a damn spinner no matter what conditions.

Riz scores runs for you, takes awesome catches for you, now you also want him to take wickets too? Geez!!!!
 
Khurram has shown there is something for the bowlers in this surface.
Shaheen if he continues to be so wayward should be sent packing soon

This is what happens when you don't play a front line spinner.

Agha getting spanked for a few boundaries in consecutive overs. Has been bowling all over the place too short mostly doesn't know the lengths to bowl or angles.
 
After lunch they've gone up with their scoring rate getting it to 3 an over now especially the boundaries now flowing through.
 
Where is Tamim Iqbal, would have loved for him to bash these Pak bowlers and get his average above 40+ again @sweep_shot

Commentary bloke’s a legend, am pretty sure he has mentioned Shadman has been batting like Bradman in Bangladeshi Domestic cricket a good few times now, he mentioned it when he came out to bat, I went to bed, still talking about his doubles and triples; now the legend has been vindicated he’s going to pagal in tbe bhooth, Shadman has been batting beautifully.

Because he is not a specialist Spinner. But Gillespie doesn't seem to think that.
 
What was it all about the pitches being prepared to have more juice, and having their own style of play at home with the 4 pacers blah blah, they could have picked any 4 here, wouldn't have made a difference

Yes, this pitch wont be forgiving on their backs and they don’t really work out properly.

Pak don’t have the firepower for this pitch either. You need perhaps a Mark Wood and bowl him in pairs with an attacking spinner.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced free entry for spectators for the remaining days (fourth and fifth) of the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The decision was made keeping in view of the weekend, which will allow families and students to turn up in maximum numbers to support their cricketing stars and witness action between the two sides. The ongoing two-match Test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

Spectators are required to bring their original CNIC or B-form to enter the stadium and they will be able to watch the action free of cost from any of the VIP enclosures (Imran Khan and Javed Miandad) (for families only) and premium enclosures (Miran Baksh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir and Yasir Arafat).

The free entry policy does not apply for the tickets purchased for the PCB Gallery or Platinum Box.

Fans who have already brought tickets for the fourth and fifth days, will get a refund. Tickets bought online will be automatically refunded to the credit/debit card used for purchase. For tickets purchased at Express Centres, the fans are requested to bring their original ticket to the centre to get a refund.

Additionally, to further facilitate the fans, a free shuttle bus service will continue to operate on two routes on matchdays for ease of access into the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium for spectators. Route 1 will run from Aviation Ground, Rawal Road, Murree Road to Allama Iqbal Park Entrance Gate while the Route 2 will go from Government Satellite Town College for Boys, 6th Road, Murree Road to Allama Iqbal Park Entrance Gate.

Yea it did look a lapse of concentration. Missed a straighter one. Probably got blinded. Rarely that can happen with a batter
 
The bowling has not been bad. The pitch yet again is awful and mostly docile. Even the wickets that have come, have come through the bowlers bending their backs. Otherwise there is little to no help for the seamers.
 
Shaheen though has been really disappointing. Looked absolutely toothless after his first spell. Pace keeps dropping too.
 
Bangladesh are trailing by 249 runs. 6 wickets in hand.

Draw seems likely now. 7 sessions to go.
 
Bowling is toothless and has been for a while now.

Shaheen should be dropped from test and odi. He is no longer the bowler he was. Has become a trundler and t20 journeyman.

Pakistan need a lead of atleast 150 to make a match of it by batting quick for 2 sessions and leaving enough time for the bowlers to take 10 Bangladeshi wickets in the final innings.

Less than 100 runs lead would mean nothing .
 
On a road pitch like this Bangladesh should have been atleast 300 by now in 70 overs. Good teams would be looking at 350 to 400.

He is playing a test match after 9 months. It's ridiculous why our pacers can't come in with 2-3 first class 3-4 day games under their belt before the start of test series at home so that they are not under cooked on national duty.

300 in 70 overs. That's more than 4 runs per over. Even Pakistan's run-rate was 3.96.

I think you should stick to IPL. Test is clearly not for you.

You should stick to Bangladesh cricket lol India scored 400 runs in 70 overs in 2006 iteself at Karachi.
 
BD - 226/5 (74.4 overs).

BD should try to finish the day without losing any more wicket.
 
Shan has missed the trick here. Specialist Spinner would have knocked this team out in a hurry.

Even if they paid them 1k per person to come and watch even then they won't. This is how bad the state of cricket is in the country.
