Bangladesh (565 & 30/0) secure a historic Test win by 10 wickets against Pakistan (448/6d & 146) in the 1st Test match and lead the 2-match series 1-0

I think this is the most torturous Test match I've ever watched.

I've always had my baby cousin ask me why I watch test since it's just tuk tuk boring practise(He doesn't watch cricket BTW)

Imagine if I showed him this test smh, I'd die in embrassment.

Have to hand it to you if you actually sat there watching the whole thing as I haven't bothered.

Just barely putting it on but have rather watched Eng-SL instead.

I mean I sat and watched pretty much all of it. Took a small break for maybe 1 to 2 overs for a food or coffee. But yeah, I can't believe I did this 🤣🤣

This is now BD's highest Test score against Pakistan ever (going past 555/6 they scored against Pakistan in 2015).

This is also BD's 4th highest Test total ever.
 
Did they take the 3rd new ball? I'm not sure if was the best strategy for Mehidy to hit out.

BD should have just looked to make PAK grovel.
 
Nahid and Hassan Mahmud should improve their batting.

Tail batting is important in modern day cricket.

Agree. That's why top bowlers are worth their weight in gold and that's why Australia have been so successful for pretty much their entire history

Maybe making artificial cracks be the best way to go on this ground to force a result. Rank turner from day one. One hits a crack and bounces or stays low.

I backed Abdullah before this test series. But he hasn't improved an inch.

Still struggles with anything that moves away from him, Still gets caught napping with that inswing.

Have not seen any improvement to become the aggressive opener he claimed he would.

The whole psl nonsense was just to get back in the team

I agree. We are on our lowest ever in terms of impactful players. They are just coward playing for their own spot and have so many insecurities except for maybe 1-2 players.
Even zimbabwe on their home ground will show more intent and impact

Any Batsman who can't score in both innings on this flat pancake against our bowlers needs to go back to the domestics
 
Its not our fault we are rubbish..what a pathetic waft from Saim. Have you seen the effort from their pacers compared to ours aswell..they are beating us every over. We need rain to save us simple

Any current Indian batsman is far better than ours. Current players will not even selected in Ind/Eng/Aus A teams
 
We need to get these Pindi groundsman to look at the roads in the UK. The pothole crisis can be solved by them.

I don't know if he is that good but the kid has different mentality than other bowlers you see. That is because he is from that u19 world cup winning batch. Because they won a big tournament that batch usually has belief on themselves and don't usually give up like our other bowlers

A) See a player fail a million matches but perform once and they are suddenly generational superstars. I've seen it all from Asif Butler Ali to Iftimania to Saim the future Devillers.

B) See a 40 to 50 Avg and go goo goo ga ga over it before USA, Ireland and Bangladesh show them up.

Literally all that rizwan has shut his haters up only for a 37 year old close to retirement player outshine him casually

Those things play a role. But ultimately skills will determine how far you will go. He has pretty good skills. He is the best left arm seamer in Asia at this point.
 
Bangladesh can only blame themselves if they miss out the opportunity to win this. Only 2 batsmen in the team and one of them (Rizwan) is not fit.

What's the point? They need to first fix the drainage system and the seats for the spectators.

No point in curating a pitch if a little water will ruin and dampen everything.

England pitches have the best draining system and the groundsmen can virtually curate any pitch they desire.

You need a multimillion dollar overhaul, it isn't as simple as hey look at me, follow this recipe.
