We have truly become a meme.

Along-with the lack of proper skills, our players are brainless and have no intention of playing this sport anymore.

Just look at most of these losers going through the motion.
 
This is the best opportunity for Pakistan team to practice aggressive play. They will need this practice before England comes
 
Both these sides test status should be revoked.. Pak making Bangladesh look like Graeme Smiths SA
 
Pakistan could have lost 5 wickets in those 10 overs, that's how many chances were created..how is Pakistan struggling here big time when Mehidy Hassan was scoring runs for fun..
 
Mehdy hasan was always going to score runs they have much better and balanced team by us

Bangladesh can play for draw. Nobody is going to complain. But if Pakistan plays for draw there will be questions. But they don't have enough time to take a lead and take 10 wickets. They ahve to do something like what Bumrah and co did in England.

They have to crack the pitch. Maybe ask the curator to axe it before the 2nd Test.

The only result I see is a tame draw or Pakistan can pull one of their famous collapses tomorrow.
 
They won't prepare sporting wickets because bengalis have a better team

They would steam roll us over if the wicket supported the bowlers.

So they played it safe for the cabal and rolled out a phatta and they are still struggling to save the match 😄

I think Simon Doull theory about why Pakistan prepare flat pitches still holds true. But he failed here as well.
 
Rawalpindi, 24 August 2024: Mushfiqur Rahim became only the second Bangladesh batter after Mohammad Ashraful (190) to be dismissed in the 190s as Pakistan were left chasing the first Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Mushfiqur, who started the fourth day’s play at his overnight score of 55 in Bangladesh’s 316 for five while replying to Pakistan’s 448 for six declared, was dismissed after scoring 191 in Bangladesh’s 565, their third highest total outside home.

When play ended on the penultimate day, Pakistan, trailing by 117 runs on the first innings, were 23 for one after 45 minutes of batting with Abdullah Shafique (12) and captain Shan Masood (nine) at the crease. Saim Ayub (one) was the batter to be dismissed.

Mushfiqur, who featured in the first four-day match for Bangladesh ‘A’ against Pakistan Shaheens, took full advantage of a DRS reprieve when he was on 59 with the scoreboard showing Bangladesh as 324 for six was eventually caught at the wicket off fast bowler Mohammad Ali who ended with figures of two for 88. Mushfiqur occupied the crease for eight hours and 42 minutes during which he received 341 deliveries of which 22 were converted into fours and one into six.

When Mushfiqur reached three figures off 200 balls with 12 fours, he completed his 11th Test century, making him the second most successful Bangladesh batter after Mominul Haque (12).

The diminutive 37-year-old, in association with 26-year-old Mehidy Hasan Miraz, broke the 48-year-old record when the duo put on 196 runs for the seventh wicket – highest against Pakistan to date, eclipsing the 186 runs partnership between Warren Lees and Sir Richard Hadlee in Karachi in 1976.

Mehidy, who was dropped on 52 and 59, was the ninth batter out after scoring a 179-ball 77 with six fours. He fell to Shaheen Shah Afridi, who celebrated the birth of his first child by finishing with figures of two for 88 off 30 overs.

Pakistan had started the fourth day’s proceedings promisingly when Naseem Shah dismissed Litton Das to make Bangladesh 332 for six. Litton, who was 52 overnight, managed to add only four runs to his score.

But then Pakistan had to wait for another 56 overs before finding another success.

After Mushfiqur was the seventh batter to be dismissed, Hasan Mahmud lasted 18 balls for his naught before falling to Shaheen. He was followed by Mehidy and the innings was finally wrapped up when Shoriful Islam’s breezy 14-ball 22 was ended by Naseem.

Naseem turned out to be the most successful of the four-pace attack with figures of 27.3-6-93-3, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Ali and Khurram Shahzad picked up two wickets apiece.

Salman Ali Agha turned down 41 overs and remained wicketless, but he will consider himself unlucky as two catches were dropped off his bowling.

Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 171 not out with the bat in Pakistan’s 448 for six declared, accounted for four batters behind the stumps, but was also guilty of dropping Mehidy when 52.

I really hope they make a fast bowling wicket. Afridi Naseem will be deadly in that wicket. But so will be our trio. It'll be a good test for Pakistan and a interesting match

Yeah.

I don't think they can make a fast bowling pitch so quickly. 2nd game is also at this ground.

We may see another flat wicket.
 
New Bangladesh under new Government, new BCB president off to a good start in cricket Alhamdulilah, batted with such determination, focus and grit like not seen in a long time from them. .

I would feel highly demotivated as an employee if my big boss was highly incompetent and a political appointment with no relevant qualification.
 
It was hearth warming to see the Pakistan fans in the crowds chanting tumi ke ami ke Bangladesh Bangladesh. Hope they get what they are seeking InshAllah. We need a stronger ties with Pakistan and China in every thing. now that the dictator dalal Hasina is gone, she was keeping Bd away from Pak to please her masters nearby.

Clearly you didn't see the 2021 South Africa vs Pakistan series where pace, bounce and seam movement were consistent features across both matches, as Pakistan outplayed a side with a superior pace attack to theirs.

Err no. Those were not fast and bouncy. There was movement and even spin though.

Even if he says that he is available to be picked.

Grown men with no brains run PCB , that’s how the results are. Young man expecting his first child emotions will take over and won’t be able to present himself in the job.

He is there with the team to bowl 30+ overs and take the wicket of a tailender lol, is that what he gonna say to his son when he grows up, poor Shaheen
 
I hope Shaheen rests for the next game and let abrar play the next game no matter what type of pith it is going to be. This match is done and dusted.

Pakistan can lose this game as well you never know. This batting can collapse any moment.

What is so special about Shaheen that he deserves to be rested? When was the last time he played a test match?

He needs to be given a big kick in the backside and be treated like any other member of the side.

lol they have been poor out of the lot. Shaheen bowls full tosses. Ban pacers are much better than this Pak lot

Well they can call it rested but actually for poor performances indeed.

They should have rested Babar Shabeen and Rizwan to send the message that they can form a team to win without them.

Hurraira / Kamran for Babar
Mir Hamza for Shaheen
Sarfraz or Rohail Nazir for Rizwan

Without trying the bench strength they will
never know what’s left with and also doesn’t bring in any competition for these so called world class tailunts.
 
Shaheen should be dropped not rested. They should have played Mir Hamza to begin with instead of him. Seriously missed Amir Jamal also. Expecting a collapse and either Bangladesh win or a lucky draw

Heard that Babar can't be dropped as he brings the crowd. What a looser mentality is this from PCB.
 
Babar is the biggest reason for whom these flat tracks are prepared and yet he can't take advantage while opposition batsmen score for fun.
 
As I told every team has 3-4 superior batsmen than Babar. This guy can only perform in flat and sunny weather.

Until PCB realize Babar/Shaeen are finished and Shan/Saim/Shafiq not international material we will be around no.8-10 in test
 
What PCB's issue with Abrar? Guy has been ignored last 3 managements under 2 different captains.

Exactly!!! Babar is just another hype. Even Rizwan and Saud are better than Babar. Without luck, poor bowlers and flat tracks this guy wouldn't even have 30 ave in any format of games.
 
BD only have 2 bowlers. They needed Test class seamers like Ebadot and Taskin instead of Nahid and Mehidy.

Costly drop of Babar ain't helping either.

Tashkin and Ebadot are injured. Nahid isn't that bad, he is currently the fastest bowler in BD, you dont see pace like that in BD. he is very raw needs nurturing, he might still come good.

Mehidy needs pitch to bowl. if its not a spinning track he is useless. he is a good lower order batsman thats why he gets selected

That's unfortunate. But Ebadot is the most impressive BD seamer I have ever seen.

Nahid does not have the control of a Test bowler.

Understand the selection but it's more important to take 20 wickets than lower order runs I suppose.

Then better to take rest from the game and give someone a chance who gives his 100% despite all the adversities.

We removed Wasim, Mani, Ramiz, Zaka and now we are targeting Naqvi. How come all these people who come to rule are at fault but not the skill less, incompetent and mediocre players?
 
Nearly every BD bowler looks unplayable, even Nahid and Shaking are troubling the Pak batters. Mesnwhile all Pakistani bowlers looked nothing but toothless..

The repeated failures of Pakistani bowlers have been overlooked for the past 3-4 years. They've been hyped as speed stars on social media, despite delivering ZERO match-winning performances on the field. I can't recall the last time Pakistan bowled out the opposition in any format without conceding a significant amount of runs.
