Bangladesh (565 & 30/0) secure a historic Test win by 10 wickets against Pakistan (448/6d & 146) in the 1st Test match and lead the 2-match series 1-0

Took far too long but the correct decision

If I could see after a few replays it wasn't out, why did it take them so long?
 
The stumps were disturbed when the bat was millimetres off the pitch. But it wasnt conclusive enough
 
It was very careless stuff from Saud. Should never lose your concentration.
 
Feels great to see Test again. Batters batting out sessions.

Much better than garbage T20.

The stumps were indeed disturbed but the frame when the bails were lit up the bat was grounded

Seems bizarre they took so long to get to the decision yet when it came to Shan Masood's dismissal they were in a hurry
 
Sarfraz Ahmed is such a pointless selection. He is 40 years old with mediocre record.

A new wicket keeper should be groomed instead of that uncle
 
Test cricket is great When two quality team play each other .

Here Pakistan is just crushing Bangladesh after initial trouble .

Its one sided affairs and too boring to watch .

When there is no consistency of line and length then batsmen batting out session is much easier. This affair is getting boring now

Gough must have taken note of the criticism so he's taking as long as possible and explaining his decision

But as much as I want to see agha bat, Pakistan really need to declare now, They lost alot of time yesterday. Unless they want a draw, they need to go now
 
After rizwam gets his 150, Pakistan need to tea off. Give Bamgaldesh a solid 30-35 overs to bat today

I think they should start slogging and try to reach 450-500 fast.

That's also possible and a good strategy but I don't think there is much batting left and pitch is not exactly nice to bat on. It's OKish pitch for batting not an absolute road.

A) That ain't gonna happen, This team isn't England. We can maybe see agha go at 100 to 110 and rizwan rotate strike per ball and hit a few boundaries but that's it.

If they don't declare now, They have no choice but to take it to 450 by day 3 and do their best to bat Bangladesh put 2x in 2.5 days

No, Max an hour or 2 left.

40 overs won't be bowled, just like yesterday where all 48 hrs didn't happen even with the 30 min time extension, Max we have is around 25 to 30 overs left
 
Weather forecast for remaining days looks good and yesterday overs were not completed due to rain .

So i think we will get full play rest of the days .

200 over is more than enough to bundled out Bangladesh twice .

Where do you get this assumption from that they're more than part timers?

Only Agha has bowled more than the other 2 and Saim hasn't actually bowled in FC and no comparing T20 bowling to FC or test is not the same thing.

Saud has bowled in FC but it is Tests where he hasn't bowled much at all.

There's going to be time lost on Saturday with some thunderstorms forecasted so can't rule it out as yet.

If you have seen Saud and Ayoub bowling then you wouldn't have to ask this question. Ayub can even bowl well disguise mystery bowl as well.

I've seen both of them bowling, thank you.

As I said bowling in tests is different and with a red ball as well.

Will the Pakistan think tank go that way is all that we will have to wait and see.
 
lol by the looks of the they are going for the 'safe' side. Need to accelerate to get to near 550 and declare.
 
Shakib will score lot of runs on this pitch too. Although right now, he may hit a 100 with the ball.
 
I would be looking to declare once we get to 400, maybe have a few overs of slogging to quickly push to 425 or so but wouldn't go much beyond that
 
Wasn't this pitch supposed to assist fast bowlers? I am not watching it live. We have no specialist spinner. How will this pitch behave on Day 4 or 5?

Same haven't watched it but it's a mostly dead wicket as usual in Pakistan.

Even the tinge of green in the wicket before the start of the test was dead.
 
When the weather has a say, its all more important to utilise the time you have in hand to dictate the match.

Pakistan can't really afford to draw this test and draw a 2 match series here.
 
You gotta applaud the 20-30 people that showed up in 2 days to watch in 45-50 degrees heat all while sitting on concrete floor.
 
Is this another super flat pitch? babar can't even survive 2 balls in this same pitch?

Let the quicks charge in with an intense spell then they can rest overnight and attack again in the morning.

Don’t really enjoy his fake behaviour and unnecessary theatrics, good job against Bangla Bro’s when the conditions were better, but you have to factor he is going on hype against this opponent.
 
Pakistan need to bat only once so have to bat big, why declare early and then allow BD to get closer to the first innings score and chase in the 4th innings..

Should look to bowl out BD twice..
