True. But in domestic cricket we are producing decent batsmen, but not many decent bowlers upcoming yet.
Not true. There are some decent bowling talent in Domestic cricket. Rubel Hossain, is only 18 but apparently can hit 140+ according to Ramanayake. Then there is Subashis Roy who is very consistent and hits decent pace as well. The older likes of Ziaur Rahman, Talha Jubair, Robiul Islam, Sumon Saha, Md. Shahzada etc.

The spin department is healthy as well. The highest wicket-taker this season is Sohrawadi Shuvo, former U-19 captain. Then there are the likes of Saju Dutta, Arafat Sunny, Nabil Samad, Taposh Ghosh etc.

But we haven't discoverd any batting talent this season in the NCL. Marshall Ayub and Shamsur Rahman are talented but haven't been consistent with the runs. Only consistent batsman this season has been Mahmudullah Riyad.

Superb performance from Bangladesh. It's no coincidence that when Bangladesh wins matches, or comes close to winning matches, Ashraful is usually leading the way. Say what you want about his temperament, he has the potential to be a very good batsman. They way he played Murali was telling; he looked a class ahead of all the other batsman. Well done also to Shakib, he played well.

Keep it up Bangladesh - you haven't done too badly this year. Humble beginnings, but you will get there.

thanks.

ashraful now officially owns murali and the lankan attack. 4 of his 5 centuries have come against them, with another score of 75. good thing we play them often, otherwise ash would be averaging 15 with the bat!

A commendable effort from Bangladesh in the second innings. 400 plus batting in the sub continent in the 4th innings is not to be sniffed at. Just a shame that BD batted so poorly in the first innings.

Its amazing how Murali still continues to pick up wickets even though he is not the same bowler he was.
