Azhar in double figures again!

Only once in last 18 innings he's not gotten to double figures!!!

but how lucky has he been this whole test series.

Yeh he just makes himself look like a dork. I hope he listened to how he critised the authorities for producing this kind of a pitch... He reckons a draw is more than victory for Bangladesh in tests at home...

Yeah n his support for ajmal in the first test even when every guy n his dog knows that he ain't effective anymore.

Was I?

Show me the posts....

that posts was in ODI series, when your laptop battery was running out and you forgot your charger in college Sir :)
you were saying that you want to See sami aslam and i told you ,you will him in 3rd ODI, and now we are seeing him in test too

To blabber on... this is what's wrong with Pakistani cricket. In a position to run the opposition into ground, you take off your best bowlers giving away all momentum as well as runs, then when you get them out, you refuse to follow them on when that is the option they will like least, and then when you come out to bat, you look like you are 354 behind worth your batting rate and body language. I know we are doing well in test rankings based on this siege mentality, but it has worked in home conditions only and that won't last. In overseas conditions, I shudder.

Sami is playing against 75mph bowlers on this pitch. He needs to be more positive.

RR of 1.8 an over.

I agree with decision to bat on and not enforce follow on.. but not the way they are batting now.

I think he was trying to be cheeky there... wanted Ajmal to play so that bangladeshi batsmen wd have it easy against our spinners ... For once in his life he tried to be willy .

Pakistan should boost their batting now, enough overs faced. now kindly start making runs ,

Sami is a very good batsman and will prove himself. Just needs to change his mindset. And he will. Don't worry.

every player outside team is asset,
but in the team HE is mediocre .
how impulsive PP is

Don't judge me with others. I have always maintained this stance and never supported his inclusion.

Another guy imam ul haq is rated really high when his good for nothing

no doubt, mediocre bowlers, flat pitch, tuk tuk
but don't measure caliber by only THIS.

Has no front food stride, hence is tentative with driving. If u can't drive saumu sarkar, then u don't deserve to play at this level

:four SHOT!!!!!

I expect Sami to play a few more shots now..... I hope he can make a ton.

MoHa's dismissal derailed a few plans, because he was supposed to score some quick runs.

Sami needs to stop worrying about his wicket, he is worried if he gets less than 50 in this innings, he will be dropped for the next match which is legit concern, but situation demands him to get on the front-foot more.

Azhar ali ticking over nicely, we should look to bat till close of play today and declare hopefully 550-600 ahead and then have 6 sessions at bangladesh.

We will still win this test. Its good to bat again. Make the pitch even more weary.

To be fair he has a SR of 20 at the moment and needs to get a move on. No excuse for having that SR against an 80 year old corridor bowler and a part time pie chucker.

Ultimately he has to be dropped, not good enuf.
Babar has to come in. We already hv azhar's ugly batting to contend with, don't need another one

Shhh, Hawkeye will get offended.
Sami is the next anwar sccording to him

Seems like you're badly hurt over something.

And don't make up stuff. All lefties aren't Anwar.

Expect Babar Azam to play v Sri Lanka, Sami will be dropped from the playing XI.

He is not bad but like a lot of us said before, he is not ready at the moment and should not be preferred to Babar Azam.

overall he has good technique , but dont know what happened to him in this innings, why so much useless blocking and throw your wicket.

What positives do u see, if any?

its a shame sami has failed, he needs to go and work on certain parts of his game but all isnt lost with him.

25/2

We need to start playing positivily here and not lose any momentum we have in this game.

I see the negative-line the Bangladeshi bowlers have deployed has worked for the openers.

Lead up to 385, once we can get towards 500 then bangladesh heads will drop.

anyone who has played cricketWill Surely know that even dibbly dobblers look threatening of u dont transfer or weight forward.

That was the undoing of shehzad and now sami. Hewever the former has better hand eye co ordination which let's him play like that on flat tracks but sami lacks this ability.

None at this level so far, but I've watched him for a long time now and think he is good and can succeed at this level provided he overcomes his shortcomings.

Ideally, I won't drop him for around 10 Tests because dropping him after 2-3 matches tells us nothing, but at the same time, international cricket is not a coaching clinic, it's the highest level and you have to take your opportunities, so it is a difficult situation for the selectors.

Yes he has, if you have seen him in Other matches too. and sooner you will realize , he will become a better batsman.

I hv seen him in other matches as well. He is just a poor man's shehzad, without his delusions of grandiosity

Horrible decision from Misbah to bat on. The ball is swinging and bouncing, Wahab and Juny could've easily rolled out Bangladesh batsmen Now we have 2 wickets down with a huge run rate of 2 .

I didn't reply to ur post coz I knew that u will be humbled. I hope u saw his calibre today

Ok man, you got your opinion, doesn't mean it has to be the right one. :srt

Hats off if you judged the caliber just like that. I mean, PCB should hire you.

Really? For me he is even more unimpressive than shehzad
How do u assess his technique?
For me he doesnt transfer his weight onto the front foot and when you don't do that even dibbly dobblers look threatening.
At least shehz has better hand eye which let's him get away on pan cakes

A guy that can't drive somu on a pan cake n keeps leaving four balls doesn't inspire confidence does it?

His technique is poor, but players with poor techniques have succeeded in the past and will succeed in the future. So far he has not played enough to conclude either way, and time will tell if he is another Fawad Alam (not cut for this level) or one of those industrious players who work their way around.

total waste of time by Pakistan by now we would have got 3 - 5 wickets

Azhar gone, poor batting team effort this. its almost as though we have take the 1st inns lead for granted! we need a partnership!

Don't know what good not following on did. Seems they are milking time.

Lets hope misbah and YK can guide us through this session so we can get a real match winning total.

Why are people complaining? It's only session 2 of day 3. We have got plenty of time to get them out. And this pitch isn't as dead as the one in Khulna so I'm confident that we can bowl them out in 2 days. We should look to bat till the end of the day.
