Can Rahul Gandhi become the next Prime Minister of India?

Can Rahul Gandhi become the Indian PM in Future?

Voting for BJP consists of other factors as well, the biggest one being lack of a strong opposition leader. Compared to most regional parties BJP is still a way better option.

Millions have been fooled and will continue to be fooled, that’s how the world works. Hitler, Churchill, trump etc all were able to fool millions. And let’s not even start about religious leaders who are able to fool millions.
And the religious figures of ancient times have been able to fool billions in modern day world.

So yes, public are easily fooled, does it make them idiots? I’ll leave that to you.

I have had plenty of debates in real life with people I know and eventually I came to realise that there is no use.

So the forex reserves doubling in last 9 yrs, big jump in GDP growth, massive Infrastructure buildout , India being one of only few countries whose economy was able to handle the inflation well post covid all of this is just fake news ?

Indians were intelligent and voted with wisdom on important issues like economic growth and development till 2014. After that they became gullible and brainwashed and are now voting for caste and religion and not the important things that matter.

Really curious how a wise nation turned upside down.

You forgot, Kashmir issue now almost solved, in 10 years from now there will be zero separatist/jihadi influence there..

No government in the past has been able to achieve this.

But But

Let's give our Puppu the post of PM instead, so his Italian mamma can rule India and mess it up before she dies...

lol Pseudo Seculars, gotta love em :inti

Absolutely !! Completely forgot about it my bad. There are many other notable achievements in this area of security .... for example we took out majority of all the Jihadi's that our previous spineless regime used to go pleading other countries to bring them to justice by sending "Dossiers". The entire PFI gang is locked up and for the first time Uttar Pradesh is beginning to function normally.

Also for the first time we have started to become a player in the military hardware export which was unthinkable just 10 yrs ago. And then there was the first steps towards moving away from Dollar dependence.

All that while still being burdened with providing basic needs like building toilets after 65 yrs !!!

Well, apparently its all Godi Media, brainwashing done by the evil Feku and the bhakts...

Our Puppu would have been much better leader while eating spaghetti and having endings that are happy in Thailand.

We have been testing our exports with countries like Armenia, which is crucial to see how our export quality military hardware would perform.

It is a baby step, however in 10-15 years, I believe India can take a small chunk of that Billion dollar worldwide weapons export market..

Well, apparently its all Godi Media, brainwashing done by the evil Feku and the bhakts...

I'am all for people being skeptical and not trusting everything blindly at face value but then it gets tiring when people start blatantly dodging answering simple questions. I mean how the heck does one fake $600+ Billion in Forex reserves or GDP Ranking or vaccinating 1.4 Billion people ( another incredulous achievement that I forgot !!!) ?

I want to know what these guys are smoking

Our Puppu would have been much better leader while eating spaghetti and having endings that are happy in Thailand.

More like Caviar and some fine aged Italian Champagne to wash it down lol

Everyone has done this though including Nehru, Indira, Upa1,2.

To sell a product you need a well run machinery and BJP has that for now thanks amazingly to middleclass and RSS.

Owning the narrative is the only truth everything else is just a bonus or minis depending upon where you stand.
Nehru never destroyed any institutions, in fact he built most of them.

Indira did and she paid the price.

Feku OTOH destroyed every institution he set his sights on. When will he ever pay for this?

He went scot free despite destroying so many things. Will he be ever brought to book?

Yeah for sure man. Keep thinking the way you are, one day Pakistan will liberate Kashmir 😄
Hahah... Bro yep it could happen one day but at the hands of Indian Kashmiris themselves. Pak would only play a second fiddle role.

India was already on a massive upward growth and any government would have achieved same if not slightly better or worse results.

Forex growth was already on the rise: From 2000-2014 it increased by 3-6 times or something.

Same is the growth of GDP it has constantly been on rise.

Infrastructure was also build under other governments, what is new? In fact lot of projects which finished in first term of BJP were started by regional parties or congress.
Saying that BJP implementation is much better than congress or any other party and Gadkari did a pretty good job with the highways.

I don’t even want to talk about COVID and the mismanagement and utter travesty and millions of murders indirectly committed by the government during COVID.

People voted out congress and voted in BJP for change and “ache din”, BJP did a pretty below average job just like all other previous governments, and if it was congress in power in last 15 years than BJP we would have been at the same stage we are at right now.

However, the media has turned an average performance by BJP into ram Rajya and the gullible morons have fallen for it.

Like I mentioned before which you fail to grasp past your small bubble of BJP vs Congress mindset, you should demand any government in power basic stuff,

1. Good quality food.
2. Clean air to breathe
3. Good free education
4. Good free medicare
5. Employment opportunities
6. Clean drinking water.

However, people in India generally have such low self worth of themselves that they don’t even realise they deserve all this.
Realise your own worth and start demanding the government your worth.
Stop accepting mediocrity in life.

Thats just an atrocious statement not supported by any facts at all! because it should not have taken 50+ yrs to get on a growth trajectory and No ... congress does not have that track record of doubling GDP ... certainly not at that scale. Very different to grow from 1.5 to 2.8 but quite different to go from there to 6+ in just 9 yrs. It keeps getting harder and harder as the potential is not infinite just like any Business.

Also first of all if you listen to your fellow we get told that this government has been catastrophy of epic proportions. You want to explain how such an utterly incompetent govt has managed to more than double the Forex reserves ? Either that or maybe you want to walk back or distance yourselves from the narratives peddled by your like minded friends over here.

Same is the growth of GDP it has constantly been on rise.

Same as above. Also please explain why it took nearly 50 yrs since 1947 for the country to get going ? Why are we building Toilets in 21st century ? You have an explanation for that ?

This is just plain wrong. I have actually lived thru the nightmare of roads built under decades upon decades of Congress rule at both center and state. This is just so categorically wrong that I won't even bother dignifying it with a response. If you want to discuss this topic it will have to be an absolutely honest/rational discussion.

I don’t even want to talk about COVID and the mismanagement and utter travesty and millions of murders indirectly committed by the government during COVID.

Things could have been handled better but considering what faaar more advanced countries went through I think India did a pretty good job. Especially considering that we didnt bend to the rogue Pharma behemoths and developed our own vaccine and administered it to 1+ billion people. Along the way we also helped a few countries which was quite remarkable.

Nobody is saying that the job is done. Far from it. But its very troubling and irrational to expect one govt to do something that the congress never even came even remotely close to achieving what you expect. If you do not realize why we are still in this situation after 65 yrs of independence then sadly we will keep repeating that same mistake over and over again.

To me the single biggest factory is Corruption. Without honest leaders at the top ... absolutely nothing can be achieved and thats pretty much what transpired for the vast majority of the ~60 yrs that Congress ruled since 1947.

PS: Going forward please pick one topic that you want to discuss. I cannot write lengthy responses due to time constraints and its very hard to keep track of all points. But rest assured I will respond just not immediately.

I gotta feeling our Big_Gamer is from Kerala. (Could be wrong)

Yes the land of the greatest pseudo seculars in India.

He is talking about how Kerala is not a extremist state, as far as ISIS recruits go I am not sure if there are any other states in India that have more terrorists recruits.

Kerala is apparently literate and cohesive, Kerala is so educated and enlightened that we provide/contribute so little or absolutely nothing towards the Indian economy.

If it wasn't for the NRIs that send so much money back to Kerala wonder how the all-educated literate state would be staying afloat today..

P.S. Ohhh forgot to mention, I come from this proud supposed literate state

You just proved my point that Indians lack critical thinking in general and only believe the information they are peddled without a broader understanding. All your limited mind can fathom is congress vs BJP, hence the country is still third world with poor standards of living.

First of all let’s be clear, had congress performed the way they were expected to there wouldn’t have been any other political party at national level. The fact that congress failed is the reason we have BJP. So, there’s no point discussing or comparing with congress since that’s what the political parties want you to do. We did not do our job but look the other party were worse than us.

Secondly, you just have to look at GDP/Forex charts and read articles/predictions from early 2000s to know the Indian economy would be where we are today. In fact some of the predictions by leading economists had Indian economy at a higher standard than we are today but obviously those predictions aren’t always accurate.

India introduced LPG (liberalisation/privateisation/globalisation) in early 90s. Before that the economy was in doldrums and we had already amassed massive loans. It takes decades for a change in economic policy to take long term effects. And the growth kicks in exponentially when the system builds up.

BJP PR agency and paid media have created a narrative that congress is corrupt while BJP is not. BJP is just as corrupt as congress if not more, the paid media portrayed congress as epitome of corruption to help Modi win elections, case in point Robert Vadra and A Raja. Modi in all rallies during 2014 campaign said he has all the proof of Vadras scam and will send him to jail, the media declared him a thief and public believed. After 9 years of BJP rule how many days has Vadra spent in jail?
A Raj was acquired by the Court in 2017 and said CBI case was baseless. However, by 2017 BJP had already the elections and public mindset has been brainwashed.

How many people actually know the verdict of the 2G case? You ask people and they will still say congress stole trillions of dollars.

COVID was actual murder. After the first wave, government had ample time to prepare itself. The second wave hit in european countries and we all knew it will be a devastation in India.
Yet the government was so ill prepared it was a catastrophe. Then BJP IT cell spread the propaganda that we did better than other developed nations, where as no other developed nation had dead lying on the roads or dead bodies showing up in the bank of rivers.
Millions of Young healthy People didn’t die in developed countries due to lack of oxygen.
The lack of preparation and death caused by the government during COVID was one of the biggest mass scale murders in recent time by any government.

The fact that you and others working in BJP IT cell defend BJP even if their wrong doings is only hurting yourself, your family and the country.
If you care about your country even a little bit then stop worshipping political parties even if you are paid to do it and hold them to higher standards and demand your own rights.

The fact that you and others working in BJP IT cell defend BJP .......

Do you really think I have the time to argue with strangers on the internet for a few bucks? Can't believe you said that.

Feel free to reach out to the mods and see if they can let you get in touch with me privately *IF* you really want me to prove this.

Will reply to the rest of your post tomorrow.

Ohh absolutely..

I love my pseudo seculars back in Kerala.

NRI's last stood for Non Resident Indians, it applies to not just the Indians in Gulf, maybe you weren't aware of this.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you might be actually paid to do this job.

No need to reply, spare your research team the time to dig out irrelevant and skewed data making your team look better than the other crooks in opposition.

Ahhh so you are doubling down on the accusation that I work for the BJP IT Cell. Now clearly you didn't approach the mods as I suggested so Iam going to use some very basic logical thinking to address this concern because in order to have a honest and meaningful discussion it is necessary for me to establish that I don't work for BJP IT cell.

Here is a link to a interview of a 2nd tier ex-BJP IT CELL employee ( not a foot soldier BTW as he has pictures with some prominent BJP leaders ) : LINK

The timestamp I have linked in the URL takes you to the discussion about salary that guy makes which is 1000 Rupees per day( BTW the starting salary is much lower). That works out to 30K Rupees per month. Now I have about 552 posts on PP as of this moment and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that these people get paid to post on prominent Social media sites like FB,IG,Twitter,Quora etc. Not a Cricket website like PP which has negligible reach in India. Furthermore give me the name of your favorite legit Non-BJP affiliated charitable organization in India and I will donate 30K Rupees to that charity and post the receipt over here for evidence.

Now since you have mentioned Critical thinking in one of your posts, I suggest you to do some critical thinking based on the above information and let me know what conclusions you arrive at. Fair ?

Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' To Cover 100 Lok Sabha, 337 Assembly Segments

Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' will start from Imphal on January 14 and cover a distance of 6,713 kilometres, straddling 100 Lok Sabha constituencies and 337 assembly segments and covering 110 districts, Congress general secretary in-charge Communications, Jairam Ramesh said on Thursday.

Earlier, on Thursday, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge chaired a meeting of the PCC presidents, CLP leaders and AICC general secretaries and in-charges of states.
The meeting was also attended by former party president Rahul Gandhi.

Ramesh said the meeting on Thursday had two issues on its agenda -- preparations for the general elections this year and the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra', which is to be launched by Rahul from Imphal on January 14.

The march will culminate in Mumbai in March 20 or 21.
He said that there was a unanimous view that the momentum generated by the Bharat Jodo Yatra and the transformation it brought to Indian politics, needed to be carried forward.

"The Yatra will start from Imphal on January 14 and will conclude in Mumbai on March 20 or 21. It will cover a distance of 6,713 kilometres, mostly by bus. Rahul Gandhi will also walk on some stretches along the Yatra route. In the 15 states, it will cover 100 Lok Sabha constituencies and 337 assembly segments involving 110 districts," he said.

Referring to the theme 'Nyay' of the 'Yatra' he said, it had been drawn from the Constitution, which, in the Preamble, speaks for 'Justice' including social, economic and political justice for the people of the country.
"The 'Nyay Yatra' will spend a maximum of eleven days in Uttar Pradesh where it will travel a distance of 1,074 kilometres, covering 20 districts. The 15 states that will be covered by the 'Nyay-Yatra' include Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra," he added.

When Pakistanis are wanting Raul Puppu in power. You know PM Modi is doing something well.

Do you love Narendra more than you hate Rahul? Or do you hate Rahul more than you love Narendra?

Being an NRI, have you voted in any election - Lok or Vidhan Sabha - in your life?

What are the measures you take - online and offline - to support the BJP?

Do you love Narendra more than you hate Rahul? Or do you hate Rahul more than you love Narendra?
It may come across as I hate Puppu, but in reality, I don't, to be brutally honest everytime I see his face I can't help but start laughing. Puppu is a victim/beneficiary of his circumstance, it is not his fault that he was born without a brain or that he needs to be spoken to at a 5 year old's level so he can comprehend what is happening around him.

However, I do hate my dear ammayi Sonya, the way she mistreated Monmohan Singh when he was the PM, her corruption and her zero loyalty to the country.

What is scary in all this is; how dumb millions of the Indians are to honestly believe Raul Puppu who barely know how to tie his shoelace can lead a nation of a billion..

Being an NRI, have you voted in any election - Lok or Vidhan Sabha - in your life?

So I need to vote in an Indian election to form an opinion on why I support BJP? lol 😆

As mentioned above, if millions of Indians are dumb enough to put the country's fate in Puppu's/Italian Waitress's hands, I am sure I will be fine expressing my thoughts on Indian politics without voting.

Problem is a lot of pseudo seculars and leftists starts wetting their pants and crying foul when I give my thoughts and I love it and to the day I die my middle finger will be shown right to their faces.

What are the measures you take - online and offline - to support the BJP?

I have given my opinion on this quite a lot and I am not going to repeat it.. No BJP is not perfect, and NO PM Modi is not without faults, however he has done plenty of good things that has caught my attention for the better and I believe he is greatest PM India has ever had, leave it at that...

Bold..

No one hates Rahul Gandhi since he has done nothing wrong, we just laugh at him for his constant jokes. We also think he is a good guy but just not PM meterial to lead a country like India. Forget about us, his own party don't want him to become PM and that why put Kharge ji's name as potential prime minister candidate.

OP wants RaGa to become PM not bcoz he loves Rahul, rather it is the hatred for Modi. He want Modi to be defeated somehow so that the enormous developement India is seeing in every sector can be stopped and it becomes a struggling economy like Pakistan.

Rahul Gandhi has never become even a chief minister or a municipal head. Last election he lost even his MP seat from Amethi and had to run to Kerala to save himself. And he wants to become the PM suddenly just bcoz he is son of Rajiv Gandhi and grandson of Indira?

Only a fool or an India hater would want Rahul as next PM of India. I know you are neither of those...so wondering why you want him as your next leader?

What an awful logic! It’s ok to call people from Pak as Modi haters but what about those millions of Indians who vote for parties other than bjp. Are they all “fool” or just the bjp fanboys the wise men around. Recently Telangana preferred Congress over BJP so by your logic the whole Telangana would be branded as state of “fools” and mad guys.

Being an NRI, have you voted in any election - Lok or Vidhan Sabha - in your life?

Bhakts have this deficiency of IQ, they can't help it. It stems from their master who can't conjure a single logical sentence without the help of his spin doctors and teleprompter.

There is a reason why he never did a single unscripted press conference. One time he did an unscripted interview was with Karan Thapar and he simply ran away from that.

Rahul, for all his faults doesn't hide behind his advisors and has already taken more unscripted questions in last year or so than feku ever will in his 100 lives.

Winning state election is different from national election. BJP had no footprint in Telangana, people were upset with KCR and wanted an alternative. That is how congress came into power. Similarly in Karnataka, people were fadeup with local BJP govt and voted for congress. These are anti incumbency vote and not necessaily an endorsement for Rahul Gandhi.

When people vote for PM of a country and they see Rahul infront of a statesman like Modi, only a fool would vote for Modi. That is all I am saying. And that is why Congress themselves, Mamata Banerjee and Kejriwal has given name of Mallikarjun Khadke as PM face instead of Rahul.

You (unfortunately) know nothing abt Indian politics. Happy to teach you more sometime, time permitting.

Hahah... 'Modi a statesman' 😂😂🤣. You are hilarious man if you will teach such things to me then I too would look funny😁

Modi's run may seem good to right wingers now but eventually it will just tore done the basics of Indian democracy and Indian secular traditions.
Not a fan of Rahul Gandhi; he is lazy, opportunistic and frankly boring but I don't consider him the grave threat to Indian democracy that Modi is. RG isn't vindictive and poisonous like the current leader of India

Modi's run may seem good to right wingers now but eventually it will just tore done the basics of Indian democracy and Indian secular traditions.
This I agree with, having PM Modi at helm is grave danger for the survival of pseudo secularism in the country..

Only time basics of Indian democracy were tore down was by Indira Gandhi when she imposed emergency for 2 years.
lol and you think democracy isn't being shred to pieces during last decade? Its far more in danger than it ever was in our independent history. The way all our great institutions are losing credibility under this regime is not a pretty sight.

Even CAG which was independent under UPA has now become just a lame duck. Its being led by Girish Murmu who was principal secy to feku during his CM days. Does that ring a bell?

Emergency was just a 2 year phenomenon. This undeclared emergency is like never ending.

Democracy died when voters were demeaned with slurs for having the audacity to vote for someone the sickulars hate.

India was NEVER a secular country....I have said this multiple times. In the name of secularism, congress did minority appeasement for years. The demography of Indian subcontinent meaning it can never have European style liberal democracy. And now even European countries are slowly realizing the grave disservice this has done and hence the talk of mass deportation etc.

You are from Pakistan right? Why don't you ask Pakistan to be a secular country and set by example for others to follow? You want your country to remain an Islamic republic but India has to be a secular state. Wah kya logic hai. This hypocrisy has worked for many years but people are no longer going to get fooled by that. There is a reason after serving as PM for almost 10 years, Modi's popularity rating among Indians living in India is still hovering around 80%. When Manmohan Singh was in his 7th year (2011) people were in streets to vote him out via Anna Hazare movement. The kind of popularity, trust and affection that Modi enjoys is unheard of. You may laugh it off and say he is not a statesman etc. but can't hide from the truth.

Maybe BaldEagle doesn't want Pakistan to be an Islamic state. I guess he'll have to clarify..

Ohh absolutely..

I love my pseudo seculars back in Kerala.

NRI's last stood for Non Resident Indians, it applies to not just the Indians in Gulf, maybe you weren't aware of this.

Go to Kerala and start buildings some industries there. Walk the talk.

I am not a duplicitous person like you guys and your leader Modi. I never claimed that Pakistan should be a secular country neither Pak's founder Jinnah claimed so. The Muslims of subcontinent campaigned for a Islamic republic and they get one in the end. As appears regarding your lack of knowledge regarding Islamic Republic, it's such a state in which there is no discrimination on basis of religion. Acknowledge the condition in Pakistan are not ideal for minorities but they are having a100 times better time in Pakistan than India.

Why I called your 'statesman' modi hypocrite because he also calls for a secular india but deep inside want the hindu majoritarian nationalism. See the link below.

Oof I don't know how to respond to this, never mind .. we live in alternate planes of reality. :stokes

Manmohan Singh was a very good PM he has put down his foot on multiple bills that were passed that benefitted us from Nuclear to RTI.

We can acknowledge his legacy, he always saw the bigger picture.
Educate us how has the nuclear deal benefited you? The deal wasn't some benevolent gesture by US but as part of the deal India was to buy and commission 6 nuclear reactors from US. Deal was signed in 2008, how many US nuclear reactors since then? zero. You will blame modi post 2014 but how about 6 years from 2008 onwards until 2014, answer is still zero. Problem with Congress leaders was they only needed US's shabaashi to feel good about them, they hardly had any foreign policy but to align with whatever US days. With modi there's hardly anything he has done wrong wrt foreign policies.

When I read posts like this, the more I realise why Pakistan was doomed from the time of its creation.

Proof is in the pudding, your country is in such a wonderful mess that it will never climb out of it. 👏 congrats.

You keep living in your own little world, keep going just the way you are, well done again..

Already tried back in early 2000s but the pseudo seculars there made sure the factory was closed down.

So now I do charitable things like sending money to them so they can stay afloat.

😇

Can you list just one instance of MMS going against Sonia? If not, then what do you mean by him putting down his foot on bills?

His legacy is that he remained a puppet PM, who had to toe the party line despite corruption by his ministers. Even as finance minister, his legacy is wrongly portrayed. When India had to mortage its gold, it had been ruled by one family for its entire duration, except for two years by Janta Party. And opening the economy was not a eureka moment, but what was being asked for a long time while the congress kept delaying it (sometimes because of their alliance with commies). And when there was no choice left, it was Rao who finally gave the go ahead, and deserves credit because it was a minority govt.

And the licence raj permit removal was not done by MMS. It was by another ministry not held by him. MMS under Rao vs MMS under Sonia were two different things. If he had shown some spine, maybe Modi would not have been elected.

State elections in ind are different from national elections. Pappu rahul in the national elections for congress got 52 vs bjp 300. State elections are completely different than national elections. They have state related local issues and state local politicians. The chief ministers will be local politicians. Still the pappu gandhi family try to handpick their candidate for the CM post. A puppet guy is who they prefer. Also local states have local parties that are strong in addition to Congress and bjp

Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' expected to enter J'khand between Feb 2 and 5

Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' expected to enter J'khand between
Ranchi, Jan 7 (PTI) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' is expected to enter Jharkhand between February 2 and 5, a senior party leader said on Sunday.

The yatra is likely to be held in two phases in Jharkhand, during which it will cover 804 km in 13 districts in a total of eight days, he said.

The 6,713-km yatra from Manipur to Mumbai is set to start on January 14. It will pass through 110 districts in 15 states, covering 100 Lok Sabha seats and 337 assembly segments.

Briefing reporters here about the yatra, Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur said, "Rahul Gandhi's yatra is expected to enter the state between February 2 and 5. The route chart comprising his meeting venues and places of public rallies is being finalised, and it will be made public in two to three days."

He said the yatra will start from strife-torn Manipur on January 14 to "ensure justice to the people who have been ignored by the prime minister and the Union home minister".

To be honest, India needs some change but it's not going to come from the Congress or Rahul Gandhi. As a party, they have no connection with the public or strategy (beyond opposition to Modi) at the national level.

Modi has been reasonably competent in an economic and foreign policy sense (except for the odd demonetisation or obsession with assasinating irrelevant Sikh expats). He has however been pretty bad for India in a social sense

- Deepening wedges between the majority and minorities that will have long term implications

- Reducing media freedoms and free speech

All in all, I think he's just one more of a bunch of authoritarian figures who've emerged in world politics over the last 10 years - Trump, Bolsonaro, Xinping etc. and it will take a change in the national mood and/or a charismatic opposition leader to unseat him. Certainly not the likes of Rahul Gandhi.

Very glad to see that even Indians are realizing that Modi is not a good option and they do need alternative. I just pray for you guys now because I feel many other guys will now come against you people for expressing your heartfelt choice.

The truth is that though I voted against the BJP/Modi in my home state elections and was happy when they were soundly beaten, I'll probably end up voting for them when the National elections come around. The alternative is to actually vote against development which is what we need more than anything today. The opposition has painted itself into an anti-corporate, anti-liberalisation, pro-subsidies corner in order to show themselves in contrast to the government in power. Though they're unlikely to implement much of the nonsense their campaign manifestos promise, it's not worth taking the risk.

I don't like Modi because he is too left wing from my ideology. He was necessary, but we need someone better.

Manipur govt 'declined' permission to Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Imphal, claims Congress

Congress claimed on Wednesday that the Manipur government has “declined" to give permission to Rahul Gandhi to commence his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ from Imphal East district. The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ was scheduled to begin on January 14 from Hatta Kangjeibung in the Imphal East district in Manipur. Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president Keisham Megachandra said the decision was “unfortunate" and “violation of people's rights", according to PTI.

“We met Chief Minister N Biren Singh and sought permission for the venue of 'Bharat Joro Nyay Yatra' at Hatta Kangjeibung in Imphal East district from where the rally is scheduled to be flagged off. However, the chief minister has declined to permit the same," Keisham Megachandra said.

A "critial" law and order situation has prevailed in Manipur ever since ethnic violence broke out in the state in May 2023. The second leg of Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' is set to begin on January 14 .

Chief Minister N Biren Singh had said on Tuesday that the matter is under "active consideration" and a decision will be taken on it after receiving reports from security agencies. Addressing the reporters on the sidelines of an event, Biren Singh said the law and order situation in Manipur is "very critical".

When asked about giving permission to Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra', a foot march of thousands, Biren Singh said, "Giving permission to Rahul Gandhi's rally is under active consideration. We are taking reports from various security agencies. After receiving reports from them, we will take a concrete decision."

What is the worst policy decision implemented by the BJP in the last 10 yrs and the impact of it on Freedom of Speech and social harmony ?

@uppercut

Our resident pseudo secular does not want you to back up your posts with data, cause it will be too much for his sensitive heart that only accepts leftist point of views.....

😂

You were right ... was a matter of time.

But I suppose our fake secular friends will tell us that all of this latest news on Vibrant Gujrat Summit is completely fake as well and the handiwork of the evil BJP IT Cell lol : https://economictimes.indiatimes.co...e-news-updates-pm-modi/liveblog/106681456.cms

Rahul Gandhi to stay in Odisha for four days during ‘Nyay Yatra’ next month

Addressing a press conference, Rout said, "We are expecting that the yatra will be held in Odisha during the second and third week of February before its enters neighbouring Chhattisgarh."

Though the programme is scheduled to cover 341km in four districts, the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has requested the central leadership to include few more districts within the state, he said.

Asked whether the yatra would cover coastal and southern regions of the state, Rout said the senior Congress leader will certainly visit those parts of the state later through other programmes.

"The party plans to organise a major rally in Bhubaneswar, likely to be addressed by Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge," he informed.

Interestingly, the yatra route covers the western region of the state, which is popularly known as the saffron belt of Odisha.

Congress is, however, comparatively in a better position in the southern parts of the state covering Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Rayagada districts.

The yatra will culminate in Mumbai after covering a distance of over 6,700km, passing through 110 districts of 15 states including Odisha in 66 days, Rout said.

The party is optimistic that the yatra will boost the morale of Congress leaders and workers ahead of the Lok Sabha and assembly polls in Odisha since the had party slipped to the third position from second in the last assembly polls in 2019.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha and assembly polls, the Congress had won nine of the 147 MLA seats and only one MP seat in Odisha. This year, the party has set a target of winning at least 90 MLA seats and a good number of LS seats in the polls.

The real face of Congress ... open support for any non-hindu religious ceremonies but contempt for anything Hindu. Despicable scumbags.

Pretty sure these guys will be 1st in line to inaugurate the new Masjid at Ayodhya when the time comes.
It appears you are unhappy with Congress's every leftist action and want them to become the B team of BJP. India already had many right wing parties so someone needs to be the voice of reason.

Leftists are a cancer, but Congress is a centrist party thankfully. It is just that they are getting desperate the longer they stay out of power. Otherwise, when in power, they have been centrist and sometimes right wing.

The only thing people should be outraged about is that it is Teresa who was being honored. Many are unaware of her true face.

Why should the Congress attend a heavily politicised issue like the Ram Mandhir inauguration that the BJP cynically uses to gain poltical capital and appease its hindutva base ?

You are so naive about Indian politics that I find it cute.

How is inauguration of Ram temple is a political issue? Ayodhya is the birth place of Lord Rama and billions of hindus want a temple there. Congress govt didnt do anything when they were in power for the minority vote bank. And now when BJP govt is finally opening the temple, it is political?

Good that Congress rejected this 'invitation'. Finally, they grew some spine. This is an out and our sanghi sponsored event, aimed solely at garnering votes in forthcoming lok sabha elections.

Lol, the construction of temple isn't even complete and may take another year or so but he has to inaugurate it just like he does with all his vanity projects.

I absolutely detest the way sanghis are projecting this as home coming from Lord Rama. Was Lord Rama homeless before this?

It is also being projected by jobless sanghis that feku has provided Lord Rama a home to live in!

Really? Are the gullible people blindly following feku so clueless about Lord Rama so much so that they believe whatever garbage feku feeds them about Lord Ram?

The Lord Ram whom I worship isn't dependent on someone, let alone a thug like feku to provide him home.

Lol at sanghis to project it as some sort of treason by Congress.

Of course, it is political. Congress not doing anything was also for political reasons, I don't deny it.

Both these parties are exploiting their religious bases for politics, the only difference is the BJP acted illegally, tearing down the the Babri Masjid in 1992 via a hindutva mob and promising to build a temple there.

For starters, read that article by Hitchens on teresa (Mommie dearest)

Make an argument instead of pointing to articles or videos.

I know Hitchens wrote an unkind book on Mother Teresa called the 'Missionary position' but I've seen articles that counter it as well.

What is her true face ? That she was an excessively pious woman ?

Her true face? taking money from dictators and thieves to fill up the coffers of the catholic church.

eg. taking money from haitian dictator and praising him while hatiians were suffering heavily.

Keating five SL scandal: One the biggest fraud scandals at the time in 80's. she was sticking up for the criminal becos he was "catholic" and donated money to her church while ripping of the public. but refused return the donation whcih would have helped poor people who got ripped

she was wiling to let people die with nothing more than ibuprofen in calcutta while genarating millions using them and glorified their suffering. saying that is the way it die.

When it was her turn to die, she opted for a luxurious hospital instead to joining the others in calcutta

she was a fraud and an evil woman
