Cricinfo have no interest at all in this series. There is not even a preview for the match!

Who do you think will play and who won't? Can Pakistan pull of a victory without Inzamam, Yousuf, Younis, Asif, Akhtar, and possibly Gul?

Post all match updates/comments here.

Why would Gul be not playing?

Anyways, yes Pakistan can indeed pull it off. But it will be a little harder. In the last match, Pakistan managed quite easily without Inzamam and Younis, and Yousuf didn't play and special part either.

He has a bruised ankle, ahsan. It was reported that Sami might be playing instead.

It will be nice to see what our team will do without the BIG guns and how will Razzak approach the match ,will he be attacking or defensive captain.

There are stories that Abdul Rehman will sit out this game. I think he should play as many games as he can. This wicket is suppose to be a batting paradise so I think this will give us a perfrect opportunity to see how he performs in such conditions. Last 2 games pitches were bowler friendly. If they make him sit, it will be another stupid decission on managment part

Looking foward to see how our young guns play.. been a while we are playing without senior players.

Big test for our batsman today. They'll take plenty of confidence if they can put up a good showing. A win for us would be a tremondous effort considering that 5 first-choicers are out of the game.

Well we've won the toss and are batting. Interesting decision and a big test!

Finally, they put up a preview.

Razzaq chooses to bat!

Pakistan v West Indies, 4th ODI, Multan

Inzamam likely to miss out

Injured Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is unlikely to play at his home ground in Multan in the fourth ODI against the West Indies on Wednesday. "My injury has improved but I will make a final decision in the morning," Inzamam said.

Inzamam injured the little finger of his left hand when he dived at cover to stop a full-blooded aerial drive from Marlon Samuels during the third match at Lahore and received three stitches. Apart from Inzamam, Pakistan will be without Mohammad Yousuf, who will stay in Lahore to be with his pregnant wife, and Younis Khan, whose brother recently passed away. Abdul Razzaq, the allrounder, will lead the team if Inzamam pulls out.

The spate of absences has resulted in a recall for Shahid Afridi and Faisal Iqbal, the middle-order batsman. "We have called up Shahid Afridi and Faisal Iqbal and hope that the youngsters take this opportunity and help Pakistan wrap up the series, but for that they will have to work hard," said Inzamam, whose team lead the five-match series 2-0.

Afridi was dropped after the Champions Trophy, the first time in two years for anything other than an injury or suspension. But he has struck a rich vein of form in domestic cricket for Habib Bank and lies third in the bowling averages after five games with 22 wickets at an average of under ten. And despite starting poorly with the bat, he has just hit a 91-ball hundred in the ongoing game against WAPDA, whose attack includes Mushtaq Ahmed and Shabbir Ahmed. He scored a fifty in a low-scoring first-innings total and also picked up three wickets.

Iqbal, 24, has played 17 Tests and ODIs for Pakistan, with a hundred in each form of the game. Though he last played a Test against England this summer - he hit an unbeaten 58 in Pakistan's only innings of the controversial Oval Test - he has not featured in ODI colours since October 2003.

Pakistan won the second match at Faisalabad by a narrow margin of two wickets before recording an emphatic seven-wicket win in the third match in Lahore. The first match was washed out in Rawalpindi.

Bennett King, the West Indies coach, said his team remained motivated despite the fact that they can at best only level the series. "The boys look forward to the fourth match and are determined to make sure they finish this leg of the tour with two wins," King said.

He added that Pakistan's loss of key players was not a factor. "I look at what we have in the team and we need to control Pakistan to win the match and once we go out we will do that rather than thinking of their combination." King also hoped that key batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who has yet to play in the one-day series, would return after recovering from a knee injury.

Thanks alot man seems like an enjoyable site

Looks like a good batting trac ,and specially when afridi is slotted to open ,would be intresting to watch.

Wait, why is Abdul Rehman dropped? Just to make room for Afridi?

Pretty much for Pak:

In is Afridi, Iqbal, And Sami.
Out is: Yousuf, Younis, Inzi, Gul, rehman.

afridi is opening? that seems really unfair to hafeez and farhat considering they were doing well

Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Yasir Hameed, Faisal Iqbal, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Abdul Razzaq, Naved-ul-Hasan, Iftikhar Anjum, Mohammad Sami

LMP Simmons, CH Gayle, S Chanderpaul, MN Samuels, BC Lara, DR Smith, RS Morton, D Ramdin, IDR Bradshaw, DB Powell, D Mohammed

Interestingly, Dave Mohammad is playing.

Rehman was tested and we found out he is good enough to take to South Africa, me thinks.

why Sami & Faisal playing ? why not give another new bowler and batsman a chance ?
Why poor Abdul Rehman bee dropped ?

I think it's more so the fact he proved his worth, he'll be going to SA and in the starting 11 there.

Now it's time to see who else steps up, so they decided to drop him; should also keep SA from getting a lot of film on him.

I am glad to see afridi back into the side ,but not sure about resting Rehman ,he is been doing great with the ball.

Afridi opening..... wow.

Well I'll support him, PLEASE play yourself in yaar.

I bet it was Razzaq BEAST who came up with Afridi opening! :D

For his sake Afridi better perform, the pitch looks good so its just down to him keeping him cool

Windies have a weakened bowling attack this game.

Play has been held up because there is a yellow cable hanging in front of the sight screen. It looks like it is the cable of Radio Pakistan and the debutant umpire Zamir Haider is already into the action

Zamir Haider making his debut.

Razzaq clearly not having any faith in his bowing(attack) ! Decides that its best to bat and get some big runs!

Thats just not Afridi

And now hes out :12:

what an idiot this guy is....

we have asim kamal who scores run everytime he goes out and can not be pick in the team..and this idiot is brought back into the team coz he score some useless runs against wapda team..

Was it a good delivery of a lapse by Afridi?
Powell to Afridi, out Bowled!! Full delivery on the middle and leg, Afridi looks to flick it away, the ball cuts away from the right hander, beats the bat and the off stump has been knocked back, Afridi's comeback hasn't been effective but Powell has come back into the side with a bang

Thats pakistan's cricket for ya............ go figure

and guys like Kamran Abasi were so upset why this idiot was dropped from the team...

To be fair to afridi that was an outstanding delivery, pitched on leg stump and hit off-stick.

When somebody is bowling leg-spinners at 141 K, it is obviously difficult.

Afridi on the other hand should have played straight.

To be fair to Afridi, it was a lovely delivery.

That's some comfort. At least he didn't go out looking to smash it all the way to Antartica.
