Proper Test match fast bowling. If we had a fast bowlers' identification and development programme like Australia, we would be doing so much better.
 
Seaming all over the place. 250 a good score?
 
Bairstow already up for England. How are they going to save this test.

Poor on Crawley. He got bowled twice the same way. How do you not make the adjustment after the first let off.
 
India has shown the incredible bench strength they have , no matter who misses the game , the next player performs.

just back of a length stuff. NOthing drivable, cuttable. At 141 kph. Ball just speeds of the deck. That is what extra pace can do
 
Man Akash Deep is such a huge upgrade over Mukesh Kumar and prasidh Krishna. Get him ready for Australia tour .

He is a good bowler. Of the pitch he is very quick. I have only seen him in IPL. But he has definitely improved since i last saw him. That is Australian pitch length. He is going to be very handy there.
 
Siraj is leaking runs .43 out of 83 conceded by siraj .

Ashwin introduced way too late. Siraj got 2 overs too many.

This is make or break game for Bairstow. He is another guy who is slipping under the radar respite his mediocre performance.

There was no doubt that it was out but Umpiring so far in this innings is very pathetic
 
Really poor umpiring today in this session.

So Stokes' negative comments about umpiring did have long term vision.
 
Would be great to get Stokes too before lunch.

Wicket of Root will do just as fine.

just 1 test. And Suryakumar Yadav was already a part of test squad on Eng tour in 2021. Rohit wasn't even a captain there. So stop with your conspiracy theories. You are moaning on Suryakumar playing just 1 test. Rohit was phenomenal in the World Cup. He is an ODI great. After WC, he hasn't played any ODIs. He was called back for T20Is because the guy who was projected as permanent captain got injured.

This is going to be tricky pitch as match progress .England is not used easiest batting conditions of the match .
I reckon 250+ is good score

His pinned plumb in front by one that keeps low from Jadeja and he's certainly not hanging around to review that one.
 
Ever since India started setting defensive in-out fields their bazball has taken a confused route. There is a definite risk with that kind of field set. When you get out press will hound you.
 
One out of five wicket was due to pitch ,all others wicket were either on good balls or thrown away.
 
Dream Debut so far for AKash Deep. India is on top so far.

Akash was the difference and then that double-strike to spin late in the session a real sickener. A score of 250 plus will be the target.
 
Why hasn't Stokes been censured yet for questioning umpires repeatedly in this series? Is it allowed now?

Yeah benefit of doubt going to Root is fine. We should have at least been allowed to keep the review

India has adapted beautifully to England's one dimensional Bazball approach
 
Rod Tucker is a good umpire but do we have to always put up with Dharmsena?

Rohit and kohli does not deserve a place in limited format .we should have a team for the future. Jaiswal/Sai are the future and Rohit/Kohli are past and should be left out.sky in 21 tour is t20 inspired selection after gabba and sky under rohit is pure preference. It doesnt matter 1 test or not,rohit should have preferred sarfaraz which helps team.
 
Bairstow was looking so good, shouldn't have thrown it away.
Root looking so much better when he isn't bazballing.
