We have to back an youngster than a about to retire player .Jaiswal /Sai are more than a decent players to replace rohit in any format.Sai,Jaiswal and Gill will be the top 3 for next odi /t20 wc . we are not playing odis for next couple of years. So it doesn't make sense the oldies to play the available limited games.

Gill have not played in SA odis mate.Gaikwad played in 2 odis and patidar one.Jaiswal have not played any odi till now.Why does Sr matter for u in odi, if a batsman occupies the crease till 40 overs it never matters and sai is an young batsman. Rohit with all his Sr drama won't last more thank 10 overs for 80 percent of the matches.So why can't we bring srikanth, sehwag in place of rohit,if Sr only matters?We can ask a dummy batsmen to maintain Sr of 200 and last for 3 ,4 balls .Sr never matters in odi unless u bat for long for 20 ,30 overs with that explosive Sr .Gill & Sai opened against SA (Patidar opened in the last match). We can give chance to a youngster to improve,sai scored a hundred in his first ipl final and got a big match temperament. If not him ,we can get pant or someone else to try it out.There is nothing wrong to keep on looking for the best alternatives. I don't want an about to be retired oldie to occupy an youngster place.we should replace rohit, kohli at some point of time in limited formats.
