Hafeez gone, our young guys just can't handle the pressure that comes with responsibility, and to think some people wanted Inzi dropped.

Apparently, he has a petulant nature and hates his team. Go figure!

Back to this game - we need a good solid 20 overs partnership to get things back on track.

Malik is our last hope of a partnership. I was very critical of Hameed but under the situation he is playing a good knock so far. Inshallah he will keep it up.

I was thinking razzak would follow in great Khan's footstep and come to bat himself. We all know in time of crises Imran never shyed away to come down the order and bat. But heu we are talking about razzak after all.

We take the big man for granted, looks like a Razzy special and the tail chipping is our only hope.

surprising to see Faisal at 6, considering he is one of the few specialist batsmen in the team today.

Pakistan has not unearthed a special batting talent after Yousuf ..and that was almost a decade ago ..so in the last 10 years or so ..no batsman has come up the ranks

what pathetic nonsense from pakistan batting....i feel bad for these supporters...came to see their team play and they are getting to see some crap batting....

I wouldn't be suprised if Iqbal gets out to Lendl Simmons.

I knew people would lose hope already. We are 2-0 up and the game is NOT over yet. Stop with the wrist slitting.

Upto the Bhanjay now to save Pakistan from humilation.

Let us root for the Bhanja :26:

These guys can't stand upto WI bowlers on Pakistani Pitches - All the best in SA guys ..These "pseudo batsmen" will be hunted down with no place to hide ... should provide some succour to Indians

Wrist slitters are in full force, today. The game is NOT over. You will be made to look like a fool, if and when we win.

Easa is not about wrist slitting, do we have a choice. The game is heading down with the head, what else we should do. The team should give us some hope

I like your enthusiasm. I hope you are right!!

Personally I don't think Hafeez or Farhat should be in the 1-day team. Hafeez was recalled on the basis of his 180 odd in Australia in what was a 4 day game. Theres no doubt that Hafeez should be our test opener, as he has a good technique and plays out the new ball, but I feel like he was accomadated into our 1-day team in the hope that he would fit in. Farhat should be no where near the team, in either form of the game. I maintain that I would select my grandma over him.
So which openers should we use in the 1-day form? I believe we should choose between Akmal, Butt, and Hameed, with the former two in for serious and long term consideration. For the tests I'd go with Butt and Hafeez. Temperment wise, those two are our best bets.

Even if Faisel scores a century, he should be dropped, the guy can't even play a pie thrower like Smith.

Good fightback from Pakistan. Hameed is on 44, Faisal on 19.

91/4 (29)

we shouldnt blame the players for this collapse

have no idea why pakistan decided to change this batting order and not stuck with farht and hafeez as openers

we gonna struggle to reach 200 at this rate

we have sami for the windies collapses though

yasir hameed looks like a really selfish guy. He is only worried about himself. He dosnt even walk to his partner to have a chat discuss what are they going to do.

Afridi is suited to bat at the middle of the innings between 20-35 overs range when make shift bowlers like dave mohammad and likes are bowling.
Of course if you put seamers or good spinners and then it is a different story.

Both of these players staking a claim. And Yasir especially so, with his average nearing 40.

Hameed is playing one of the typical Rameez innings, make a century or 50 but make sure your team does not get a big score because you bat so sloowwwww :31:

hopefully razzaq doesnt come in till 38th over

get his eye in from overs 38-40

then explodes

but i guess we' would rather take hameed getting a 50 off hundred balls rather than being 40-5

Good point. Those two should have opened with Hameed at 3, Malik at 4, Faisal at 5, Afridi at 6 and so on...

Faisal should have stayed for spinners to come on ...he is a better player of spin compare to Yassir

You have to give Hameed credit. Everyone else failed but he is still hanging in there. Well played, sir.

Hameed is loser. Faisal gone caught. He was only one who was able to up the rate. I have no hope with Yasir. Selfish bloke

Iqbal gone for 30, Powell picks up his 3rd.

109/5, time for Razzler I think.

Noooo...
I wish it was Hameed not Iqbal. He seemed to be playing quite nicely.
Well it is Popeye time now

Faisal played well guys. Imagine he came back after a long time to play international cricket. Dont know why Haffez was moved from opening. To fit Afridi. ha ha ha.

And now Popeye comes before Akmal. What a joke.

i dont know what i will do if razzaq gets out before the 40th over

we wont make 200 here i know that for a fact

razzak is a joke man...wht a change of order ... i think so he will open the bowling with hafeez or afridi too

they just played Jazba Junoon during the drinks break, if that doesnt work I dont know what will

His innings isnt over yet. Acceleration comes toward the latter part. Judge an innings after its completion.

That was some brilliant shot by Hameed. Hope he accelerates now, and gets a 100.

34.6 Powell to Yasir Hameed, FOUR, Violence! Hammed waltzes down the track, backs away from the leg stump in the process and slaps the fullish delivery through extra cover.

This ground is huge so expecting to hit out in the end will be expecting too much. I hipe they keep rotating and pick up the odd fours.

Spinners are choking the runs. One of these two is going to try something very soon...

I told you guys this ground is just too big to hit out. Only few like Razzak and Afridi may hit out others will have to make runs the hardway.

I have seen this before Hameed just can't clear the boundaries when ball is old. Not strong enough. But over all he played decent.

where does Pakistan find these crappy batsmen there isn't a single player who can hit big shots. They attempt their first big shot and it ends up in the hands of a fielder.

seriously lofty it out should not be an option now ...they can wait till the last 5 overs. ground shots should be the focus

Look at teh bright side. Atleast they are playing Maahiya during the break.
