Current Combined Test XI of India and Pakistan

This is an old but never a bore topic to discuss.
Current India and Pakistan teams would be making a great XI with great mix of batter and bowlers.


Top Order:-

1.Abdullah Shafique
Very young career but promising one. He has shown a great technique and temperament against Aussies and Bangladesh.

2.Rohit Sharma
An average of 45 justify his place in this team. High quality century in England further prove his case. He is also the captain of this team.

3.Babar Azam
Babar is currently one of the best all format batsman. His test reputation is on upward curve with fantastic batting display against Cummins and co.


Middle Order :-

4.Virat Kohli
Though he is out of form from past few month, his legacy is enough to pick him in any team.

5.Rishabh Pant
A truely match winning players who is recently promoted to number 5. Pant can change course of any match within a session. A must have player in any team.

6.Mohammad Rizwan
Wicketkeeper of this team. Probably the most in formed batsman now a days.


All rounders and spinners:-

7.Ravindra Jadeja
No. 1 all-rounder in rankings. A terrific player in all 3 facets of the game.

8.Ravichandran Ashwin
Currently the greatest spin bowler in the world. A clever bowler who is effective on almost every surfaces.


Pacers :-

9.Mohammad Shami
Underrated servant of Indian team. Shami is architect of many famous Indian wins in recent times.

10.Shaheen Shah Afridi
ICC player of the year, Afridi is dream player to have in the team for any captain. His left arm pace brings variety in bowling.

11.Jasprit Bumrah
Probably the best pacer currently alongwith Cummins. He is effective against any teams, home or away.


Bench :-
1.Azhar Ali
This experienced veteran provides much stability to top order.

2.Hasan Ali
Backup Pacer for overseas conditions.


Rohit Sharma is captain of the team over Babar Azam as former has better captaincy record in limited overs cricket. This team has 7 Indians and 6 Paksitanis.

KL over Abdullah. KL can hit a hundred on any type of pitch on his day, he is an all conditions bat, just the injuries hurting him now. He was one of the top 3 batters in both England and SA recent tour. Hasn't played at home in this decade.

In current form, honestly Kohli don't belong in a current XI.

Outside subcontinent, I will drop Ashwin and pick a 4th pacer, probably Shardul.

Babar avg is less than vaas,nehra ,zoysa in 4th innings in aus.He has to prove a lot in sena.

I will go with jurel in sc and rizwan in sena till pant is fully fit.

One of Kapil/Jadeja will take up no.7 spot.

The only Pakistani player that I can think of that India would be interested in for all formats would be naseem shah,

Naseem excluding the asia cup game where even then he got Gill out 2x if it wasn't for brainless chacha,

Naseem has taken a wicket in every single international game he has played, including multiple 3 to 5 wicket hauls In some games and he's proven to be economical and adaptable and can bowl at any stage in the innings

Other then the shami, Siraj and bumrah trio, he can easily be taken as a 4th pacer.

Everyone else won't get selected.

1) Fakhar Zaman (They would only select him if he was more consistent, which he isn't, but they might take him in the camp and work on him tbf, which pcb is clueless on)

Naseem has an odi bowler maybe but the sample size is too small.

In tests he averages 73 in nz and 69 in eng, 40 away from home

Amir would have been great a few years ago but he's retired now and not a test player

Ik about naseem's test stats but imo, at such a young age he's good and he can easily become world class.

The thing is BCCI knows how to build teams. Naseem under indian management would be transformed completely so would fakhar and so would saim.

It's just pcb is a loser board that's all, Babar and rizwan would never get selected due to mentality that bcci wouldn't tolerate
