I didn't see the dismissal, but it seems typical of afridi to get carried away and get out just as he had Hoggard on his knees grovelling for mercy
Well done nonetheless

now that they are replaying it this catch is looking a little more suspect of Afridi
oh no. don't tell me this was also not out!

well zoomed in it looks as if the catch might have grazed the ground as tresco lodged his fingers underneath it but it looked clean enough i guess

Again doubtful. Im not sure if it was out, cant really tell from the replays but i think it may have hit the ground.

you cant really confidently say that was out
that is one of those that you got to trust the fielder

it didnt look doubtful enough to not be given out but bell better be facing a fine/ban after this match...

The benefit of doubt should always go to the goras
So says line 13.13 in the ICC rule book

i personally do not agree with this attitude as they cannot be the only ones to blame in our banning it must be something we do wrong and we must realize that

rules regarding that are simple.. fielder claims it.. its a catch. if umpire thinks otherwise, refer it to tv umpire.. which in this case he did not feel like doing.. and i think his decision was right.. it was out.. lets move on now shall we?

yes i agree forget this and move onto inzi and kami's potential partnership :D

If there is doubt it should go to the 3rd umpire who has the benefit of slow-motion replay. This isn't the age of fair sportsmanship. Just look at bowler appeals. The standards being employed here are surprising

you cartman get off this forum....or drop that attitude...clearly that ball bounced off the ground...n the rule is that it is wrong for a fielder to clame a catch when he hasn't caught it or isn't sure....

Mind elaborating on what we might be doing wrong?

Nah, it looked out to me. Those catches always look not out when you freeze frame and magnify because of the limitations of the picture being in 2 dimensions

i dont mean in this match but altogether such as when rashid latif was banned or when shabbir banned for chucking it is just rules being enforced

seconded

Cartman it isn't as if we can automatically trust the fielder in this day and age. Whatever rule says otherwise is a relic

inzi`s 23rd test century :14:

inzi`s 1st century at the iqbal stadium in faisalabad :14:

yesssssssssssss inzi gets 3 runs

I see this is going no where but the problem isn't that we have diff rules for goras and bhooras, the rules are the same ofcurse. They are just enforced in a different way.

why dont u go hail afridi some more.. maybe that will make me get off this forum you dimwit.

hehe. sorry i just find that peculiar, if it always looks not out then why do you...? :P

his 23rd test hundred looking to be one of the more significant ones of his career. His 17 of previous 22 hundreds are matchwinning ones :D good sign

Well played Inzi :14: Magnificent century

Around 80 overs to go in the day, maybe less.

England, batting well, will need at least 95 overs to overhaul Pakistan's current total let alone secure a lead.

The way things are heading, the two most likely outcomes are:

1. Match drawn
2. Pakistan victory, Inshallah.

There is absolutely no need for that

Why the insults?

exactly 50% leg side and off side runs for inzi :D gr8 batting and very varied in his shots now its time to rack up the sixes :D

guys its a game chill out its meant to be fun

If u don't like to read afridi being hailed, u r on the wrong forum buddy.

cartman has every right to say what he wants usman told him to get lost 1st.

if ur prepared to provoke then suffer the backlash!

Ikhwaan

Calm down, everybody.

We are all brothers here so why the bickering?

why thank u AJ. that idiot refused to listen to logic and told me to get lost.
we need to get over the whole "the world is against us mentality" or we risk turning into bigger whiners than the english themselves.. that was out plain and simple.. too bad if afridi is ur fav player and u cant digest him getting out at 92.. i aint losing any sleep over it. dont tell me to get off the forum like that unless ur prepared to get some in return.

The_Cricket_Devil said:
:119: the insults guys lets be happy of the gr8 position afridi put us in and not the nature of his dismissal
exactly, but if anyone wants to discuss his dismissal, as Usman wanted to, and as most of us did with Youhana's, i dont think it's right to try to silence him

waqar telling everyone about inzis record as skipper.

4 previous tons as skipper and 4 wins..

inzi gets his 5th today... inshallah a 5th test win
