No, they've got it wrong now.

Strauss can sit there looking smug all he likes but I doubt he'll manage that expression when he sees tomorrow's papers. Unless of course Harmison has a good day and takes something daft like 5/41.

To be fair it is only the 1st test. If Eng were 2-1 down and we saw this situation in the 4th test, then risks would be much more advised.

I would understand if it was in the Ashes and against Australia but against a lesser team like Pakistan and in a meaningless series as far as England are concerned I fail to understand this. :P

341 in 90 overs in the last day is a risk.
350 in 87 overs

385 in 82 overs..risk?

England are bunch of losers. I hope they dont get 4 test series in future. they do not deserve it
 
the right descision if you ask me..strauss has shut the game down for Pak...no point in giving a excting finish because it would mean england would have to chase the series if pak wins...now more likely it is a draw or england win..unless pak really chase...but with spread fields and tight bowling i doubt it...Pak will probably make about 280 odd for about 6...i think we may wobble a bit but england may run out of time as the ball gets softer...

if the are 90 behind cant the umpires give an extra half an hour of play
 
Say what you will everybody, but if Eng end up winning then it will look like the right gameplan. If Pak somehow win then Strauss might as well go into hibernation, he might even be considering that if it's a draw :D

Its the morning session, its not close of play on 5th day yet. For now we know one thing, and that is that we all know absolutely nothing.

Pak might actually have a chance, England do too provided that Pakistan collapse or Afridi goes beserk. For some reason, I believethere will be a result

From English perspective Pakistan would need a miracle to win from this point on. Even if someone decides to go buckwild they will spread the field and bowl down the legside. Its either English win or a draw so a good decision on English part. But its hard to win when you are scared to loose.
 
Well, I am gonna go home and sleep and awake up few hours later to find out the current situation..............

I'd say it's the wrong decision, I'd have liked to have seen them declare with 10 or 15 fewer runs, but it's not stupid as such. You can understand some of the reasons and I've seen far bigger blunders..

England could have won if they batted for another 5 overs. But is that the way you play test cricket.? is it :))) :)))
 
err..well told yu we would have a wobble..our openers are just not good enough..mr butt seems to have his confidence shot completley!!

he is just as much mediocre as butt or more .... sorry mate, but he sucks alot ...

getting bowled 3+~ times around his legs ... is bad enough
 
If we cant even play out the next 5 hours then that says alot about our batting ability, as far as I am concerned there are not many deamons in the pitch.

Why the hell cant Farhat and co. leave the ball alone on length, its clear that 50 percent of Harmi's bowling will go over the top of stumps.
