Remarkable fight back by Bharat lead by Rahul and Jadeja’s knocks, aided by grittiness shown Reddy, Bumrah, Akashdeep with the bat and eventually the bowling line up reducing the Aussies to an embarrassing 89/7

It’s safe to say that Bharat came from behind to dominate this test match and are expected to go to Boxing Day test match at the MCG holding the upper hand on Aussies who are now mentally bruised and seem to have no answer to the menace that is Jasprit Bumrah.

Most teams would have been 0-2 down by now at this stage. Series is live. Every result has some signifcance including draw.

India has earned this draw...that is for sure.

Australia had the chance to follow on India and then skittle them today by lunchtime. However, India had played out of their skin to avoid follow on and have Aus reeling at 89/7.

Unfortunately rain came at the wrong time...otherwise India would have gone for the target considering Aussies were 1 bowler down.

It is a well earned draw for India and lucky escape for Australia. If you ask both the sides, Aussies will feel relieved and India will be touch disappointed of missing on a win.

Remember Rajdeep's original prediction - the only test match Australia will win in this series is the pink ball test.

Westindies recently drew the series in Australia.
Both India and Australia have weak batting lineups making it a bit of a lottery with Bumrah in that kind of form.

LOL, it was a 2 Test series.

It was a two match series. If england vs india series in england would have 2-3 test match series than india would have won twice since 2014 .

India were leading the series 1-0 after forst Two test match ( 1st test was drawn due to rain otherwise india were favourite to win ok 5th day and therefore 2-0 lead)

Same case in 2014 when india lead the series 1-0 .

4-5 match test series means home team will most likely to win even they has lost the one test from first Two test.

:kp :genius

Australia under the hammer now.

Will be interesting to see how they manage a roaring Jasprit Bumrah at the MCG with the crowd behind him. Expecting a good turnout by Sanatani diaspora to turn out to support the motherland.

Nothing to read much into todays play. Both teams knew they would get max half a day worth of overs in so it was just like a practice hitout

In hindsight Cummins might be regretting not declaring overnight at 405/7. But then if weather hadnt panned out like the forecast said he would have come in for criticism

Only one team was trying to avoid a follow on and that team can't be having any imaginary victory.

Now if quetion is changed to,

Did India have a sense of relief in Gaba tests due to rain and avoiding follow on? Then answer is affirmative.

No moral victory in sport. Honestly Ind got out of jail here. No way was Ind chasing a 350 type target in the 4th innings even with Aus being 1 bowler down. Ind couldnt chase 150 in the home series against NZ in the 3rd test. As long as leeches kohli rohit are there - Ind batting will struggle. The bowling or Bumrah is bailing them out aided with a good knocks by one of the other batsmen. It can go pear shaped in the 4th test if rohit kohli continue to bat miserably.

This Indian team has been a bit lucky. We are not playing really good cricket. Over dependant on Bumrah.

2018 Indian team played good cricket and weren’t getting as much success as deserved. Sydney test was India’s win and it got abandoned due to rain. They played good cricket in SA 2018 too but result went SA way.

This Indian team didn’t played very well in last tour of South Africa but somehow managed to draw the series 1-1.

Current Indian team’s batting is the lowest it has ever been in the history of Indian cricket in last 60 years.

If avoiding follow-on is a victory according to India fans, then yeah, they can celebrate this as a moral victory.
