Lot of people quipping about decimation of the bowling or similar. Makes sense if you compare the names on the sheet of XIs submitted by both teams.

However, I would be surprised if that happens without a Warner who fires. AUS have been under enormous pressure and have seemed to second-guess their own game at times.

Pressure stemming from: expectations of winning at home, Kohli less IND hence the idea of sweeping aside IND reinforced in their minds, unexpected grit and resilience being shown, unable to “express” themselves or channel their expletive-ridden vitriol and the methodical (strategic) approach by IND when bowling/fielding have left them uncertain.

AUS have seemed to be playing the opposition instead of the ‘ball’ for large parts of this series. Unless Marnus or Steve go big here, would be very difficult for them to get a big score someone else randomly stepping up notwithstanding.

I have zero idea on what basis Thakur was included. He is not even a domestic bully. Natarajan at this point very raw even for T20. Good bowler. But for Tests too early. Saini no test bowler. Siraj is good. Sundar is a T20 bowler. Not a test match bowler.
