What's new

England [260/2] beat India [256/8] by eight wickets in the 3rd ODI to win the series 2-1

England will have to bat out of their skin. Why in the hell will you bowl stokes ahead of plunkett. stokes is a certified choker

One thing is established... Stokes is gully mohallah level, but the English commies and certain PP'ers here make him out to be Khan, Botham, Dev level :)))

He isn't even fit to polish the shoes of the guys who polish their shoes.

He is not in their league as a bowler, but as good a bat as any of them, and as good a catcher as Botham who had 120 catches in 93 tests.

We really are scraping at the bottom of the barrel if we are bringing in catching :))

What do you think, fellas?

256 a good score on this deck?

What is the use of Dhawan, Sharma, Kohli when you only muster 257 against this club level attack :azhar :shezzy :moha

Indian middle order is club level. We are 60 short. It is clear that minus the Duo of "Kul-Cha" this series would be 5-0

One thing is sure... Rahul is not getting the kind of extended and detailed run of chances that Rohit got in the beginning of his career (and even till today!) As if this Indian XI is well established with full of world beaters! I think only Kohli, Bumrah & Kuldeep are the absolute selection for World XI, rest of them all have weaknesses which only means you should give extended run for classy guys like Rahul (his failures are mostly based on his uncertainty in the team selection). Rohit, Dhawan & others are not doing any different (even they are inconsistent!) Even Rahul is getting those odd brilliant 100s! So why such treatment towards him? I can understand if Rahul struggled to make into playing XI consisting of Sehwag, Gambhir, Sachin, Kohli, Prime Dhoni & Yuvaraj (world cup 2011), but certainly not in current XI which only needs itself (it has the scope) to reach that 2011 level & even better... Unfortunately the think thank doesn't have that vision! They want to kill this side and Kohli himself (a great player, but one of the dumbest captain) isn't helping matters much! Indians are getting carried away with the wins they are getting due to some individual brilliance!

Why? Catches win matches. You think Maco’s figures would have looked that good without Clive, Viv, Bird, Richie swallowing everything at slip?

Kohli and Shastri team selection and dhoni worship mega flop. Why raina plays instead of rahul?Without rahul we are again a no depth joke.He needs to play at 3.Kohli 4.Karthik 5.Iyer/Pant 6.Pandya 7.

India would win this easy, this pitch is turning and English Batsmen are horrible with a turning ball.

England will finish this off in 25 overs....very good batting pitch

All depends on How England play the spinners, they managed Kuldeep a bit better last game but the ball is spinning. Would put it at 50/50 for now.

Other batsmen share some part also, this is not only 3 players’ responsibility. Do you want to drop these 3 also as you mentioned whats their use?

India can win, but Kuldeep needs 4 wickets minimum.

BK bowling in low 70's and too short. He does not look fit.

He is just pure trundler agree or not. Fed up of people overrating him. He is just good for test if pitch is helping him else he is useless there too.

Was hoping to see a close decider but its all one way Yorkshire traffic here.

Where is the ATG great chinaman?

England will win this in 30th over.

Get spinners in and see how it goes. If they fail, then just wave the white flag and save the fans some time.

An economy of 4.9 is brilliant in this day and age in ODI cricket.

Why is Pandya opening the bowling attack? :)))

The other guy Thakur is even worse.

Our selectors keep picking useless trundlers over and over again. Anyone who bowls above 140k never gets into the team.

MSD also loves trundlers. Does not hurt his hands when gathering the ball.

bairstow scored 30 of 13 balls.

Now compare that to Sharma's 2 of 18 balls.

Rohit made this wicket look like a mine field.

As usual, Rohit is either feast or famine. After a couple of hundreds, he plays a string of stinkers. Just when fans are getting impatient, he scores another 2 hundreds. The story of his career.

Its a beautiful pitch to bat on.

Rohit and Dhoni made this pitch look like a minefield.

Malcolm Marshall returns from the other end.

WC in England , and we'll have

Bhuvaneshwar (good economy wise)
Bumrah (strike bowler)
Pandya (can cost heavily with his bowling)
Yadav (Indian Wahab)
Thakur ()

India will only be playing 2 seamers.
Our bowling attack will be
1) BK
2) Bumrah
3) Pandya
4) Kuldeep
5) Chahal/Ashwin

The above is a given. The rest will not even make the squad. The backup will be Umesh Yadav.

His failures annoys me very much.

I just wish he becomes more reliable especially considering his talent.

I would really like to know how this word "trundler" originated...

In England its often referred to old, clapped out , trucks, vans which 'trundle' along in front of you at speeds half the speed limit.

Then Indian bowlers were seen on t.v :bumble

What do Indian selectors see in Shardul Thakur? A short man who bowls in mid 130's. His only go to delivery is knuckle ball.

How can a pacer be 5'7" and make it at this level with no skills?

and he doesn't even have good domestic figures either.

Yet another boundary.Bhuvi will be replaced after this over.

He’s been too expensive considering the small target.

Brother I am talking about seamers. It's a long tournament, and ur main seamers could get injured by playing 9 matches on the trott.

If we have Thakurs, Kaurs and Yadavs as back up then..

Dhoni standing up to Bhuvi "firebolts" Kumar.

What is wrong in giving ODI caps to guys like Khaleel Ahmed, Nagarkoti, Avesh Khan...? These guys are no worse than Shardul Thakur who got pummeled by everyone since Nidahas Trophy.

Our selectors, Coach, Captain are all a big joke. If you do not have skills and pace, you are not good enough at the highest level. But BCCI does not see it.

Commentator saying Bhuvi "picked up pace" and is in the "40s, mid 40s" ?

Manjerekar making excuses about how its sunny now and how it was overcast when India were batting. :)) symbolic of a team getting owned.

Just bring in the spinners and throw in the last dice.

No point in bowling these trundlers. They can fluke a wicket every once in a while and thats about it.

Without Bumrah, this bowling attack is looking pathetic.

Bhuvi has an economy of 5.65 and an average of 44.4 in the last 3 years. He's the Ajinkya Rahane of ODIs.

And then legends like Rahat Ali and Mohammad amir became the face of trundling. :amir
