There it is.

This Test is about retirement of Cook and Anderson going past McGrath.

Great test match.

I think the last two matches were fantastic in that in the last test match England's spinners out bowled India's spinners and in this one, England won on the least seaming and swinging track of the series.

Sure, though two more of the tests could easily have gone to India. It could have been 3-2 either way.

Played in a wonderful generous spirit too.

Once again test cricket shows why it is the best format - the drama, the human stories, the emotional satisfaction - like a HBO box set.

Wow, emotional stuff for England. James Anderson in tears at the interview.

What makes Anderson's achievements more remarkable is that he had badly lost form from 2003 onwards and was discarded, ignored over the likes of Flintoff, Hoggard, Harmison, Jones, Plunkett and co from 2003 to 2007.

Once he became a regular from 2007 onwards, he has not looked back at all

Best day for English cricket in a long time. Cook gets his farewell and Anderson breaks the record. This is what they needed after an abysmal winter.

India competed but didn't complete to borrow Shastri's phrase at Edgbaston and Southampton - and those two Tests is what they'll rue.
