What's new

England beat Pakistan by 6 wickets in third ODI, chasing down 359 with ease

The fact is pitches are flat and that's where wrist spiiners will come into picture.. ooo wait we don't know what is wrist spinner is .. Never mind.....

ENG 106/0 (13.0)
Faheem Ashraf, right-arm medium, comes into the attack

Oh boy, they're gonna chase this down in 35 overs. This is gonna be very very embarrassing.

Sarfarz needs to put a halt on call all the bowlers together for a few mins to break the flow, Indians are master at doing that.

If Malik or Imad was captain, certain posters would be talking about the captaincy. But when Sarfraz is captain, we don't talk about the captaincy.

Your talking about that Syed1 guy

Come on Klusner. Fluke us some wickets.

Never mind. First ball six :faheem

If Imam gets a hundred on this pitch at over 100 strike rate , shows what a flat pitch is this.

I think only India top 3 or Aussies can match up with this English batting blow for blow, on such a road,

India most certainly cannot match this kind of turbo-charged batting . If the wickets are not flat, I'd back us to beat England but on flat belters these guys will outgun us easily. Australia with Finch,Warner ,Maxwell ,stoinis probably can though.

We need spinners for these tracks - they have been our strength in recent times.

English grounds are so dissppointing. Very high scoring grounds, no fun at all...

England openers are in full attack mode now. Need slower balls, variation. Something to disrupt their rhythm.

Selectors are pathetic if all of us sitting over here on pakpassion can clearly call for Haris Rauf, Wahab Riaz, Umer Khan, Zafar Gohar not sure what the selectors see in bowlers that just ball straight without any pace or ability to spin/swing the ball. Imad Wasim has become a joke, nothing bowler and quite defenitely no allrounder

I honestly feel sorry for Faheem. He is way out of his depth.

High quality PSL bowlers taken for hoick by recently returned IPL batters

It's a England going to win that's a sure thing, how many overs they need to score 359 that's a question.

The new style pitches are messing up ODIs 270-280 pitches test everyone such pitches make hitting easy and viewing a bit boring.

Faheem is one dumb bowler. Roy is staying back, waiting for anything short. And Faheem proceeds to bowl five short deliveries

Every batsman in England’s order can bat, it will take a miraculous collapse for Pakistan to win this.

Poor drop from Shaheen, that really was a sitter.

England batters are all dynamic. Virtually impossible to beat on these tracks in England

I actually, tend to think opposite. These type of wickets give other good teams a chance to post a big total or budle ENG for lower totals and ENG won't chase that against quality spinners or new ball bowlers - I can bet if IND, SAF or AUS, even NZ puts 330+, their spin & new ball attack will get Poms off guard more often than not.

ENG will be unstoppable on 250-300 sort of wicket where there is something for the bowlers, which will assist their weak bowling but their batting power & depth will allow always to put a decent total or get out of jail from a tight corner - last year they won a game from 7-6 start on a low scoring ground.

If WC is played on such tracks, I'll put my money on AUS-IND Final - teams that don't crumble under pressure and can bat aggressively as well on belters, and teams that has wicket taking bowlers.

India most certainly cannot match this kind of turbo-charged batting . If the wickets are not flat, I'd back us to beat England but on flat belters these guys will outgun us easily. Australia with Finch,Warner ,Maxwell ,stoinis probably can though.
No man, Hitman rohit alone can smash poms pop gun attack to pieces. India can score 400 and if Pandya gets going even 450 possible. Aussies definitely can, Kiwis and staffers also has outside chance so does windies.

Dont remember a lot of ODIs in recent times where we have successfully defended any total under Sarfaraz.

What a boring boring match! If this is how the wickets will play for the World Cup, prepare yourselves for a mindless run-fest.
