What's new

England beat Pakistan by 6 wickets in third ODI, chasing down 359 with ease

BAirstow making our batsmen look like tailenders..... I must admit 500 on the cards if England batted first

Pak getting tonked & to top it all off seems like the brexiteers are in the crowd tonight.. giving pak players a lot of flak.

People were saying five ODI before WC will help us.Feel this will demoralize us.It was good to play Zim

Million dollar question.

Will England win this in the 35th over or can we drag it to the 40th?:uakmal

Don't remember many one day matches we have won at all recently

Because either we cant restrict opposition in most games when they are batting first or we cant defend anything. Batting has been good in recent times surprisingly

It's crazy but pitches in UAE are more accommodating to fast bowlers than in England in one day cricket

Call shinwari back in and we have a perfect pathetic Phatanic attack of all times.

When u know u bat upto No 11 then u can bat like this.Compare to our team where after one wicket collapse occurs

I'm playing stick cricket on my phone right now and England are still out scoring me :))

No man, Hitman rohit alone can smash poms pop gun attack to pieces. India can score 400 and if Pandya gets going even 450 possible. Aussies definitely can, Kiwis and staffers also has outside chance so does windies.

I have a bad feeling that nobody can stop England here. To be fair to them they have prepared for the World Cup better than anyone else. They have been playing as a unit for nearly 4 years and their methodical madness deserves to be appreciated. Other teams simply didn't care enough until nth hour. They are gonna make the pitches flat and smash the hell out of all the other teams.

India most certainly cannot match this kind of turbo-charged batting . If the wickets are not flat, I'd back us to beat England but on flat belters these guys will outgun us easily. Australia with Finch,Warner ,Maxwell ,stoinis probably can though.

If wicket & condition remains same, trust me most feared team (some days, they are not consistent enough to win the tournament) will be WIN. Gayle, Hope, Russell, Lewis, Powell, Hetmyer, Pooran ....... some days they'll crack a nuke!!!!

If pitches are like this in the world Cup no one is stopping this England batting line up.

Only team is India with their bowling attack

I say bring back Wahab Riaz, heck even Umar Gul and Sami

Why there hasn't been 1 yorker tried? When Roy was going. He was even getting out of his play zone. Trying to over do.

With all due respect to Pakistan, this is very entertaining from England. There are no batsmen in the world that have the guts to go at 9 RPO in the first 15 overs of an ODI.

This team is something special.

The pitch wasn't easy at first when we were batting. It was swinging. And now there is nothing happening for bowlers. The ball is coming at a nice height with a good pace.

Man this has gone to whole level, To a level where it don't even hurt, don't know what to call this feeling, its just feel inevitable.

Either that or our bowling is ****.

Set them up on a relatively slow wicket like the one Pakistan played in CT17 vs England. And they will collapse.

They can only dominate on absolute cement phata pitches

ENG 145/0 (16.0) . Awesome batting. Can any batter get 200 today ?

SOS should be sent and Akmal and Khushdil brought into the squad on such pitches matches are won by quick 50s and 100s in the top order.

This is why we are getting smashed its heaven on earth for England at the moment.

People thought this was good prep befor WC, seems like the players will have scars for life here.

They have Immense talent also on sidelines.Billings,Vince etc

I actually, tend to think opposite. These type of wickets give other good teams a chance to post a big total or budle ENG for lower totals and ENG won't chase that against quality spinners or new ball bowlers - I can bet if IND, SAF or AUS, even NZ puts 330+, their spin & new ball attack will get Poms off guard more often than not.

ENG will be unstoppable on 250-300 sort of wicket where there is something for the bowlers, which will assist their weak bowling but their batting power & depth will allow always to put a decent total or get out of jail from a tight corner - last year they won a game from 7-6 start on a low scoring ground.

If WC is played on such tracks, I'll put my money on AUS-IND Final - teams that don't crumble under pressure and can bat aggressively as well on belters, and teams that has wicket taking bowlers.

I agree 100%. July will serve drier surfaces and kuldeep chahal bumrah will pose a serious threat to this line up

Enfland were also bowling at that speed. It has nothing to do with that.

Believe it or not all our bowlers are rubbish. Against India, Australia or even NZ should comfortably win with this runs.

Captain doesnt know how to defend any total

Majority of the pitches nowadays are flat, and this WC will be no different.

England is the team to beat. No matter how bad Pakistan is bowling right now, you need next level cojones to go out there and smash pretty much every delivery to the boundary.

If it was up to me, I’d tell every bowler to land six deliveries on the base of stumps. Sure some will go for six but if even one sneaks through that’s a much needed wicket.

No, it would have been good to play 10-12 List A games against County sides. Game has changed lot but fundamentals haven't changed much - before WC, you don't play against one of the contenders - win or loose, it puts extra pressure through expectations or demoralization. In 1992, AUS, IND, WIN failed to make SF after 15 games WSC, in 2003 PAK was rubbish after 3 months SAF-ZIM tour ....

And, it's applicable for every team - we are wasting time and energy bashing WIN reserves, which has zero input for WC, when it'll matter.
