Pakistan A has match 5th odi on 5 December and emerging asia cup on 6th december with first match to be played by pakistan how will they reach in 1 night . Wasn't it better to announce different squad with youngsters and saud shakeel as captain

I think Rizwan should be playing first test match against SA or atleast he should be in test squad,Inzi once again did dirty politics by selecting him in Emerging cup,,how ie he emerging player when he participated in same tournament 2 years ago, baffeling @mmha.

In my opinion, M. Rizwan is not a test player, sooner we realise, the better we will be!

Saud Shakeel is the future and he should be invested in as soon as possible but somehow he mysetriously disappeared from the ODI squad (completely)!

A brave and amazing fight to the end by Pakistan A captain Mohammad Rizwan (141*) is in vain as England Lions win the 3rd OD by 22 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series; Scores : EngL 245, Pak A 223/9 (50 ov, target 246);

Rizwan batted well and deserves all the kudos but he is the problem as well. He has been undermining a highly rated and talented batsman like Saud by constantly coming in before him in the 4 day games when that format is clearly not his strongest suits. And stats are there for everyone to see from that series.

This ODI team is full of pirchi or connected older players (some almost proven average players) and that is why they are so up and down from one game to the other

Saud should have been captaining this A team.Agreed.

ECB Media release:

Ollie Pope scored an enterprising 93 as the Lions beat Pakistan A by 22 runs in the third 'ODI' to go 2-1 up in the five-match series in the UAE.

Captain Lewis Gregory again won the toss but his side were soon in a spot of bother at 57-4. Pope, alongside first Liam Livingstone and then Gregory himself, saved the tourists and took them to a competitive total of 245.

Three early wickets in reply - two from Mark Wood - put the Lions in the hunt but Pakistan A skipper Mohammad Rizwan - fresh off 94 in the second 'ODI' - looked in complete control.

Unfortunately for Rizwan, but fortunately for the Lions, with the exception of Adil Amin he was never able to get much company at the other end.

Dom Bess trapped Amin leg-before and then took two more wickets to turn the game in the Lions favour and they went on to win by 22 runs. They'll reconvene at Abu Dhabi for the fourth 'ODI' on December 2.

December 2: Fourth 50-over match v Pakistan A, Abu Dhabi

December 5: Fifth 50-over match v Pakistan A, Dubai

December 7: First T20 v Pakistan A, Abu Dhabi

December 8: Second T20 v Pakistan A, Abu Dhabi

Inzimam is showing that he can talk the talk but cannot walk the walk. Some of the selections in this side have been ridiculous. Why are average, and overage pensioners like Zohaib Khan playing? Why are deserving talents like Saud Shakeel left out of the side?

It is an absolute disgrace and this is the reason our players can't develop as the sifarish system will not let them. Look how many young players the England Lions team have compared to us.

Inzimam needs to stand up and be counted or resign if he is unfit for the job.

I would rather lose 5-0 against England Lions whilst trialing the youth than lose/win 3-2 whilst using older players.

The Pak A Team is for developing our younger players and and helping them to get ready for the International side. It should not be treated as a paycheck for the chief selectors buddies.
