England reach 36/2 at stumps on Day 3, chasing 297 to win the second Test against Pakistan

another 70/80 runs will be good also bowling again Pakistan will be tired
 
Overall good session but I think Pakistan lost 1 more wicket than they would have liked.

Saim looked okay. Abdullah is out of touch. You can not be a dud vs spin and make a match winning 100 at Galle.
 
Pakistan should bat as long as possible so England will have less time to get the runs, they will attack more and lose their wickets easier. Hope Nauman bats before Sajid as he has better ability, as usual Pakistan do not know the strength of their tail batting.

I see Duckett as the main danger much like Sehwag was. We just have had a quick pacer like Hasnain for duckett at least for some chin music. England planned better eventhough they may loose
 
Pakistan need minimum 350 to be on safe side. Still a lot of time left in the game. No risks

100%. England waste time by purposely not bowling quota within required limit. Change balls if there is no swing.
Glad he did that. Sajid should do it more.

I remember seeing a video of ponting doing the same thing towards the end of the innings in the WC final of 2003

Pitch is not exactly a minefield and Pak must some set 300 target other wise it will be close encounter , 245-265 target will put England favorites here , must get to 300 to have a real chance.

Bat long is a problem. You'll get a delivery with your name on. Best is attack when in your zone and solid in defence. Target a particular bowler. Too much time to get runs isn't going to work for England they bazz ballers.

Got to be street smart. Pak lack that. Heck our players don't even know cricket rules. Look at Sajid khan run out incident yesterday were he gave it out himself after breaking wickets
 
Having scored just 366 in the first inns was where they probably lost grip initially.

England were always going to catch up quickly to whatever they'll score so was pointless scratching to 366 where they needed atleast 500 and try have a bigger lead than what they got eventually.
 
Saud needs a hard kick up the backside for getting starts and then throwing his wicket away. Him and Rizwan's ordinary batting has been a feature in our 2nd innings collapses.
 
Sheer stupidity by Saud. Again I don't understand why Rizwan was sent above Agha.
Agha again will have to fight lone battle
 
No matter the result, its good to see the fight from Pakistan without Shaheen and Babar
 
Only the second time that Saud has been dismissed to the sweep in Tests according to Cricviz.

When Saud was ready, PCB took forever to select him and wasted his years. They did exactly the same thing to Kamran Ghulam and now Shan Masood is keeping Hurraira on bench. When will PCB learn?

As I type this, Jamal gone, but no worries we already got more than enough to win this game.
 
Thank god captain quickly realised that Nouman is better than Sajid, if it was Babar he would still be stuck with the same order aka Hasan Ali always batting before better tail end bats.

I don't think Pakistan are safe. It will take one big partnership for Pakistan to lose all the confidence and probably the match
 
Pakistan is leaving the door open here. They could have put England away with 300+.

This would've meant that Pak had a lead of 300+ by now and game could've been 50-50.

Now it's pretty much England's game as anything under 300 isn't a threat.
