Just need to hang there.. Still there's plenty of bats.. If Shami/Kumar or Root/Anderson can play out 50 overs then why cant they (indian lower middle and tails)..?

Essentially India 3 down for 120 odd. Engarrlaand have maybe 30 overs left to make a game of it.

don't think so.. Another 100 plus runs from here then India is safe even England get a bat... I almost sure they don't force a win if they get bat especially when Cook is terribly out of form....!!

I get what you are saying.

Look at the position India was at. 100 run lead with 1 wicket to get. If we had knocked them over with a lead of of even 80 runs or so, the game would have been different.

Look at the whole day's play and judge. England totally crushed a dangerous situation and made it even stevens. So it makes it their day. We went from an advantageous position to even stevens. So it makes it NOT our day.

There was an innings Tendulkar played in 1999 Adelaide Test, where he left everything that was bowled to him.. and did not score for around 40-50 balls.

Honking pitch. Ruins bowling averages while letting batsmen fill their boots.

Some of those players on both sides must be kicking themselves for not getting a free century on this pitch.

Geoffrey Boycott's mum could score runs on this pitch in her pinny so the others players should have got some too.

Does that mean clouderson and barbie are useless unless there are clouds in the sky and pitch is a green top ? :))

Crunch time...can the Engerlund tear through the Indian batting to try and force an improbable win? Or will India hang on for a famous draw? 90 overs to death or glory.

Heading towards a quiet draw I feel......unless something miraculous happens to the pitch today.

Pitch might have livened up a bit with the showers around. I want a shocking test match with both sides finding it difficult to bat on today.. Will be a good end to the test match no matter who wins
 
Another failure for Kohli.

If the draw is locked on at lunch then England should bowl Robson, Root, and Ali.

Virat Kohli has a lot to prove in tests, his high rating on this forum notwithstanding. And as I type this, England get one more. This is turning out to be a wonderful test after all!
 
Why can't Broad bowl like this all the time? :po: He can look absolutely world-class when he feels like it.
 
I hope Dhoni stays on, so he can have prime tickets to watch Jadeja, Binny and all the other hacks whom he picked into the side himself, get themselves out in embarrassing fashion one after another.
 
England are bowling very well, full straight and swinging it.
Gonna be hard work for india.
 
If this stays cloudy India can still win this Bk would be pretty deadly in overcast conditions

Ishant is pretty decent in overcast conditions in NZ when it was cloudy he did well. Even in this Test his spell on Day 3 was when it was a bit overcast. I wouldnt count India out just yet
